Rose cuttings | Easy way to plant rose from cuttings with Vermiculite
1. In addition to winter, rose cuttings can be carried out in other seasons. The most suitable time is in spring, April and May, or autumn, August and September.
2. The substrate I use is vermiculite, the size is between 3-5mm, it has good air and water permeability, can make the soil loose and breathable, light in weight, good moisturizing effect, and can reduce the possibility of rotten roots.
3. Select a robust rose branch with a length of about 10-15cm, remove the leaves at the lower end, leaving only three or four buds, and then use a knife to cut a 45° bevel at the bottom of the branch. In order to increase the contact area between the branches and the soil, and promote the rooting and sprouting of the branches.
4. Put an appropriate amount of vermiculite in the container, insert the rose branches into the vermiculite, pour it thoroughly, and then place it in a cool and ventilated place. If possible, cover it with a bag to keep it warm and moisturizing. Generally, it can take root and sprout after 3 weeks, and finally transplant it.

I think this is how i propigated my Corn Plant Years ago. I had 1/1 or 100% success rate 😃 but i couldnt remember if I used Perlite or Vermiculite. I always get those 2 confused. I would like to try again with Magnolia & Dogwood Tree cuttings.
