- The layout container is useful when you want to build a custom display containing multiple charts as a single unit. Unlike the container, which uses tabs to cycle through charts, the layout container is a space where you are free to customize your own layout of the charts in the layout container. As the layout container offers sheet-like arrangement of visualizations, you can functionally store multiple sheets within a sheet that can be expanded for more detail.

Going home to Qlikview 😊 Reveals my age and my time with Qlik! Thanks, Mike. Awesome presentation as always...
Thanks - likewise lol
Very cool, users often ask for objects that slightly overlay or infringe each other, now it can be done elegantly.
Yes indeedy!
Amazing feature!
Just awesome!
I image a huge update in the future, where the layout container will be the sheet itself.
Waiting for a longgg time to present the dashboard better, way to it. Thanks @mike
Yes 🎉🎉 awesome
Amazing❤🎉🎉
I love this, it makes the layout much more versatile. Is there a release date for Enterprise?
Most likely Feb 2024
Very good
Just came in my mind as I saw the "reorder" function. I assume you use the z-index css property for that. Could that value directly editable via an input field which can also be a formula?
This is awesome! Is this available in the on prem version? We're not cloud based...yet...
How does this interact with a mobile display. I can imagine some issues overlaying a KPI on a Line Chart when visualizing on a desktop vs. say a phone.
Hey Mark - you are correct - something like this is not meant for mobile. When it comes to mobile app design - many charts and KPIs look fine and work well with the mobile app - we even have layout settings in the app / sheets to support mobile specific design and interaction. Something like the layout container being used in an app is not something that should be used when considering apps designed for mobile. - Hope this helps.
Mike - Is there a reason Qlik is not making this default behaviour and introducing this as a container visual? Its well known this is a much demanded feature that can unlock really beautiful layouts and styling elements and is a bit of a drawback compared to the Tableau/PBIs of the world.
I believe they are incrementally adding features to get them out sooner - but eventually work them into the fill product at later dates. I have seen this a few times with other visual objects and design elements.
Everything is fine but why Layout Container don't work in Trellis Container?
Hello - product management is aware - and are looking into this. Thanks for your question.
Can you conditionally show/hide objects?
Yes You can
