This bike was practically brand new when it was damaged. It was a 2019 model and was dented when it had less than 10 miles on it. The customer was extremely upset about the damage but what made matters worse was that he was told by his local Harley dealer that the metal on tanks was too thick for paintless dent repair.
The tank was shipped to our facility here in Griffin Ga where the repairs were completed in 3-5 business days. We shipped it back to Ohio and the customer was blown away when he got it back. He even showed it to the Harley dealer and they were amazed as well....I think we made believers out of them.

They are telling me the same thing Harley. I have a nice dent on my softail slim 2020 “liner for tank is to thick can get flakes in fuel system” those are there words lol. To bad you guys aren’t in NY

Frank Carlo it varies based on size, depth, location, and style tank but the one in this video was around $300 I believe.

I layed my bike down yesterday :( rookie move which makes it worse I have a nice dent in my tank I have a slump as well so I guess there’s no tricks to pop it out your self huh?
Frank Carlo in short, not really. You’ll find DIY videos on YT but I haven’t seen anyone successfully fix a dented tank 100% with any other method than traditional PDR.

Where can i get a basic dent pulling kit that will work on sportster tanks?
I feel this guys pain. Brings home his brand new bike and dings the tank the first week. That'll ruin your week for sure. Why would the Harley dealer claim the steel is too thick to get the dent out? It wasn't too thick to get dented in the first place.
There are not that many people out there doing these types of repairs so a lot of the dealers are just misinformed or haven’t seen it done yet.

It varies depending on the tank and damage but this one was between $350-400 I believe

Usually a tank repair starts at $250-300 but there’s a lot of variables that determine a price so I usually just have people email photos with the yr, make, and model

A dent that size on a Harley would fall in the $350 to $500 range depending on depth and location. We typically ask for photos and with that can come to a fairly accurate estimate.

No we don’t do any painting, everything is paintless. If it’s scraped then a paint shop is what you need 👍

What if the dent is on the right side?
On this particular model you would only have access through the fuel opening into the right-hand side so a dent is still fixable but you have a little bit more limited mobility on the newer softail models
