That final 100 was so impressive with that huge kick at the end. He wanted to show the world he had more in the tank. His motion is so smooth and perfect!
High probailty some toxic parents. 8 yrs should not compete like this. Child labour, slavery comes to mind. In the USA you can be a criminal at 13, a cardriver by 16, a gunowner, casual murderer and a soldier by 18, and have a drink at 21. Go figure, and by any standards that is some mirrored values by the so called "land of the free". My non-existend " oh god".
If you watch Victor carefully, you see that he runs a perfect straight line down the straights - not a movement wasted. This is great form for one so young.
The drive, concentration and determination this little guys shows is way beyond his years! He will go far in every aspect of life. What an athlete!! ❤ Never was a child more aptly named. Great job, Victor. 😊🥇
That kid has ZERO quit in him. That was fun af to watch!! Way to go, young man. You are going places if you continue to put forth that kind of effort. Congratulations!! ❤️👍🇺🇸
Strong kid!!! Wow!!! That kick at the end??? Insane!!! Hope nobody puts great expectations on him & allows him to progress at his pace. If he continues to enjoy it, he will be great....
That was awesome! This little man can run like the wind! His arms were nice and loose when he was running and that last kick was super impressive! He didn’t seem that tired after winning! An Olympian in the making!
Awesome run! And Wow! Such a strong push at the end. Victor Jaimez-Solorio finished VERY WELL!!! What a champ. His parents must be SO proud of him!!! 😀😃😃😃
It's incredible but he reminds me so much of Sebastian Coe. The running action the smoothest running style and kick at the end very impressive you look up seb Coe Zurich 1979 world record. Almost same kind of race
thats a sub 5:30 mile at 8 years old. I hope he stays at it and the coaches keep him healthy. At this age it's all about having fun and just going for it.
World class performance at an early age! It's really impressive to see how much he understands technique and how he maintains his perfect form reaching top sepeed 😮🎉💯😱
Unbelievable. I kept my mouth open still for a long time after this amazing young athlete crossed the finish line. 5:07 is a stunningly result for such a young child.👏👏👏
Hope he has good coaching to bring him along gradually and not burn out. He has a lot of years of running and many miles if he chooses to run in high school and beyond.
@@J-zg5mh Burning out is pretty common amongst athletes-unfortunately just loving something isn’t always enough, especially when you’re at a competitive level. But hopefully yes, he runs for as long as he enjoys it.
Amazing how American schools have their own athletics track. In my old high school in a regional town of Australia, during athletics competition, the groundsman would make oil markings of the track to use as lanes.
When no one comes even close to you in racing and you beat the clock is well it w take someone extremely and seriously extraordinary talent to beat this young boy 👦 will be a legend ❤
Did I just watch an 8 year old run a 1500m running his toes? That’s insane! His pace control through the first 3 laps was insane. The kick with 400 to go was insane. The sprint finish was insane! 😳
Well done young man from all athletes and old old athlete’s like me in England 🏴 , I miss them days , the feeling of gliding not running is only a feeling a runner understands and has felt , the feeling of pushing past others is powerful, I used to sit 2nd and look down at the runner in fronts steps and I would copy stride for stride concentration and nothing but that I never felt pain or got out of breath cuz of that , I let them do the work till the last 200 and then I would go , BUT to take the lead for as long as you did is only a feeling a athlete with strong drive knows that feeling , WELL DONE 👏👍
Great job to young Mr. Victor. And he should definitely get credit where credit is due. Speaking completely objectively here. The problem that comes in with young children, being successful in athletics, tends to fall more so with grown-ups. He had really consistent splits with a Great kick finish, but it was not a monster kick (despite what the person posting this video says) Splits are: 55 (300m) 2:21 (86 sec) (400m) 3:48 (87 sec) (400m) 5:07 (79 sec) (400m) A couple things that stood out about his run, 1st he is not a heel striker, which means he runs on the balls of his feet. This can be a great thing for speed when it comes to your middle distance runs however as you proceed through high school and college ball strikers do not tend to carry on the speed into the longer distances (in college to 1500 is only middle distance). 2nd his hands in his fingers are incredibly stiff, which uses a lot of energy during your run. The thing about this young man’s run is that he maintained a constant pace with the exception of the final, hundred where he absolutely killed it. While the rest of those boys looked like normal eight year old boys. It is going to be very important for the grownups in his life to motivate him correctly because over the next couple years there’s a very good chance that gap will close and some of the runners are going to start passing him. Unfortunately in sports we find that there are parents that receive that sort of stuff in a very bad way and projected onto their child who carries that negativity forward. In short, for anyone who has young young children, and their wives that stand out in sports, have to make sure they nurture them the correct way.

That extra gear kick at the end was impressive. Nice arm swing too
Arm carriage was real good. I was impressed by the level of focus he showed.

He's got a very economical stride, no wasted arm or body motion, not overstriding. Outstanding!
Exactly 💯 %. Patricia will not overtake him.
Hope he keeps the love of the sport throughout his years! Looks like he is having a great time.
Awesome run! It’s hard to believe he’s only 8 years old, super talent.
his last 100m was truly amazing
I don't think I can do a mile under 6 and this kid can. Still can't believe this.
That kid has ZERO quit in him. That was fun af to watch!! Way to go, young man. You are going places if you continue to put forth that kind of effort.

I'm gooseflesh and crying watching this!
Amazing at his age too looked like a seasoned runner props to him and his team.
Yes his motion is so smooth and perfect
when you think that most adults cannot run the 1500m in TEN minutes puts this incredible achievement into perspective !!!!
That kick was scary, this kid is going to be a beast! 🤙🏾
Iconic performance...just hope they can manage the huge amount of strain on that young frame and he trains smart and balanced.
Excellent Form, Killer Kick, that Kid is AMAZING

He is AWESOME!
He just kept pulling further & further away. That child dominated!!!
Beautiful form and stride. He’s going tó be something else to watch through the coming years!
WOW like a mini professional. That is absolutely amazing.
How COOL is this?! Can wait to see these kids in the Olympics!!
Уже 8-летних накормили😢
This is one of the most insanely prodigious talents I've ever seen.
Awesome…the way he runs is perfect, hands tucked in n strides aligned❤❤❤❤
The way he ran, he did not look tired at all! Well done..
On a hunch, I looked up the elevation of Apple Valley California (2,946 ft) so that probably helped. Still amazing though.
Really impressive running, can't believe an 8 year old run that time. Don't think I would have done that at when I was 15 lol.
That truly is phenomenal! 5:07 for an 8 year old! Future world champ, Surley?
