Nice...I'm in the market for a 2019-2020 Accord, the same red in this video, just trying to decide between the Sport 1.5 or the EX L. For the 23 k I paid it seems a deal.

I bought a 2019 1.5ltr Sport model when it came out. I absolutely love the car, with two exceptions; #1- Honda needs to add some sound insulation; I've been on rougher road surfaces while talking on the phone hands free, and people have asked me if I have the windows down-- yeah, loud. #2- The CVT- not lovin' it, however, it is smooth and unobtrusive, but I'd much rather see even a 6spd auto. That being said, there is SO much value in this car; it's an absolute joy to drive, there's tons of room, the steering and handling is superb, and gas mileage is fantastic for such a 'large' car (+/- 27 mpg City -- 36-37 mpg Hwy. Keep up the good work, Honda, but please, at least give us a 'sound insulation' package!
4:15 it's not just for looks. If you look underneath, there's a ton of drip from DI on pipes. Detaching is what prevents goo from being visible. Pretty good attention to detail.
The only way to go with 1.5T is to get it with the manual transmission. Otherwise the 2.0T is a must with the 10AT or 6MT. Getting the CVT is absolutely abysmal.

Yes, I remember back in 2000 an Accord EX-L V6 was around $25k. Now the EX-L 2.0T is around 29k but you get so much more for your can. Adjusted for inflation we consumers are making out like bandits !
Joe, you & I don't always agree, although we are in accord with this model... it is value priced. Of course, as you know, the Sport is simply a base model with better wheels/tires and badging.... to get the sunroof, turn signals on the mirrors, heated mirrors, nicer interior, etc., one must step-up to the EX or EX-L. I purchased a new Accord Sport in 2015, one year later traded for a new 2016 EX-L V6; the difference between those two vehicles is quite noticeable... I love the '16 with the V6. The dealership tried to get me to trade my '16 for a '19, but I did not want to give up the V6 and, in my opinion, the tail of the '19 Accord looks too much like a Civic. Perhaps my next car will be the new Acura Type-S (2020??) which is suppose to feature a V6 turbo; looking forward to seeing your review of the new Acura S when it becomes available. Thanks
I have this same car in lunar silver with the 1.5t cvt. Really great car, I've added a piggy back tuner and intake, its pushing out another 3.5 pounds of boost over stock. Pretty close to that 2.0

Yes the difference in $$$ isn't that much. You only live once why settle on something good when you can spend a couple of grand more and get something that is truly outstanding. You did well my friend.
@joel Rodriguez But the accord is a 4cylinder just has a turbo and the 4 cylinder Camry makes about the same power with out the turbo just has a bigger 4 cylinder engine 🤦♂️
I have a 2019 sport Honda manual transmission, I love it, wish he would have been in a manual Accord 2019, mine is white, bought the only manual on the lot!
Joe, great channel! Zonk it bro! Just Zonk it! Seriously though - can you get some local Tampa sponsors? Like a local coffee spot to test out the cup holder.
I got mine used with 4800 miles for $21K. I'm so glad I didn't go for a brand new 2020. The things that I miss from my previous car(2014 Camry SE) is the ignition keys, brake lever, CD player, and clearer rear camera. My assessment: Pros: Bigger side mirrors, analog buttons on the display screen, great sight lines. Cons: Rear passenger floor has elevated ground, unlike my old Camry. The steering wheel requires a little muscle to steer. Other than that, after driving for a week, I feel like I'm driving my old Camry.
I dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know of a way to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost my password. I love any tricks you can offer me!
Heard there was a huge demand on using new Accord rims as bate in easy places for crosshairs! I wouldn’t wanna be that person! Nationwide. Apply now! Lol
Test drove the 2.0 turbo. Compared to the Mazda6, the accord was more fun. I think it had something to do with the more grippy tires, whereas the 6 has eco suv tires. The other thing i liked about the accord was it had more leg room in back than the 6. My current car is a Mazda3 hatchback. Since my girlfriend has the SUV, I am looking at getting a bigger car, the accord is one I am looking at.
Same here. I drove the Mazda6 with and without the turbo. Frankly I don't really think the turbo really enhances the car all that much. It feels quicker but doesn't feel quick enough. The Accord with the 2.0T is a beast. I have never driven something this large that moves this quickly. You probably have to go to a 50k plus German import to get that kind of performance. The Mazda6 (in the Signature trim I drove) feels a little quieter at idle, as I felt some engine vibration at idle in a Accord that i didn't feel in the Mazda6. But when you put your foot down the Accord is much quieter.
Hi raitisrides, ive watched all your brz and 86 videos. Still stuck between the two. Hopefully you can make a video comparing the two side by side (2019)
In your opinion would you rather get the Accord sport or the Accord hybrid? They are similar in price but the hybrid has more power and better MPG. But in the sport, you get nicer wheels, leather wrapped steering wheel, Apple CarPlay, and adjustable seats. I’m having a hard time decide!!
Hi Travis! Personally I would go with the Sport because of the way that it drives. Yes getting better fuel economy is great but for me I like to have an engaging time while I am driving and you get more of that with the Sport!
Ratti! I test drove this exact model today and torn between this and a Honda Civic coupe that was fully loaded! I’m sure I’d love the accord 2.0 the best but they didn’t have one at the dealership.
I think the 1.5 Sport is the least valued trim. I’d go with the 1.5 EX or, what I chose, the 2.0 Sport. Both the EX and 2.0 Sport come with a lot more equipment. Blind Spot monitor, remote start, sunroof, A/C vents for the rear seats, and satellite radio among others. For the difference in price from the 1.5 Sport the engine alone is worth the money, let alone all those other features. If you can’t afford it, get the 1.5 EX, throw some rims on if you want, and you get all the stuff I mentioned above that’s on the 2.0 Sport.
Wow, really? That’s why I was opting for the ‘19 over the ‘18. I wanted to avoid the bugs and issues that usually follow a design change. Oh well, the search continues. Definitely want no parts of the oil dilution issue.
The Rear is Ugly. Everything else is fine. But I think the Camry XSE looks better outside. I would put the interior of this Accord on the Camry XSE BODY
If I were to buy a new vehicle I would get a Toyota or a Honda cause I would want to be stranded on the side of the road within 10 years of owning a new car. (Aka Chrysler and GM products)

