I don't know how this video popped up on my YT page but I watched the whole thing just because this lady know her shit. She did an awesome job selling it.
sorry to be so offtopic but does someone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot my login password. I would love any tricks you can give me!
@Luke Ibrahim I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Well that's what we all said...'I don't need a new trailer'...until the lady suddenly appeared in the yard with our brand new trailer! Just might as well start clearing some room for a new trailer;)
Coming from a guy who has to occasionally run "antique" Rogers lowboys...and sometimes makes UA-cam videos - This video is super informative and the presenter is extremely well versed and knowledgeable about this trailer. Your video production team did a great, professional job here.
The best product review I've seen, bar none. Obviously a genuinely knowledgable, thorough and informed presenter, very familiar with their product, and the fact she a woman is really nice to see for a change, especially since the product is historically a male dominated field.
I saw one of these unload the other day and I was very impressed with the gooseneck. The pad was not level when he unhooked and I thought this idiot is gonna be stuck here. After he unloaded he backed right up lifted it up and was out of there before I even realized he was hooked back up. I was very impressed.
Great ideas !! Just and old welder /millwright observation!, THE WELDS ON THE REAR AND FRONT(top and bottom brackets)OF THE TRAILER. ( hold down/add on anchor points ), needs work !! The welds show poor tie in and some "cold" rolling !!! Do you need someone to ckeck/train your welders and machines! High quality flux core wire will help! Be well !
I like our Trail King but I'd be interested in seeing the adapter hooked up to allow for the 125" swing on this trailer, just a thought but show all the options on and off next time.
I'm guessing you're from somewhere other than North America that has much smaller roads. Trailer and truck length isn't nearly as much of a concern here because the roads are generally much larger and easier to navigate. The extended decks don't usually get used much either unless hauling something very large which requires a permit, escort and pre-planned route. What is a double gooseneck pin?
@@averyw.3939 when you detach the gooseneck from the trailer you lower those pin so the gooseneck wil stay level ar your truck. They are on the chassis behind the 5th weel
She’s impressive, but as a hobby lover of these trucking stuffy stuff… I’m drowning in the features/advantages… any option/improved features would benefit from inserts or small arrows/circles highlights… Lift axle for example… Ride hight with pict of the different result of the setting. Not a single video of a moving/operated truck+trailer :-(
?? All you have to do is get under them. With pins, you absolutely have to be level or you're not hooking up. On a pin trailer if you unhook and one side drops down there's no way to lift it to get a block underneath. With the hooks, it doesn't much matter if one side is high or low.
Thinking she is a steel engineer / designer with a specialty in DOT field, maybe a PE that has spent time in a fed or State DOT job... Fontaine owes an answer on this professionals biography.
If it was a guy it wouldn’t matter right? There’s plenty of women who grew up with a family buisness I’d say she’s in the buisness and knows what she’s talking about because she had history just like a male would
My comment was highly complimentary and anyone with any level of sophistication should know it had nothing to do with her being a her,, The comment is about a sharp person that Fontaine should make the professional biography known as it is likely very interesting and substantial. Take your negative attitude elsewhere it is not needed nor condoned...
How long does it take to be so knowable about this equipment? She’s a real pro. I’m an electrician and I’m thinking of buying one. Can I tow it with a service van?
If these trailer were to be imported to Australia they need to be modified Guards need to be over wheels Deck needs to be a spreader Laws are different in Australia
Sorry your trailers get very weak after a couple years. I have had them and traded them. Motor out in the open is a very weak engineering. Southern states only and no salt. Sorry been there and done that. Ps your a pretty lady.
The exposed air valves and air couplers are subject to corrosion, getting full of dirt and freezing in ice and snow. Gladhands are easier to use and less costly to replace.
So kinda looking at this, it's kinda good but then kinda screechy too. She kinda keeps saying kinda, so it's kinda aggravating cos it's kinda a good trailer and the presentation is kinda ok too. But then, if it's only kinda good, it's not kinda really good so I kinda won't be buying.
Lighter in weight, simpler to use, less BS. I do admire Euro trailers, but having run steerable trailers, I much prefer the simpler design of North American for everyday operations. Plus, our roads in NA are typically larger, which is why we don't use the more "advanced" European style gear. It's also why we predominantly run "bonnet trucks", instead of cabovers...
I work in Fleet maintenance here in Ireland and can seriously say apart from no steering axles Fountain Trailers have more options and remember if you don't want to pay for steering axles you wont get them. Have friend;s that use these trailers and they are high quality Ohh I forgot add Farmers here do heavy haul you dont need a truck cos under adiversification they're going put people outta business yeah just pull out the old farm tractor a trailer with no tread left and not forgetting no working lights.
@@deloreandmc9600 yeah, farmers do the same here in Ontario. Put a CAT D5 dozer on a hay wagon, and pull it down the road with and old John Deere tractor. Sometimes throw 4 way flashing lights and a slow moving vehicle sign on the back...
You didn't watch the video? The rear axle is an air lift axle. The front is a manual lift axle with the chains. I'm sure you could get lift axles on all three if you want. Steerable axles open a can of worms because the frame has to have room for them which compromises the strength.
@@tiredoldmechanic1791 I did watch the video I have worked on german trailer awhile back and he 3 steering axles we had it in for a sevice because he was out of his country when the service was required. No that is what you can put on the trailer. It’s not like these bullshit gooseneck makers that say I have a 30,000 pound gooseneck but you have to subtract 10,000 for the weight of the trailer so the gooseneck makers say well you can only haul 20,000 .
No. A 35 ton lowbed you can put 35 tons on it. A 55 ton trailer, you can put 55 tons on it. It's not like the stupid smaller trailers where they call it a 5 ton trailer but you can only put like 3.7 tons on it.

looks a lot like the gooseneck design used by Liddell, which is not a bad thing. I pulled one for 18 years without any problems.

Large main beam hooks that can make it a pain to load some equipment and must be hooking up on near perfectly level ground.
