Sri Sri Ravi Shankar spiritual career led him to establish the Art of Living Foundation. He held the first Art of Living course in Switzerland on 1983. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is also the owner of a Geneva-based charity called the International Association for Human Values. It is an NGO which engages in relief work and helps in the development of rural areas.
