- Take Good Care of my Baby follows Swiftpaw in the afterlife, watching over Brightheart and Cloudtail, making sure Cloudtail treats Brightheart with respect, because in the end, Swiftpaw cares for Brightheart and he just wants to see her happy. This is not a shipping map. The theme of this map is a 50s/60s feel as shown by each characters accessories.
It’s finally here! I love how this map turned out and I’m so glad redacted decided to collab on this map with me! I really hope you enjoy and I hope you check out all of the participants, they all did amazing to bring my vision to life and I couldn’t have done it without them, check them out below! I want to thank Rikatu for helping color and shade the frames in the outro, I wouldn’t have been able to get it done so quickly if it wasn’t for her!

I’m gonna clarify this again since it keeps getting brought up, this is NOT a shipping map between Brightheart and Swiftpaw. When I first worked on this map I was unaware it could be taken in that way. At most this is a shipping map between Brightheart and Cloudtail, where Swiftpaw wants to make sure Brightheart is living her life to the fullest with someone who truly loves her for her. In all fairness though the song choice was probably not the best for the story we wanted to tell originally but I can’t really change that now, but if I could rewrite it I would.
I think that this could be depicted as from maybe a different century? Like, with dowries? I think Swiftpaw was being the fatherly figure of Brightpaw and making sure that she has a good husband who will take good care of her.

Brightheart is sad because Daisy said something to her face, not because Cloudtail welcomes her. I mean, everyone else was a little reluctant to keep Daisy in ThunderClan. Cloudtail experienced the same thing, so he wants her to feel welcomed

When Brightheart found Swiftpaw's tie... and then Cloudtail consoled her and they were BOTH grieving, that sent me. I cried real tears. Though simple in conveying the emotions, you did an especially excellent storytelling job with that last scene. Lots of people view Cloudtail and Swiftpaw sort of like frienemies, where they have this kind of distaste for each other due to them falling for the same cat, when in reality they were in fact friends and just share the same love interest. I love this version of Swiftpaw where he's not resentful or envious of Cloudtail, but rather supportive. Absolutely LOVE the idea for this MAP, and the song fits perfectly. This community never fails to knock my socks off with the things it creates. Wonderful job to all the artists and animators who worked on this project thank you for contributing to one of my absolute favorite MAPs in my 9 years of being apart of this community.

@@hivecicle well we all know the erins absolutely suck at detail when they write about anything other than a predictable prophecy so it's at least safe to say that even if they weren't literally head over heels for her, there's still loads of fanon stuff that makes it like they were. A WHOLE TON of warriors fanon stuff is really common and accepted like that, like how you wouldn't name your warriors oc radiofur set in a normal warriors universe cus they don't know what a radio is..
Legend AJ I think Cloudtail had a small challenge against Swiftpaw because him and Brightheart are close. But because the two of them are cousins, I feel Swift was protective and loving purely because of that, them being cousins
i agree however, in the books- swiftpaw and brightheart didn't like each other that way- they were friends, and cousins. but yeah- i agree with the way that both of them got emotional, and the animation is just mWAH

@@littlefox_100 I respect your opinion, and I do get why some people may not like it but I find them pretty cute. I still think its a great MAP though! Even if you don't like the accessories, I think the animation of each person and the MAP's story itself is something more important to focus on

This has to be pretty nuch cannon, that Swiftpaw wants Brightheart to be happy even after he's dead, and since Cloudtail loves her, then he is happy with that, even if it means he doesn't get to be her mate.

I just didn't see Swiftpaw as wanting to be her mate, because to ME, it seemed like he was like a protective brother/cousin. I headcanon him being older (I mean, isn't he?) And being the 'leader' of the apprentices!
But I can see why people ship them, it's cool, just not how I see it.
And the authors seems to forget Cherrytail and Sparrowpelt were siblings! Because Pebbleshine and Hawkwing are cousins! XD (So is heathertail and breezepelt!)