I loved when he said, “these guys here, ch ch ch ch,” when he got to the tail lights, lol!!! I was dead 💀!! Great review, though.
Thanks for letting me share the laughs with you!
Raiti's Rides appreciate it, Joe. Thanks for these accurate reviews.
Drove both the 1.5 and 2.0.. decided on the 2.0. Worth the extra money.
Congrats! You did well!
Great choice man. I traded my 2016 sport in for 2019 2.0T sport as well... Love driving it very day. 😁
Yes the difference in $$$ isn't that much. You only live once why settle on something good when you can spend a couple of grand more and get something that is truly outstanding. You did well my friend.
@@orientaldagger6920 Live well and drive hard 😁
For the price this is the best car , a friend of my buy a Camry 4 cil 38,000 when he said that , I say you’re freaking crazy
That’s how much I paid for my Tesla Model 3 😂
@joel Rodriguez But the accord is a 4cylinder just has a turbo and the 4 cylinder Camry makes about the same power with out the turbo just has a bigger 4 cylinder engine 🤦♂️
@@lilianacamacho7051 but Accord 1.5t isn't about speed. It's about comfortable ride. The 2.0t is faster than the Camry v6.
I usually don’t like the black on black interior doors but because it’s a Honda I like it. 😂😂
I am. glad that I could share it with you!
The biggest flaw with this 🚗💨 is that CVT transmission if you like to haul ass. If you're just a cruiser it's a perfect 🚗💨
I dreamed of the day you reviewed the Accord in the San Marino Red color ! 😍😍😂😂
I am glad that I could make it happen for you Dante!
I have a 2019 sport Honda manual transmission, I love it, wish he would have been in a manual Accord 2019, mine is white, bought the only manual on the lot!
You have a keeper for sure Patricia
Hey great video. I am considering getting this car (but year 2021). Can you tell me if this car still has the engine oil dilution problem?
Such a great review. Really dig your work
I appreciate you letting me share it with you!
Rims, Color, Front Fascia are a definite go for me. everything else is meh. But as always Joe and the Raiti's ride family, i enjoyed the video!
Thanks for letting me share another one with you!
Joe, great channel! Zonk it bro! Just Zonk it! Seriously though - can you get some local Tampa sponsors? Like a local coffee spot to test out the cup holder.
That would be a great idea! Thank you for your awesome support!
Just brought a white 2021 Accord Sport Special Edition for my commuter and love it.
Congrats1
How much
I got mine used with 4800 miles for $21K. I'm so glad I didn't go for a brand new 2020.
The things that I miss from my previous car(2014 Camry SE) is the ignition keys, brake lever, CD player, and clearer rear camera.
My assessment:
Pros:
Bigger side mirrors, analog buttons on the display screen, great sight lines.
Cons:
Rear passenger floor has elevated ground, unlike my old Camry. The steering wheel requires a little muscle to steer.
Other than that, after driving for a week, I feel like I'm driving my old Camry.
Hi Joe. Great channel. You’re going to be big time! What do you currently drive as your daily driver?
Thanks for saying that! I have a Subaru WRX STI Type RA.
Reminder, the seats are "vinyl" and cloth, not leather. No worries though, I have the 2018 sport (1.5t) and love it!
I dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know of a way to log back into an instagram account?
I was stupid lost my password. I love any tricks you can offer me!
@Eden Jaxon instablaster :)
No blown headgasket or injector issues??
Heard there was a huge demand on using new Accord rims as bate in easy places for crosshairs! I wouldn’t wanna be that person! Nationwide. Apply now! Lol
You crack me up!
That is a great idea! I would go BRZ.
Love the new Accord 😍
I am so glad that I could share it with you!
Nice review, just a small correction tho, its 29/35 not 24/35. Thanks for the informative review man !
Thanks for the extra info!
Joe can you PLEASE do a review of the fully loaded Honda Accord Touring 2.0 in the Platinum White color pretty please 😩😅
I will put that together for you Dante!
Raiti's Rides thank you😃
Of course my friend!
Ratti! I test drove this exact model today and torn between this and a Honda Civic coupe that was fully loaded! I’m sure I’d love the accord 2.0 the best but they didn’t have one at the dealership.
I have one in Still Night Blue Pearl. My fifth Accord and the best one yet.
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
picked up the accord sonic gray 1.5t sport today and I love it
I think the 1.5 Sport is the least valued trim.
J D -none of the audio is that great, unfortunately. That’s the Accords weak spot for sure.
I really appreciate you sharing your input and perspective! Thank you for watching!
@@jd3980 Thanks for your input!

