I love how this band combines so many different metal genres, they have a lot of metalcore and post hardcore influence, but have deathcore-esque breakdowns, along with the symphonic/synth ambiance. I love it.

I'm just gonna put this out there for all the people that complain about the cleans: #1, this band is writing what they want to write, if you don't like it, don't listen. #2, Even if persay, they did want to drop cleans, Victor (the clean vocalist) is an original member. If the band kicked him out for the general opinion, I'd no longer want to listen to them, cause in a way that's selling out. They shouldn't have to kick one of their founding members because a few people don't like the cleans. You can't please everyone.

I hate how the vocals are so much more digitally lowered and distorted just to have a brutal sound than they were with Eddie Czaicki. When their original singer growled, he barely needed special effects.
None of Aaron's vocals are pitch shifted on Breathe In Life nor did I have to use any saturation / grit on his vocals... Aaron's voice records so well (Lucas did a GREAT job tracking the record) so you're just hearing careful compression and EQ in different stages, but mostly, a metric ton of volume automation for almost every element in the mix, haha.
Hazy Dave I think it'sd about breaking up even though you put everything you had in and now that person won't accomplish anything they told you they would never do in beginning.
Song is good but isn't the new vocalist from the U.K.? Did he write those lyrics? If so...man...that's rough. A 10 year old could write those lyrics. He's not a native French speaker, so you can't use that excuse.

The song is about drugs. He is saying that when someone starts drugs they do it to take the pain away but in actuality it is bringing pain. Then he begins to realize that it is doing harm and destroying their world/relationships/ect. They finally break the curse and are free from drugs. And life is better.
