Female President was such a good song! And Expectation's dance ended up blowing them up, such iconic choreography. Though, Something, Darling, and Ring My Bell are all *chefs kiss* are their superior title songs in my personal opinion.
Before there was MAMAMOO as the Vocal Queens of Kpop there was SNSD TTS, SISTAR, GIRL'S DAY, SPICA who all carried that title in the same generation.

Girls Day was one of those groups that consistently delivered amazing bops. Their popularity was explosive, and rightly deserved.

Nothing's Lasts Forever is from 2010 btw! It was after 2 members left and Yura and Hyeri were added.
Edit: the second song it's called Twinkle Twinkle! It was the song who made them somewhat popular (it sold 1m copies) until they blew up with Expectation and got their first win with Female President!

Expectation helped launch the Sexy Girl Group Wars in 2013 to 2015 between those you mentioned, plus SISTAR, Dal Shabet, EXID, Bestie and even T-ARA.
Oof, Stellar...I feel so bad for how that group was treated.
I kinda blame The Entertainment Pascal for ruining sexy/mature concept girl groups. There was a time where mature groups ruled the female side of the kpop industry with Girl's Day, AOA, Sistar, 4Minute, Fiestar, Brave Girls, Hello Venus.
Nothing against cute concepts, but with exception to Twice it's just not my thing. And you don't see companies playing with mature concepts as much. And I personally feel that as long as women are of a certain consenting age, comfortable with it and are given that autonomy with choosing those concepts its a perfectly fine avenue for kpop.
But TEP and how they treated Stellar just put up all these red flags about how much girls groups were consenting to these concepts. Between that and Korea's conservative slut shaming culture, it just killed the reign of the "mature concept" in kpop. At least on the female side of things. You can still see plenty of guy groups be sexy, dancing all sweaty with out shirts on and what not.
Expectation is still in my top 100 kpop songs! It’s so good!

Girl's Day has some absolute bops and everytime I listen to Expectation I can't help but remember one video I saw years ago of people playing Random Play Dance with kpop songs in public and Girl's Day happen to stop by and they watch the people dancing, but then Expectation starts to play and literally everyone there knew the dance cause it was so iconic and they were so surprised and happy. I've been trying to find the video so I can link it here for like 10 min but I can't find it :( it was very wholesome

Girls Day Trivia: It's kind of ironic that 2 members left and were replaced by Yura and Hyeri just in time for "Nothing Lasts Forever". Girl's Day is blessed with 2 very solid vocalist in Goddess Park Sojin and Main Vocalist Bang Minah. I can't wait to see you react to their last song, I'll Be Yours, which really shows off Minah's vocal runs. I also hope you react to "Don't Forget Me". I don't know what happened, but you are definitely missing a chunk of the "Twinkle Twinkle" music video, the second song. I really wish you would do these in order though for the proper "impact". When Expectation came out it was kind of their opening salvo in the Sexy Girl Group Wars that really took off in 2013 to 2014 between Girl's Day, AOA, and SISTAR. This begat a whole load of similar groups like Dal Shabet and Steller to name a few. Girl's Day followed up with the incredible Female President and then peaked with Something at the start of 2014. And yes the whole KPOP world had that reaction when Yura showed off half her ass! They're live stages with the suspenders and the coat "tails" were epic as well.

LMAO I’ve been waiting for this for sure! Twinkle Twinkle is one of my all-time favorite cute concepts for both the song and MV. I remember when they came out with Expectation and gave everyone a collective heart attack. Female President is a jam though kinda marred by Yura (rapper) not feeling comfortable in that body stocking (it was not a super short dress, thankfully). Also their female president was human garbage but that’s neither here nor there. Wish we had gotten a proper goodbye from them.

Girl's Day is my original Ultimate Group so I am super excited to see you experience them. The fact that the playlist only has 8 songs tells me some important stuff is probably missing. I may point out some other MVs check out once you reach the end of the playlist.
Girl's Day has an interesting history. Their company was literally paid by the Korean government to make kpop groups as part of some cultural and economic stimulus program. It was weird. I don't know all the details because a lot of the sources pertaining to this require knowing Korean.
But they had a rough start. Bit of an identity crisis. Their debut song "Tilt My Head" is...a trainwreck that needs to be seen just as a lesson of everything not to do for a debut song. But cringey debut songs to that degree are kind of a product of that era of kpop. Honestly, Nothing Lasts Forever should have been their debut song. It actually came out in 2010. But after Nothing Lasts Forever, they went through this weird chipmunk autotune phase that I'm not a fan of. You have two amazing vocalists (technically three if you count Jihae before she left) and "Alvin and the Chipmunks" their voices?
But after Oh! My God they switched from the cute concept to a far more mature and it just worked so much better for them. It was brief but they kinda ruled the kpop world for awhile. It was sad to see them just...stop existing. Another group that never officially disbanded. Their contracts just ran out and their former company technically doesn't really exist anymore. So at least it increases their chances of having a reunion at some point *fingers crossed*.
I was so sad to see them get put on the back burner , but they at least came back with a banger in I'll Be Yours. I was sad to see them go.
Girls Day were my third ult group after SNSD, and KARA back in the day. It's so sad some of the new generation haven't even heard of them. There was a time in 2013 where they were unstoppable.

i think there is cutting part in the song of Twinkle Twinkle, better check with 1K video than the official, there have to be part that Minah used the Grazy Cat to Yura, i don't know why that section is cut in the official.
Unfortunately sometime in the future since the release of Female President, South Korea’s first female president got impeached for manipulation of state affairs😭 The song then became of those songs you listen in secret away from society haha.