Just got mine a few days ago and love it.
Congrats!

I can't decide between this and a 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia. I keep going back between your videos 😂
Accord ez
Joe please review the 2.0T with the 10 speed auto! If you havent already im not sure, i think you would enjoy that one!
Thanks for the suggestion! You are so very right, because I filmed a blue one.
Oil dilution in the 1.5 Turbo has not been fixed, people should be made aware of this.
Wow, really? That’s why I was opting for the ‘19 over the ‘18. I wanted to avoid the bugs and issues that usually follow a design change. Oh well, the search continues. Definitely want no parts of the oil dilution issue.
Is the Civic in the background the one you uploaded on Saturday?
Yes it is! Good eyes!
The Rear is Ugly.
Everything else is fine.
But I think the Camry XSE looks better outside.
I would put the interior of this Accord on the Camry XSE BODY
Denis Reyes Camry exterior grown on me I still dont like their cheap looking front grill area but everything else is great
Actually the rear is quite nice..... but the fake dual exhaust really sucks!!!
Thanks for your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
@@henryhonda8408 It's real dual exhaust. Fake exaust tips
Yes I used the wrong wording.... thanks for the correct wording.
I can't wait to get my accord sport
You will love it!
If I were to buy a new vehicle I would get a Toyota or a Honda cause I would want to be stranded on the side of the road within 10 years of owning a new car. (Aka Chrysler and GM products)
Might wanna Google Honda oil dilution
Thanks for your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
@@The1stMoRice Might wanna Google Toyota transmission problems.
Ryan Littleton ok. I did. Didn’t really see anything that stood out. Not like Honda’s oil dilution problem. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@The1stMoRice check carcomplaints. Even ol Scotty did a video about it.

I have a 19 accord sport 1.5T in white. Great car. Should've added parking sensors
I like how he says..let’s fire this up and see what it sounds like haha
Almost silent.
I like it. Looks like a nice commuter car
Both are beautiful, but If you wanna do Lyft or uber, I think the Camrys more ideal. Look at the cabs, they're mostly camrys
Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
41mpg on freeway at 70M/h with 3 adult total 580 lbs.
Thanks for that great info.
My 2018 Accord sport 1.5t recently had a carbon build up issue. It has 20k miles. Regular oil changes at Honda. They had to replace the fuel injectors and do a full clean. Has anyone experienced this with the 1.5t?
Whats the difference between the 2018, 2019 & 2020 Honda Accord Sport 1.5t?

today 4/16/2020 I bought this exact same car with 10k miles. 2019.....$24k any feedback on the price
I’ve got my eye on this car with 2k miles for $19k.
Why is everyone hating on the 1.5 CVT lol 😂 I have a 2018 with a little over 30k miles Nd it still runs great. My car is always up to date with maintenance especially the oil. Honda recommends once a year but I do it every 5 thousand since it’s CVT.
Thanks for sharing your great ownership experience on your Accord.
Does this car still have oil dilution problems????
Obviously, this is another indisputable quality and value product from Honda. Folks, you just can’t go wrong with this vehicle...especially with Honda reliability! It’s 99.5% family sedan IMHO!!!
AGREED!
Raiti's Rides , this or the Camry SE, if you had to pick one? Thanks in advance.
This Accord
