I’m here because of Eagle’s blog...
Yep
Same
Wow, his German accent was so much thicker.
Met him today and was told about his insane distance and seeing what he uses its even more impressive that he has 2 discs for crazy distance. This guy is a beast in every way possible.
Still a legend!
Sooooo CRAZY simple, I Love it!!!
I dig the simple approach
How do you keep your disc in so high quality shape? Even just my new nova putter already has like 1 dent in it.. And my champion plastic discs get scuffs!
Awesome! One question though, what weigh are you throwing? All full weight?
ha firebirds are awesome
3.32 Nice drive at Lauste 1
So many discs behind him.
what simon actually USES out of those (i think): p2, firebird, pd2
Skinny Simon I just can’t like as much
Almost 10 years later, winning DGLO with MVP...What a career!
Where was this filmed? ...And when's the best time to break in...?
"They've super amount of glide"
His English has gotten quite a lot better over the years :D
This video has made me really interested in Discmania Discs. I usually don't like Innova because of how inconsistent their molds tend to be, but from what I've been reading Discmania is much more consistent. I've been throwing trilogy discs (lat 64, westside, dynamic) for the past two years. I think over the winter I'm going to put together a Discmania bag. Love Simons simplicity.
No PD in the bag? That was as big surprise.
This is how to play. Find what works for you and just go with it. Simon's got a cannon and he can throw to the moon.
If you have a mold you like, get a couple of them and wear them in. I have a bunch of different Roc3's in different plastics and they all do something a little different. I've got one I can turn, a couple I can roll, one that goes straight, and one that hyzers out. Keeping the bag as simple as you can is a great tip for any beginner.
Is this what you still use on the course
Wow Simon has become so much more comfortable in front of a camera since 7 years ago!
Simon, you should make a driving tip video and show us how to get those discs fly crazy distances :)
Banger
FD's one of the best and underrated discs in the game!
Thanks for the video! The end was pretty hilarious.
Pretty cool how they stamp the discs.
lmao the dubstep era
Watching this 10 years later, his accent has REALLY faded
It's just that guys like Simon really "know what they're doing". Give him 10 thrown and he will probably be able to flip every one exactly back to flat. Can you do the same? Me for example, I like what I can control - release the discs straight, they stay straight and fade, but still I need discs that will hold their turn and also some that are bricks. Not saying less discs is worse, but for the average player, a healthy number of discs (you really shouldn't have too many...) is more effective.
There's a high chance they're in between 1st and 2nd runs in terms of stability. That's what his signature line FD's are at least.
they have a new run out like simon said. Its made out if the new jolly launcher plastic.
Are those FD's 2nd run very flat and stable ones? They sure look like it...
I think you can get the blizzard one as almost 170g
if only the pd2 was still made in the c line
get rid of that fn dubstep opening music
2020 called... dis is de old version of new simon :)
WUBWUBTHISWUBISWUBWHATSWUBINMYWUBBAGGGG
The md2 is way more over stable than md1
it's back
I bought a c-line pd2 and it is not stable, it turns over every time, and no im not turning it out of my hand. Is there a certain run that is understable? If so which one and how do you determine the run..?
Syfiewow that's crazy maybe you are just over powering it, we need to remember it's a 9 speed disc so that's a possibility
Joseph Mccluskey It's actually a 12 speed disc. I have one that's suuuper overstable for me, I throw 375, 400+ on my best. If this guy really is releasing this disc flat and turning it over too much, then either A. He's got a 500+ foot arm or B. It's the most understable PD2 known to man.
I doubt you throw harder than Simon & Eagle lol
Someone linked this video commenting on the virtues of using only a few discs. Really? 7 molds/16 discs? Stop carrying weights on your back and disc down. 1 putter, 2 mids, and 1 or 2 drivers is all you need...
