Your reviews are one of the best on youtube. i wish you more followers in future👍 thx for it🙏
Thanks Ghostdog ! Thanks for your support and appreciations !
Oh yes indeed, this looks more like an odd rose trem than a floyd rose. A success model in need. 😄
Great review as always 👍
Thanks Yetimatze ! This floyd under Kramer licence looks strange but it works. For sure this axe deserves more success and I'm sure I'll demo some other Kramers in the future.
Really awesome solo!
Thanks !
Very awseome review, thank you for the effort, i have one question, I'm into extreme Metal genre, would this guitar do the job with the pickups, or should they be changed into SD or EMGs?
Thanks ! Those pickups are very good and accept tons of gain, they've got more headroom than EMGs so I don't think you need to replace them. But the cavity needs to be shielded.
Thank you so much for the answer
Appreciate it greatly, keep the amazing reviews
Nice video.
Which you suggest between this Kramer Assault 220 and the similar Harley Benton Sc Custom II FR?
Thanks ! I haven't played he SC Custom II FR, I don't know how good the tuning stability is. Now, you will have a thinner nut and a more vintage sound due to the Roswell LAF Pickups. The Kramer assault offers a wider nut and a 25.5" scale that's pretty uncommon on a single cut. The pickups are way more agressive and have a huge level of output. The tuning stability, as you wan see in the video, is pretty good. The D neck is super comfortable but I do regret the access to the 24th fret is uncomfortable. On the SC Custom, you've got a very good modern C neck and an excellent access to the upper frets. The FR is a 1000 so I guess it will be very good, so in both case you will have an excellent player. The Custom comes with a satin neck with a very smooth feel. I think none of these 2 is a bad choice, it depends upon what you want in terms of tone and if you are ok with 25'5" scale or not :)
@@ToroKchannel thank you!
I wonder if the neck was actually large or not. You mentioned it in the first impressions but the width was not among the specifications you have put on. In case you read this comment and answer it I would really appreciate if you share some ideas about large neck guitars. I am looking for a model with a larger neck then the classic Fender. Don't mean the acoustic necks but as large as it is available on electric guitars. Thanks in advance!
The nut and neck are pretty large indeed. The specs are coming from Kramer's website and they don't mention everything, sometimes, they're wrong. You've got 43mm width on the wood at the nut, but the nut that has been installed is a 42mm. As a result, you have something very comfortable to play if you've got big fingers. I don't think you will find anything larger than 43mm at the nut. You can find this on Solar, Ibanez or Epiphone. Fenders are 42, juste like ESP or Schecter.
Great,@@ToroKchannel Thanks a lot!
i love the demo track, i wonder if where i find it on UA-cam
Thanks ! The demo track alone is here : ua-cam.com/video/VygxK8Nf6xA/v-deo.html
I have similar one
Great guitar though
Hi! How thick is the body of the Kramer Assault? Is it thick like a Les Paul?
It's 40mm thick, so not as thick as a LesPaul. But it's 4kgs heavy, so high density wood.
Is the guitar really worth it sir, for gig
I could easily take it on stage eventhough mine is a bit heavy.
i'm looking forward to buy it what upgrades do you think it needs to be a perfect guitar?Write all the upgrades you think it needs i dont care about the cost @ToroK
For me the pickups are great so I would not change them. On mine, I will upgrade the FR for a Gotoh and add an EVH D-tuna. That's 213€ on retail for these upgrades and with this, it will be perfect for me :)
@@ToroKchannel so i shield it add string retainer and a new tremolo arm?
should
@@ToroKchannel any other upgrade or only these you reccomend
@@limpjackass you can keep the stock locking nut, it's ok. The trem arm is included with the Gotoh FR. Its true name is Gotoh GE1996T and you can find it here : www.thomann.de/fr/gotoh_ge1996t_36_b_fr_style_tremolo.htm?offid=1&affid=1780
would an original Floyd fit in it?
Yes it would, no problem !
@@ToroKchannel that is hot I am looking to buy a cheaper guitar just to mod it and this guitar is very unique with les Paul shape and 25.5 scale.
@@crate718 I've really been anazed with how good this guitar is. I didn't intend on keeping a new axe but I couldn't resist. It would be hard to find a better basis for a mod project at this price, especially with this 25.5 scale on a LesPaul body.
La compo déchire ! le son disto est bien fat
Merci ! :)
Hey ik id be asking of alot but would u be willing to give me one of your hatleybenton ex 84s as a young kid I’ve always been wanting one but just never had the funds of getting one even at their generous price and I feel I’m going to miss out because by the time I’m an adult and able to get a job I feel the guitars would be a thing of the past or changed
Ok, first things first, I don't have several EX 84. I've had one and I've sold it. Second, sorry but I would not give a guitar to someone I don't know and who writes a comment on my channel. I mean : I do pay for the guitars I possess, noone has ever been given to me for free. Third : you shouldn't worry about missing out those guitars. Some Harley Benton models have been here for over a decade and they keep selling it. In the worst case, you could find some on the used market very easily.
@@ToroKchannel I sure hope they don’t become obscure
yuck they should have put a stop bar tailpiece
There has been a Kramer assault with hadtail and tailpiece but it's discontinued.
Yeah, because there’s not enough of those already on the market 😵💫
@@dbrown6451 I agree !
Am I the only one that thought the clean sounded horrible
it looks like you are :) clean tones are not the main asset of this guitar for sure but I would not call them horrible. With a bit of reverb and delay, it would sound better.
