The engraving toolpath is often mistaken for a quick way to add text to a part, such as a lot number or a heat code. George Simmons takes us through the process of engraving a logo and text with the Engraving toolpath in Mastercam, and contrasts that with using a simple Contour toolpath with single-stroke fonts to engrave information quickly and simply on your part. Both are great for adding text, but they are very different approaches for applying logos or text to a part.
