i dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Alejandro Elijah i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I love designing my own sounds. Making music is much more fun and enjoyable that way. It's worth the extra 'effort' and can even be quicker than sifting through presets.
This topic woke up the urgency of preparing everything before submitting to libraries. I am still practicing mixing and mastering and defining my workflow but I haven't thought about different versions of a track. Good tip!
I learned so much from this video. Thanks guys. Yes and music supervisors have really short deadlines. They need the work cleared and done for the scenes.
aaaaah nice, I mod synths HARD. It's kinda what people know me for :D I can't wait for you to hear something I've made with your teachings involved. definitely will write something in the morning.
I personally attest that these are two great gentlemen masters of production music! I joined the Sync Academy and it's all UP from here. If you are serious and willing to work hard, the sky is ...just the beginning. ;~)
My question is I usually produce instrumentals for rap artist to use and record vocals over, and in doing so I make sure to leave about 4 db of headroom for the vocal artist. Should I be exporting my beats so that its set to 0db max instead of -4db .. or is this not an issue?
Honestly, if I can go back in time and learn a synth inside out, I wouldn't even bother buying any sound design library. But I have to accept the fact that I am not an expert sound engineer and I tried for hours to come up with a whoosh or a drone in a synth but I failed enormously. That's why I automatically lean towards buying ready-made hybrid libraries and tweak them to generate new sounds off them or just use couple of presets that I like as they are.
So if you send then a beat and they only use the drum n bass of the beat them the term for that beat ends would you then be able to shop that beat out again to other libraries seeing as drum n bass don't always make up the identity of an instrumental
Great information again Jesse! Thx! I have a question about alternative versions of your tracks. Let’s say you make five or more versions for submission to libraries, music supervisors, ect., do you have to register all of them with your P.R.O. in order to get royalties in case of placement?
Sync My Music Got it! Thx for responding and answering my question. I’m gonna check out that Serum synth you mentioned as well! Sounds like mastering your track for film and tv is different than for iTunes, Spotify, downloads, ect.
Yeah , I saw that video you made about structuring the tracks for placement. Great info about making the track interesting every four to eight bars. Changed my writing for sure when you’re used to writing whole songs😊😎

Thanks so much you saved my account!
@Layton Abel No problem xD

Great Video! I've recently started looking into sync as a side hustle, this channel is helping me out immensly!
Glad to hear it and welcome!

I just got my first pro master back for a trailer track I did...and it's incredible! So many gems here. Let's go!
The fact that u brought up the path of least resistance and the fact that I’m reading that book currently , scares me
Attraction...

Thanks for your kind words Tony!
Tony Mondragón awe shucks
thanks Jesse definitely worth subscribing
Great tips, cheers.

If you're submitting instrumental tracks to Libraries you should master them at full volume.
Great tips. Thank you guys.

Great session guys!
Thanks for the info!! 🔥🔥🔥
You got it.
I have Serum.....it's ALL THAT!!! Like he said....if you don't have it, highly recommend you get it.
Great video thanks!
Does he provide mastering for clients?

It doesn't matter what version of your track gets placed. If it's in an exclusive library, you CANNOT re-release that track in ANY form anywhere else.

Great question! The Library that accepts your track will usually register each of those alt-mixes as separate tracks with the PROs.

@@arthurllongjr382 Indeed. And also in how you produce and construct your track BEFORE the mixing & mastering phase.

Rather being lazy, I would say that we seek efficiency. Don’t work harder, work smarter.
What does the hoodie say please?
"I don't just make beats. I Sync My Music"
@@SyncMyMusic I thought so! Thanks :)
Where is Trevors course located in the SYNC Academy I cannot find it!!!
He teaches the main EDM Course - look for his Mixing/Mastering video in that series.
Are you talking about making sounds or writing music? I can write a lot of junk but how is that writing good music? A bit confused.
He is talking about making sounds to write your music :) Depending on the genre, these often go hand in hand.
lol, a mix done in an hour, probably not that great of a mix
I'm not trying to win any mixing awards. It just needs to be good enough to be licensable for TV shows.
