Sounds like me in school. Got a perfect score on a state test required for graduation.
I was too angry to care because they lost my first test score and it was jeopardizing me graduating on time. Never cared for the score i just wanted it done.

Year 10 I topped the grade in a Maths test cause I was curious how I'd do if I actually studied properly for once.
After that I was barely scrapping passes.

All i remember from back then, i got first place for like 5 years in a row, then i moved out and never tried again to be the very top. My mom insisted on at least tenth place, so i did just that for the remainder of my (non college) student life. Now... I'm struggling with assignments. Please help.

I kinda feel for Ane’nis because during my jr. high years I was the kid who constantly got 100s, my more vivid memories were actually about the three times I DIDN’T get an 100. The second-place girl in my grade constantly gets dragged by her mom up to me and my mom as her mom fawns over me and berated her about how stupid and a disappointment she is. And yes, we’re both Asian.
