  • This video gives insight into identity of Lord Shiva.
Lord Shiva is God of Kirat people, who inhabits the hills and mountains of the Himalayas regions. Kiratas or Kirat people were the original worshiper of Mahadev or the Great God.
The Kirat or Kirati or Kiranti or Kirant people are indigenous ethnic groups of the Himalayas (mid-hills) extending eastward from Nepal into India, Burma and beyond.
They migrated to their present locations via Assam, Burma, Tibet and Yunnan in ancient times. Prototype Tibeto-Burmans originated in the Yellow River basin around 10,000 to 30,000 years ago. Broadly speaking in Nepal, the Kirat people include the Sunuwar, Rai, Limbu, major segments of Newar people, Dewan, Bahing, Kulung, Thulung, parali, Khaling, Bantawa, Chamling, Jero and other related mongoloid ethnic groups.
Anatoly Yakoblave Shetenko, while on an archaeological study programme between Nepal and USSR, uncovered Kirat stone age tools and other artefacts from circa 30,000 B.C.
It is now well known that Lord Shiva Mahadev who was the original God of the Kirat people from the Himalayas was somehow adopted as part of vedic culture, religion after th Aryan arrived in ancient India .
The Mahabharata epic describes Kiratas were against the Pandavas Army. The same Mahabhrata text, in the section call Kirātārjunīya describes how Lord Shiva came as a kirati hunter to test Arjuna, one of the Pandavas Prince.
Kirātārjunīya (Sanskrit: किरातार्जुनीय, Of Arjuna and the Kirāta) is a Sanskrit kavya by Bhāravi, written in the 6th century or earlier. It is an epic poem in eighteen cantos describing the combat between Arjuna and lord Shiva in the guise of a kirāta or mountain-dwelling hunter .
This is is the video of Kirātārjunīya, which Lord Shiva, the Great God of Kiratas came as a ordinary kirati hunter to test Arjun.

lord shiva is God of all religion. ...lord shiva mostly associated with Hinduism because Hinduism isn't a religion, it is sanatan which means 'no religion'.Later people started creating religion by categorising themselves into Christian, Islam,Buddhism, jainism, Sikh, kiratism etc ...be ..So the festival of a hindu person of one state of India is different from the another person of other state of India. ....So, be hindu though your culture is bit different from other hindu people ..

@@bimaladevi327 Shiva/Paruhang earliest worshiper were kirati people...every Hindu god Vishnu , Brahma , Indra has caste but Lord shiva doesn't have caste.
Do you know why? Because kirati people didn't have a caste system.
this caste system was created by Aryans/Indians and belongs to them.
so yes Shiva earliest worshiper were Kirati people..later he was included and worshiped by Brahmins and all other Hindus too.
