Piles of branches, weeds and cuttings of bamboo and wood around his garden and that "holiday resort" on that muddy puddle.
I would like to see the pond become clear. He could toss/slide boulders/big stones to the bottom of the pond, which will hold the mud down. Then work on the sides to hold the erosion in check/place. I believe he will add more plants for oxygen for the fish. Stones and rocks will allow hiding places, also, for the fish and crabs. His area has not seen very much bright sunshine lately. Mist and some rain. Well, it is called the rain forest. I, too, like him and his work. I go back to the beginning and see how bland the land was and all the hard effort put into his house and land. Ingenuity at its best.

You really should brace those support beams other than just nails driven upwards. It will hold for a little, but without proper bracing those nails are looking for trouble.
