Does Stanford not have any pitching that can give Canady a break? They're gunna use her every game and it probably wont workout in the end.

They have pitching but their other pitchers are horrible canady is one of the main reasons Stanford is even at the wcws
McAllister is so overeager to be relevant that she just uses her players it seems. Canady is a very good pitcher but she’s getting weary.
At least she'll have saturday to rest
They have other pitchers but they aren’t great/less experienced. That’s why Stanford can’t make it too far because other teams like OU/Texas have 0-5 different pitchers.

That's the key it seems.
OSU is mostly freshman and sophomores while Stanford is predominantly seniors. Big difference in WCWS.

I dont know anything about pitching but if there is one thing i do remember is Jordy Bahl, former Sooner. When she was pitching, she was fine and still roaring to go. Canady that doesnt seem to be the case, probably she's having to play a 2nd game the same day and not getting any rest. If anyone can provide insight or knows more please add to this, would love to know- seeing a lot of talk in the comments about Stanford's pitcher potentially on the ropes in the future if it keeps up with her not getting a chance to have break.

Stanford made less mistakes and had solid fielding throughout the game.
That obstruction call at home geez tough. The throw was miles ahead of the runner so would she have been safe? I doubt it. Thanks Matt
I want to know what happens if the review says no obstruction, because there is a chance she is safe anyways. Call on the field is still safe so a review would have to have evidence to overturn. Tag is late while foot is close to the base, but probably no video shows how close.
You can not block the plate, if you do not have the ball.
If the catcher had not dropped the ball, it would have been an out.
The bobble was the difference. If catcher had secured the ball cleanly, there might have been enough to overturn the call
Can the runner slide with cleats up ?? IF so, obstruction would not be an issue.
Tough loss. Really thought the Cowgirls could handle Stanford no problem but Canaday was just too tough. And Stanford bats just rocked the Pokes pitchers.

The Stanford bats stepped up, but the coaches still burned up Canady. Canady should have been sub'd in when the score reached 5 or 6 to zip. Rarely can the team win it all using just one primary pitcher starting at the Regionals. Therefore, the coach has doomed the team.
Honestly, I think those days are gone when one good pitcher was enough. Batters are better, more powerful and more highly trained and coached. In response, much more control and speed is demanded, therefore more arm, shoulder, and wrist stress in twisting, is required. In today's game any pitcher throwing in the 50s - low 60s would - and will - get smacked out of the park. A pitcher must throw in the mid-60s just to be respected. At her best, Canady throws between 68-72.
The wiser coaches are using at least an opener and a closer. Sometimes, if the situation is so critical, the coach may use a middle reliever, too. However, looking at the future: As soon as Canady weakens, Stanford is done. The bats made it pass this one, but for the next one: If Canady is minimal, and the bats are kept quiet, that's it for Stanford.
