Always wondered this. Oddly enough I think the only time debris from a battle is mentioned is in the Clone wars the Kamino invasion when the debris plays a role in the plot. Although their is no resistance in space right? So debris wouldn’t just sit still if they were exploded like in Battlefront 2 campaign where the remains of the Death Star is just drifting or idle in space. So it’s definitely not raining down on Endor.
@@adamallen7070well, the blasters have mass, let alone the blast of a missile, I’d imagine the force of it would send it in a direction, possibly crashing into a planets surface. There was a distinction. In Rebels, they didn’t blow up the dome until it was over the sea. Besides they weren’t going to blow it up until the planetary shield was up. (Oh late, someone already said that. No credit here)
One of the other comments covers how rex supposedly said they would be clear of the city so I probably don't need to say this but it's possible this a case of learning from past experiences instead of hypocrisy.
Yeah, non-combatants getting killed is often something rebels usually don't think about. How many civilians or even "indentured servants" ended up being killed by the very rebels who might have otherwise been their saviors.
Uhh they literally activated the cities shields prior to this happening. Once the Chimera showed up with Thrawn, they raised the shields. Zeb killed Rukh in the shield generator room to activate them.
Wait a minute did they blow up the imperial dome before the battle of endor or the end of the empire? Like doing that much damaged to the empire before the rebelion even was at it peak would just result in the imperials just glassing the planet and the ghost crew having priority target nr 1 on their heads. Like the amount of damage they caused the empire before the rebelion kicked off was unbelivable taking out an imperial planetary garrison, blowing up countless imperial ships and star destroyers, blowing up countless kyber crystals needed for the death star, killing alot of imperial personel and Inquisitors, eliminate countless imperial officer and high ranking admirals. If you think about it the ghost crew and the early rebelion praticlly won the galatic civil war before it even began.
I get the point your trying to make but it's a bit flawed as in the episode of rebels rex says the detonation happened over water. And 2 maybe some people did die form the rubble so she learns from that and didn't want to do it again
Chopper killed somewhere between 4,000-5,000 people and or droids in rebels if you don't include the dome explodeing. That little chaos bucket is a war criminal.
There ist one thing that massively bothered me in the Scene in Ashoka. Hera is a general of the new republic. They aren’t insurgents anymore, they are the government. They control the planet, so why didn’t she try to order the fleeing ship to be intercepted?
Actions of a soldier fighting in a war aren't the same as the actions of a general during a time of peace. A soldier isn't a hypocrite if he says it was wrong for a serial killer to murder his wife even though the soldier themselves might have racked up a body count that makes the serial killer's look like nothing.
Incorrect, they blew it up over the sea, shows you are just don’t know what you are taking about. You should try watching some Star Wars at some point it’s pretty good!
you smell like a bot... Because my comment has nothing to do with the sea... Just that people who write for characters that they didn't make often change the characters or don't understand what characters actually stand for.
To be fair, back then the worry was destroying the empire. Now its maintaining a new republic. And its hard to maintain a mew republic if ya kill said republic
Bruh didn't they like put the shields up 10 minutes before they blew it up? They put the shields back up on the city to stop the admiral's bombardment on the city, i don't really know how tech works but the shield should have protected them from the debris. That is my assumption but the fact is the shields were up. I know that coz I just finished watching it. On another note, I really don't like this Hera portrayal, the actress looks too young, and she doesn't embody that motherly big sister, mama bear, sage mentorish vibe that Hera is, and that was before she got a kid. The running joke throughout the entirety of Rebels was that she was Mama Bear and Canaan was Papa Bear. I don't feel that here, it's just another random Twi'lek female to me, who just happens to go by Hera. She might be hot but shes not Hera.
That doesn’t count silly. Aside from the fact that it didn’t send debris onto the city, as said by Rex… That whole area was under imperial control, as such she had no obligations to protect IMPERIAL citizens during an act of terrorism. But now that she serves the new order, those citizens are part of it, and she’s obligated to protect them, and sadly cannot dedicate time to her favourite pastime, of slaughtering as many people as possible.
Apparently you missed the very important dialog in the show right before they blew up the dome saying it was over the ocean. They made sure it was clear before they blew it. A few extra minutes of research can save you from bad videos like this one.
So what you're saying is that Hera behaved differently when she was a desperate rebel from a slave species being crushed by a tyrannical government, than when she acted as a professional officer in charge of keeping the peace and protecting citizens under her charge? What a wild concept.

Arguably, that’s the difference between fighting an insurgent rebellion, and being the government in charge.
