Your Mother Called Prajnaparamita with Jen Sparks Yeshe Tsogyal - 02/11/2024

Freud was right. There is no other woman in your life except for your mother. The Great Mother, that is. Yet as important as she is, few of us really see her. As a result, something about ourselves, too, remains a mystery.
On Sunday, February 11, Jen Sparks gave a talk about Prajnaparamita and how we can come to know her a little more through the three bodies of enlightenment. As we kick off celebrating Losar, the Tibetan New Year, with offerings of food, prayers and gratitude for all the elements that feed, clothe and protect us, it only seems fitting to honor our sacred old mother.
Lion's Roar Dharma Center at Do Nga Dargey Temple in Sacramento, California, is a Tibetan Buddhist Temple within the Gelugpa Lineage. Lama Yeshe Jinpa is the spiritual director and resident teacher of Lion’s Roar Dharma Center, which he co-founded with Geshe Losang Gyatso in 1992. In 1995, Lama Jinpa received direct heart/mind transmission from Geshe Gyatso after 25 years of Dharma practice and study. He is one of the few western lamas thus far recognized within the Gelugpa lineage of Tibetan or Vajrayana Buddhism, the lineage of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
