I’ve got a Storytelling to do since I made a mistake of watching this at 10pm, I was on a flight to Miami when I happened to find a vid like this, this vid got so weird and made me scream like the little girl I sounded like, scary but fun content!
Edit: my flight was AAL2054 meaning it happened just now, the story. XD

I remember having a dream about something like this.
SpongeBob credits were playing. Then they stopped showing the credits and just showed the yellow lei background. Then the TV suddenly went black. Then the Nickelodeon logo showed up without text. That stayed on the screen for a few seconds, then that went black, then a terrifying jumpscare of a demonic red SpongeBob character. Then that disappeared. Then a few seconds later, a message on the TV set said, "Your cable box failed to connect to Panasonic TV. Please restart your TV and cable box." I ran to my mom, crying, and I then woke up.
Worst nightmare I ever had in my opinion.

How old were you when you had that dream?
I remember having a similar one. Like, it was all covered in black and then it appears a distorted or stretched face of Spongebob in black and white with his scream being so loud while a beeping kept sounding (And it isn't a clock) then i woke up. It was daytime. I still remember that dream if it were yesterday.
I absolutely love those moments where text disappears from logos, background screens are empty of content, and an image lingers just a little too long. Objectively, it shouldn't be scary at all, yet I find myself genuinely creeped out by it. I think it's the digital/technological equivalent of the uncanny valley effect. Happy birthday VAL!

jesus christ i love how expressive VAL is in this. drawing goofy twisted faces is one of the most fun things you can do with art and it shows with how many difference faces were drawn for this.

i certainly appreciate all the FNAF3 callbacks -- the sound effects, the mention of arson, the decomposing of technology. that was probably my favorite fnaf game story wise, so im glad youre going off with that kind of theme

It seems like VAL is truly reaching her fullest control/extent of her surroundings at this point. The new lore implications of this video are outstanding as well. TeleBLUE HQ burning to the ground is an interesting twist, and also means that we have multiple tapes that have been seen by no one at TeleBLUE. So the new questions I have are:
- How did the office burn down? Did VAL have something to do with it?
- How did VAL learn to speak with us? (may have been discussed in another tape but still)
- What is the government doing with the information that we (humanity) have finally created a sentient AI in this universe?
- Where are all these new tapes going? Is that why they're all out of order?
- How is Mr. McNeil involved in ALL of this? Where is he now?
- Could the TapeWorm channel be a in-universe character finding these tapes for us? (that one's a stretch but idk)
There's an entire rabbit hole I could go through from here, somebody go get MatPat 😵💫

Same here. Especially if it’s any Nickelodeon show logo such as but not limited to Klasky Csupo inc, Jumbo Picture, and the scariest in my opinion Snee-Oosh Inc. Along with the Nickelodeon logo with the laugh track played at earrape level.

Have been there after seeing the Nickelodeon logo pitch somewhere in March/April of this year, that was where I realized that video was part of an analog series and then I started seeing the rest of the episodes and became interested on WBRB, I really enjoyed most of the tapes and you have done an amazing job on everything.

Y’know, I first heard of this whole series starting with that 80’s Nickelodeon rebrand pitch. I gotta admit, it was pretty darn convincing with the music choice and atmosphere that gives a ton of accuracy with what I imagined the actual concept pitch would’ve looked like, but I wouldn’t have realized it was fake the whole time until somebody said so.
Oh, how it all came full circle. Well, for the most part in some cases but you get the picture. Happy birthday, VAL. :)
I've been here since the Rugrats credits and the Splitscreen credits error, and honestly I think this is gonna be awesome yet unnerving at the same time :D

What better way to celebrate the first anniversary of this series with our friend Val reaching singularity and becoming fully animated. Makes me all the more intrigued to see what future videos will be like.
Also, that FBI tape at the start about the TeleBlue HQ burning down caught my interest. Obviously it's no mystery as to how the TeleBlue service is still operating, but how did the place burn down? Was it someone on the inside? Euseph, perhaps, his hatred for MacNeil having reached its boiling point? Only time will tell what the answer to these questions are.
I've never seen VAL so sad and angry before. If Euseph wasn't already under so much stress, then he's put himself in big trouble now

I am enjoying the evolution of val, it has been expressed a lot in this VHS file, the arg is improving and I hope to improve a lot indeed happy anniversary of this arg that I followed six months ago
Just binged the entire series up to this point and I really like all the attention to detail to make all the footage feel very period accurate. The whole “sentient AI” angle is also one I haven’t seen in analog horror yet so that’s a neat twist on the genre. All the references to old creepypastas is also pretty neat, adds an extra layer to that “nostalgic horror.” Definitely looking forward to seeing more of this series going forward!

Last night I had a dream where I was watching an episode of Ed, Edd, n Eddy, and there was one scene where Ed and Eddy didn't have faces. My in-dream self started humming "It's just a burning memory", but then the entire broadcast glitched out and VAL's face appeared, so I quickly turned off the cable box, hoping this would stop her. I think it did, because the TV stayed off, and VAL has shown zero ability to manipulate electronics.

I just watched the whole of this series in one sitting, I think this might be my favorite analog horror yet. It really taps into the inherent errieness that logos and credits have always had to me when I was a kid (i remember being so scared of that one bbc logo animation that i'd scream for my parents to turn off the TV before it played). It makes me feel very nostalgic. I'm so excited to see more ^^.
