    I got 2965 for the f*x total using excel and my calculator, this makes the mean different. I really want to thank you for the demonstration.

    so you don't retain the negative value in squaring?

      That's correct, Nathalie. The rules are multiplying like signs give positive values and unlike signs give negative values. For example:
      (+)(+) = (+)
      (+)(-) = (-)
      (-)(+) = (-)
      (-)(-) =(+)

    as a note: in the caclation for (x-\overline{x}) there is typing mistake for 87.5 it is the correct entry is 36.2

      Hi Rotfuchs. Yes, you are correct. My calculator keys are a bit stiff and sometimes they don't register when pressed. Or I pressed the 5 instead of the 8. Good spot. Regards. Jonathan

    Your computations are incorrect, it made me review the videos repeatedly just to spot the errors. Waste of time
