Hi Gabrielle, I am sooo glad to hear you're feeling better, and that the fog is lifting! 🥰 Art has no rules, so if doing the neurographic art your way gives you joy and relaxation, then it's the right way for you! The amount of salt you use, must be the secret to why you get such unique and different marks! 🤩 I think I've been using too much salt, or pieces of salt too close together! I love the combination of paints you used this week, and I really LOVE your painting! 😍 Of course I think the iridescent painting is gorgeous; it's the perfect accent! I imagine making all of the little dots took you a long time! 😳 I'll bet you're really glad you have that pen! 😉 There's nothing more satisfying than removing the tape! Thank you for the inspiration to create! I hope to watch your most recent video tomorrow! Again, I'm so glad you're feeling better! Hugs my friend ♥️🤗
Hi Lori!!! 🤗❤️ It's always so lovely to hear from you! I apologize for the delay in replying - we went camping for 4 days and I had no cell phone reception where we were (I won't lie, it was glorious 🥰). It's really interesting about the salt, isn't it! So many factors can come into play! And that's why it's so important to experiment. ☺️ I thought of you last week - a friend sent me a video on iuile watercolors and it was such a wow!!! The brilliance and shine of these colors had me oooohing!! I have never used them but I am putting them on my wishlist and if the urge is still strong to play with them, I might just go ahead and make it a gift from me to me 😂 Have you ever heard of these watercolors? How are you doing? I hope all is well sweet friend 💕🤗 Sending lots of love and great big hugs your way 💨❤️🤗 Thank you for making the time to be here with me - it really means a lot xoxo

I love the way this painting turned out. Your version of neurographic art is wonderful and unique. So beautiful. As you added the gold dots I kept thinking about Australian Aboriginal art that incorporates so much dotting. In my opinion you could have done even more using a smaller dotting tool, but that’s my read, and what you did was perfect for you, quite beautiful. I know. I keep using that word. I rarely paint along with you. I don’t like to stop the video while I wait for my layers to dry. But I am inspired by your work, and I paint and collage in my own time. I do have to tell you that your videos are my favorites for late night. I frequently have issues with insomnia; my big brain just won’t stop churning. But your art, watching it emerge under your brush accompanied by the beautiful meditative music, acts as a prompt for the activity to slow, for me to be able to focus on the present moment and not have my mind agitating like a washing machine on a heavy duty cycle. And I fall asleep quicker and sleep well. So thank you for that, it’s invaluable.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for making the time to connect with me like this 🤗💕 I’m so happy you enjoyed watching this video and I really love that you were able to see ways you could have made it better for yourself ☺️ As someone who struggled with insomnia for many years, I can understand the importance of finding ways to distract ourselves from the churning thoughts that keep us up. I am so happy my videos help you feel more relaxed and grounded. My mom once told me she often falls asleep when watching my videos and honestly, I can only see that as a compliment. ☺️ Sleep is so important and unfortunately not so easy to come by so if my videos help anyone with this, all the better. ❤️ Thank you for being here with me 🤗💕

Love your art Gabriella thank you for sharing! One question: please can you tell me what board do you recommend for taping your watercolour paper onto? Many thanks Lx
Hi Lynne ❤️🤗 Thank you so much for your kindness! When it comes to boards, there really are so many options! For instance, the plexiglass I often use are just pieces from old shed windows that my husband helped me cut. I have plexiglass, old clipboards and MDF boards cut to smaller manageable sizes. Some things to consider for the right type of board: that it is very sturdy (for instance cardboard would probably be too easy to bend and warp as your paper dries) and I also like mine to not be too heavy so I can easily pick them up if I want to move my painting around as I am creating. Plexiglass works great, but when it comes to filming under bright lights, it can be a hassle to prevent glare. If you're not filming your process, that should not be an issue. 😉 I have seen some artists use glass cutting boards also. You might easily be able to find something around your home. If not, your local hardware store might have to relatively inexpensive option for you. Amazon sells small pieces of plexiglass too: amzn.to/3XPcQnz. I hope this helps! Thank you for making the time to reach out 🤗💕
@@gabrielleannacormierart thanks Gabriella for your response and that helps a lot. Your work is inspiring on many many levels. Look forward to your future creations and supporting thought processes. Take care Lx
I have the same fountain pen as yours and I often have trouble with it not flowing smoothly, even though I just put in a new cartridge. I have to get it going by using it on a plain piece of paper. It's like the tip gets covered in something. I'm using Arches paper and Daniel Smith paints. The pen works perfectly for a few seconds, then it stops working. Any insight on this?
Hi Cindy 🤗💕 Sometimes, this happens for me too! I usually find it helpful to rub the back of the pen nib on a piece of paper towel. When it happens a lot in a specific painting process, it is generally because I have a lot of paint pigment on the surface of my paper. This usually is an issue when I apply relatively thick layers of paint. I wonder if this could also be the reason you're having this issue. Generally speaking, the lighter (less pigmented) my paint layers are, the less I run into this issue. One tool that can help me get around some of this is my brush pen (amzn.to/3XR7IPQ). Of course, it won't work all that well for creating smaller dots, but when I'm doing some line work (in neurographic art for instance) it is great. I hope this helps! Thank you for making the time to reach out and connect. ☺️❤️
Thank you so much! Glad you're feeling better! 🌬💋

You're very welcome ❤️ I'm so glad you're feeling inspired! ☺️
Thank you for sharing your painting and process with us. Love the music you use in the background as well ❤
