Ms. Cherie Gil is such an icon. She has a huge part why Ms. Sharon is the Megastar.
She's holding her emotions 😢. I saw her last month here in the US and her voice was spectacular.
I saw her in New York City in 2014 or 2015 (more likely) at the Philippine Independence Day celebration, and I also thought her voice was spectacular. It was every bit as good as in her younger years in the 80s. She has taken care of her voice and, as well, has been blessed with the capacity to retain it.

One of my all-time favorites. I never get tired watching Bituin Walang Ningning, I think I watched it a hundred times. I even had a chance to follow and read it from the start til it ended from Aliwan Komiks (or Pilipino Komiks), can't remember which one 😁) during the 80s before they made it to the big screen.
