anemone is a wonderful piece of music and show fully the width in Band-Maid catalogue, and the diversity in Kanami's songwriting. Kanami is a genius, her solo is also something else, so emotional. The song starts out slow and calm, and is slowly building up. I love how MISA and Akane is jazzing it up a bit now and then. The ending is powerful for a song of this type, very cool indeed. Anemone is an excellent example of why Band-Maid is the best. They do soft love songs at the same high level as their rockers. I can not think of a band that can pull this off as well, without talking about bands like Led Zeppelin. You have to back half a century to find rivals to their songwriting, performance standards, and how consistent they are as well.
The initial volume is (I’m quite sure) from the cell phone mic. Then the external takes over. I did not set the recording volume up enough. In POrtland I had it real good, and it is “loud” even with ear buds. And clear . In Anaheim it would have been better if it was set like in POrtland. BUT if you play it on a good home system you do get clear sound, but it needs a to be up “all the way”. So, I think it is very very clean, even at maximum volume. I’m sure Uncle Yoshi will agree…. Things like external mics are cool, but it is another point of potential failure. And usually you don’t realize any mistakes until you get home. In Huston 2023 my mic was fine, but I was way off to the side. The next night in Austin I was (❤️❤️❤️) on the rail with MISA!!! Guess what…. The port for the mic, the charging port, would not let me use the mic!! Ugh. So I recorded with the phone mic. I was so looking forward to that being a super clean recording. Well there ya go!