This was a really cute map!!! Really emphasizes how Swiftpaw cared for Brightheart and was happy that she was happy with Cloudtail.
If there’s one thing I would’ve loved in this map was when Brightheart found Swiftpaw’s bow at the end, I think she would’ve shown in to Whitepaw/Whitewing and Whitepaw would keep it in memory of her mother’s friend Swiftpaw. Idk seems weird but I find it cute

AA ok this trio has been some of my FAVORITE characters since I started reading warriors! i absolutely Love old-ish music like this so this map is a dream come true! the work done on this is so amazing and talented!!! good job everyone!!!

This map really helped me get through a hard time. I discovered this map while my dad was still in the hospital from a heart attack, and it helped me forget about it for just a short moment. For that I can’t thank you enough. Beautiful map, can’t wait to see your future masterpieces!

My opinion on the shipping of Swiftpaw and brightheart.
I personally don’t think neither of them liked each other, they were friends and that’s it. She joined in to be kind to Swiftpaw, she also felt kinda the same, and you can tell even from early on she liked cloudtail.
I know this map doesn’t really say anything about them liking each other, but I wanted to put my opinion out there. Good job on the map! You guys did brilliantly

I love this map! The pastel colors are so pleasing to see, and the characters with accesories is a unique touch! The pinkish background is sooo nice!
I don't ship Swiftpaw and Brightheart, but I LOVE Cloudtail and Brightheart! It's so sad because Swiftpaw was Brightheart's cousin, and I imagine him being protective towards his kin. I think he was older than Brightheart, Thornclaw, Cinderpelt, and Brackenfur, and it must've been hard for him to see such a young cat (Cloudtail) to not only be a warrior ahead of him, but also to his cousins! (I imagine him being the 'big brother')
And Swiftpaw was Longtail's apprentice (Longtail = best minor character) and Cloudtail was Firestar's. Longtail and Firestar didn't like eachother, and that must've rubbed off to Swiftpaw. And Cloudtail as an apprentice was a snobbish brat, so Swiftpaw didn't want him to be Brightheart's mate.
This might be headcanon or whatnot.
Also, Brightheart was upset about Daisy NOT because Cloudtail welcomed her, but because Daisy was shocked/a little bit rude to Brightheart's face. And she wouldn't be mad that Cloudtail was welcoming Daisy, because the other warriors would give Daisy nasty looks/make her feel not welcome, and she likes that Cloudtail is an open, good-hearted tom. He was also a kittypet who joined the Clans, and he understands Daisy, and Brightheart appreciates that.

Wow- this MAP is really good, especially the accessories and the unnatural gore colors at 1:10 ! Typically, I'd try to stay on the cartoon-ish style, realistic colors side with my art but I think it all fits really well with this MAP!

I don't know anything about Warriors cause I never read/listened to the series but the fact that the father is dead and says "... and if you ever find that you don't actually love her, send her back home to me. " it sounds like he is saying that he wants him to kill her. ;-;
But this is amazing!
Their tiny outfits are adorable and the idea is fantastic. I love the thought of Swiftpaw being glad Brightheart found love in Cloudtail and being happy for them both
something that sets this apart from all other swiftpaw maps is the way in which it makes you sad. with ones like i'm not ready (really fucking good, go watch it) it tells the story of swiftpaw's short life and uses impactful scenes like his spirit laying over her injured body.
this actually shows you his perspective _after_ it all, when he's in starclan and watching her like a hawk. it's actually really painful to put yourself in his shoes. imagine dying for the one you loved so much and having to watch them grow up and move on without you. you'd feel angry but not at them, at the fact you're not *there* with them. and even though i also firmly believe he would support cloudtail, that must have hurt to see. even if they were friends, having to know brightheart is loving someone else because she _can't_ love him would have been a really harsh experience.
it didn't leave me in tears, but it left me realizing how many swiftpaw must have shed, and that honestly might be sadder.
I like the designs you put on the cats and it's so cute! And I liked the song you chose cause it fits with swiftpaw and it's a oldie but goodie
