Which is Better? Inches or Metric? The Answer Will Shock You!

- The battle between Imperial and Metric measurements has raged for long enough and the system of measurement that has emerged victorious is...unexpected.
Do you read the video descriptions? Do you like doing useless math? Leave me a comment defining a measurement NOT covered in this video in SBU. Thanks for watching!

It’s time for a change! 🍌
Damn... I just invested in cucumbers...
Finally! Tool makers unite! Let's get this happening!
Thanks for sharing, professor
Cheers
M&M Candy's or Bananas ... I better check the pantry 😁😁
That was great, thanks for the chuckles.
The gravitas in this video outstanding🤣
Excellent. Well thought out. I especially liked the wavelength shift as the banana changed from yellow to brown. I never would have thought of that. Plus your artistic skill are incomparable. The sketch of the banana almost looks real (except for the fact that it's 2-dimensional and not yellow). We're seeing a side of you that we didn't know existed.
Thanks Neal. I'm glad you appreciate the finer details. I'm planning on framing the visual aid and hanging it in my future office.
That's just bananas... 🤣
Were there any slip ups in the making of this video?
So many slip ups, but if you found it appealing then it was all worth it.
Boxers!?!? I thought for sure you’d be a “banana hammock” type of human.
They're swin trunks actually.
I've been using the SBU for years in the airplane. When I need a small course correction, I roll in 3 bananas and then back to wings level. Works perfect! For really small changes flying an ILS, I'll even use half a banana!
I learned the hard way that the bananas in crew meals are not SBU's.
@@Kevin_747 We called them box nasties when I was in Germany. The Lune yogurt was pretty good.😉 Never got 🍌 in them.
Entertaiment value may also be measured, and is calibrated as follows:
1 SBU = the humor derived from one professional pratfall comedian slipping on… well, you know what.
I rate this video at 5 SBU. Pretty substantial output.
I like it! I'll add it to the list.
Thanks for the laugh 😂
You're welcome. You'll love what I've got planned for this April Fool’s Day
At first I thought this was going to be an April Fool's joke, but then I realized this as just a genius idea which happened to come out today. I've already begun to use the SBU. For example, the number of times a tire rotates was revs per mile. Now I can just use SBUs per SBU. For a 7.2SBU circumference tire, it is 2800SBUs per SBU.
This is so much better than the metric system, it's not even funny. It's also marginally better than Imperial. I never thought I would see the day that someone created something better for every day use. Impressive!
Dude how you kept a strait face for all of that was amazing. That was hilarious! BTW my instructor from way back said that the metric system is for stupid MF's that can't count past ten.
There were many takes.
I haven't even watched your video yet but I would have to say metric is just more intuitive and simpler overall, especially when you're working down to small measurements like in machining.
And this is coming from a person that almost never uses metric and had used imperial my whole life and i feel more comfortable with imperial measurements.
In Canada, the funny thing is we're technically under the metric system but many many people prefer using imperial measurements. But the interesting thing is that will vary slightly depending on what field a person works in. But I would say even though we're technically a country that uses the metric system, most people i think (especially ones that do manual work, wood working, metal working and machining) tend to use imperial system here.
Edit: just an edit now that i continued watching your video, lol I was not expecting that 😂
I thought it was going to be some deep discussion and debate about imperial vs metric system lol.
I should really change that thumbnail now that it isn't April 1st. I've heard that same thing from a lot of Canadians and British. Technically metric, but not in practice. One of these days I should do a proper video discussing the two systems.
At last! Totally agree that we should get rid of metric and imperial, but mostly imperial. The banana is the obvious choice, although, we here in Australia would insist on using the Lady Finger banana as our standard. Shorter and sweeter than the common Cavendish, it shouldn't cause too much inconvenience for just one country to have a different system.....😂
Sure, what harm could come from that?
lol, this was fun.
You're a nut! I love bananas runt!
You can have them.
I love me some banana pudding!
Happy April 1st
Hang on a sec. What about Big Mike?! The Gros Michel is the Celsius to the Cavendish's Fahrenheit.
Ahh a man of culture! Of course, the only reason the Cavendish is the dominant variety of banana today is because the Gros Michel was nearly wiped out by a fungus that the Cavendish was resistant to.
Well done. And, it is a much bette unit than that proposed b the Klingons.
Why is my banana always larger in the morning?
Happy April´s fools.Thank you.
LOL!
Tell me Stuart, do bananas bend the other way in the antipodes? the northern hemisphere needs to know. Do you have a correspondent in the antipodes you can consult with to settle the matter? Also there is a hidden property of bananas not touched by your presentation: non Euclidean geometry, I'm disappointed to see have not touched on this important physical property...
😂😂😂😂😂!
Message received. Don’t do drugs……
😅😅😅
April Fools right.
But of course!
Use what you want but for me it’s feet and inches and decimal . 😊
Metric sucks!!!!!
Bye bye. Unsubscribed
Relax and enjoy, It is an April Fools Video

OMG, Dave must be one of those radical, fundamentalist, plantain nut jobs. I've always heard of then, but thought they were mythical creatures, just like ________ (You fill in the blank. If I type what I want to type, I'd probably get banned from UA-cam)
