@@kevinbond8966 FSU was the undefeated ACC champion. FSU was snubbed due to QB injury. GEORGIA should have been so snubbed as well. Any more braindead explanation needed?
@@tarheel7406 Hahahahah, yeah I mean you could be purposely dishonest. Or you could be honest and admit that the SEC champion won't ever be left out of any playoff ever.
@@kevinbond8966 Which is an admission of unreasonable SEC bias, which puts its past playoff success in question. Apparently, Josh was oblivious to this admission.
@@tarheel7406 Unreasonable SEC bias? The SEC had very much a down year and was still EASILY the 2nd best conference in the country. That's not bias, that's called admitting what's right in front of your eyes. Honestly this year there was more of an anti SEC bias. The committee didn't have the guts to put in Bama over a SMU team that couldn't even win the lowly ACC.
9.5 for UGA-Oregon feels pretty high for a preseason pick. In the context of predicting the Natty, those were some of the safest picks. Would’ve thought 9.5 back then would’ve been predicting something like Michigan-Utah.
I mean, if I say I think the Dodgers are gonna win the World Series next year, do you really think that is that bold? Many considered UGA and Oregon heavy off-season favorites to make a run at the title. I get picking the 2 teams out of the ~10 contenders is a long shot, but a 9.5 rating here basically means there’s next to no shot it happens.
@@ej3zx you're still picking a specific matchup. There's 2 teams - that greatly reduces the chances youre right. Suppose UGA lost to Texas in the SEC 'ship. That might drop them to the 8-seed which means UGA cant face Oregon in the natty even if they were truly the 2 best teams bc theyre on the same side of the bracket. When you're predicting 2 teams together, it's more than just predicting the 2 teams you think will perform best in the playoffs, it also takes into consideration the success of the regular season of other playoff teams (in order to determine seeding) - something you don't have to worry about with just one pick. Oregon vs UGA may have been the most likely natty pick...but doesnt necessarily mean it actually is likely to happen
Agree to disagree I guess. Josh gave the same score to Arizona running the table when they were only 5th in odds to even win the conference and Fifita winning the heisman at +3000. If you think that’s the same level of boldness as saying the 1st and 3rd most likely teams to win the Natty make it to the championship, we’re just not gonna see eye to eye.

Can't wait to hear the excuses if ND wins the whole thing. They match up pretty good with Penn State and if they get Ohio St., their backyard style might just be enough to beat them. Especially if they win the turnover battle +2. Exciting times.
I know my predictions got scraped !! I think the fan base as a whole is in a state of shock , portal and NIL has changed the game people !! 😂 Good cut @joshpate
How do you know people are not trolling you? Here's a prediction, "Clemson goes undefeated in 2025's season and wins the Natty by 3 TDs." It's not outside the realm of possibility with Dabo and being 12th seeded this year, but I honestly don't believe it unless I'm trying to make Pate's reel. Then, maybe it's worth the troll prediction.

11/10 on the boldness scale
Infinity/10 on the boldness scale

~2:39 Why would GEORIGA have made a 4-team playoff this season based on the precedent set last season with the FSU snub?
Bc they're the SEC champion 🤣🤣🤣
Any more brain busters??

My missed prediction was that Kansas would make the playoff. Always fun to see these.

Michigan-Utah would have been a 10.
picking any specific natty matchup in the preseason is going to get a high boldness rating

@ no, that’s a bunch of skinny betas running around acting like a hard breath knocks them down.
Was Oklahoma really that bad or is the SEC just ass now as a whole? They at least beat Jalen Milroe and UGA couldn't do it across two years!
The SEC isn’t ass. It’s a very competitive conference with a lot of good teams but no elite teams.
We had an elite defense with a disfunctional offense. You're not going anywhere with that combo.
Bold prediction in retrospect: Alabama started the year with a loss to Michigan. They will end the year with a loss to Michigan. 😂
