coming here after scrapyard, one thing i didn’t notice but I love how the inverted colors become this fiery orange, the original color makes me think like dark forest with the house and its separated but now it’s like the whole world and house is burning down
@@teamseshboner honestly, I disagree. I think fractions of infinity is one of the weaker songs personally. This version is quite better for me. plus, the Sunday service choir doesn't make sense on this album. Danny did as he rapped from a different perspective, but those 40ish seconds were pointless at the end in the album.
@@8bitfrosted701 think it makes a whole lot of sense imo. it’s supposed to be about realizing that he’s in the situation he’s in and that’s that. he’s made his decision and there’s no point in fighting it anymore, hence “those words don’t do you justice.” the SSC might just be a short feature on the song, however i think it’s cool to look at it like they’re the static that’s mentioned a lot throughout this album. he’s pushed and ran away from it, not wanting to rest because he’s still attached to the life he once had. the SSC’s chant is like the static confirming his realization, that there’s nothing he could do or say that’ll change his situation. the best thing he could do is stop fighting it and find peace within the static.
The Fractions of Infinity demo finally got me to understand what a "fraction of infinity" actually means; it's zero. It literally means: nothing. He can spend eternity in this purgatory, but ultimately his effect is nothing, he builds towards nothing. Look at the demo through this lense and it makes perfect sense. He knows that it's all for nothing, but he can't bring himself to give up.
My wife got me the idmthy vinyl for my 24th bday and I didn’t know there was unreleased material on side D until I opened it. Such a cool thing to do for a physical release
some "as I'm listening" thoughts - damn dustcutter was pretty sick in concept, but i see where thematically it might slip - gone gone has a nice sound, but nowhere close to the rest of the of album - the knot is a cool aural visualizer for the sequence before or after knots - cynical glitch was definitely what was chosen over memories - SSC enhanced foi so much, though the additional verses are cool - new goodbye is pretty, the opposite of cassini's almost
my timestamps 0:00 - cassinis divison (demo) 4:22 - songs to go home to (picking up hands demo) 7:11 - springsummerfall 8:25 - dustcutter 11:04 - gone gone 12:54 - knots (interlude) 14:39 - the memories we lost in translation (demo) 15:50 - fractions of infinity (demo)
@@jboneX8 i have listened to the snippet so many times that i would've killed for this to be on the album, even if the final version has an incredible sound palette, a nice spoken word passage that ties the record nicely and the impeccable thor harris drums.
i got the vinyl a couple weeks ago and listened to the D side and then wondered why Dustcutter sounded so familiar when i listened to it a couple days ago LMFAO
seeing the light was giving some tame impala lonerism vibes. the sample of him crying and the flangers and such, then i notice the second song name. music to walk home by is one of my favorite songs off lonerism and the second song here is songs to go home to. probably a coincidence,
@mang2136 they gave me 7 days then removed it, and reapplied one that instantly gave me a strike I would delete the video soon if you haven't gotten a permanent strike yet.

cool way to interpret it
Like in house settling where quadeca burns down his mother's house with carbon monoxide. Cool little detail
Incredible how much effort was put into this fractions of infinity version just for it to be completely changed for the album
It supper cool to hear the song structured in a diffident way
it’s okay. think we can all agree that we’d rather have the “THOSE WORDS DON’T DO YOU JUSTICE” version though.

The version we got is one of his best songs ever so I’m glad
omg quadeca fans be EATING this week
We straight up chuggin

the demo for fractions of infinity is really cool, it sounds a lot darker than the original which is interesting
love hearing the contrasting structure and vibes of the demo to the release one, so cool
maybe im high but imo it sounds way happier
yeah the original is a lot more grand and ethereal, but this one sounds more grounded which i like :)

idmthy was the first album and still is the only album to ever make me cry, THIS FOR SURE wouldve made me cry
Same
so glad he turned "the knot" into "knots", in my opinion it's the song with the most creative production off the project

i listened to it for the first time on the actual vinyl so it came right after cassini's division, it fit pretty well
imo it sounds like it could replace the static at the end of Cassini's division.
Crazy how Dustcutter just came out yesterday im assuming these will all be posted soon
Dustcutter was the only one posted on quadecas account but there is an artist called reno who uploaded all of quadecas vinyl songs + scrapped songs
this fractions of infinity has some cool ideas but I think the one on the album is more impactful
i heard songs to go home to live and that was the first time i heard it, its crazy how different the vibe is when i hear the actual song
i feel like the live version gives it a personal folk feel, which really benefits the songs vibe. i think
Seeing the light is gorgeous
dustcutter was an insanee experience bro
thanks for the quality upload
also available on SoundCloud in a less compressed format
gone gone was one of my favorite leaks and when i played the side d of the vinyl i was so happy it was there
fractions of infinity is my favorite song off the album but this version is also incredible to hear, its so good
gone gone was way too good to not be put out anywhere, glad it's out, even if it's a fucking vinyl D side

I jus got my vinyl delivered today and my turntable broke... Thanks for this upload
unlucky bro, get that shit fixed and listen to it for yourself when you can, still worth it to hear in your space.

Is this on the standard IDMTHY vinyl or is it a special release? IDK how vinyl works but i wanna get into it

@ketchuppoptart2315 yeah I think so but I think this comment was right before that came out 😭 thanks though

dont keep it sealed! the plastic will shrink over time and possibly warp the vinyl
