Sir,!!!, That took me so far back, I remember being a young black man standing and waiting for .... Anyway, I'm an old white guy. Let's just say ... It worked.
Probably the best cover I've heard of this song. Everyone else tries to put their spin on it and make it what it isn't. Even the "great" Joe Bonamassa. Butchered it live on stage. His guitar center version was better but only marginally. Great song that needs to be understated to be real and authentic to the heart of the song. Thank you Fernando for keeping to the true value of this song. Great sound and slide skills!
Hey bro, Joe is doing this song live, and long after Ry recorded it. so what if he beefs it up and does his own thing. i'm sure if Ry Cooder heard joe's version he would be like Damn son! that kicked ass. it's called progress, I think Ry would like it. but that's just me.........
Lots of towns... Lots of songs... Lots of women... Good times... Bad times... Only thing I wanted anyone to say is... 'He could really play... He was good'...
I agree, I listen to a lot of people trying to play it. But couldn't play like the original. To me this one came really close. No disrespect to others. 😊
Wow , I been listening to your cover alot lately of feelin bad and I gotta say that gibson is it ? Has maybe the best tone of any guitar Ive ever heard . Every note is so sharp . And you did an excellent job tuning it . I could listen to that guitar for hours .
I don’t understand why it has to be a competition, who cares if it’s not for note? If it’s good, then it’s good. Do you think Ry ever switched it up any when he played it live? I can guarantee you he did, especially if he was playing this night after night. Ask any musician, i know i did when i played out. Just enjoy the music, no matter who is playing it.

While there are many versions of this one on uTube...Even though you were the lest bit rushed in some of the changes you are the closest I've seen to the original so far....Ry played it slower and allows the emotion of the sad notes to sink bone deep. Wish the video was lighter...the darkness hides some of your moves. Enjoyed immensely! 9.3 of 10...Thanks a Lot, Raylon
My guitar is a 1976 Japanese SG replica with original dirty fingers gibson hambuckers. I have it with me for 42 years, nothing to envy to an original SG
