I am half way through my first book of 2018 LOL. You along with a close friend of mine have inspired me to get back into reading. I used to be such a bookworm when I was younger but college ruined my love of reading so now I'm inching my way back into it and I've missed it so much!!! Thank you for the recommendations. A couple of the books you've named I've heard several people rave about. I hope to get to at least a couple of them next year!

And this year I said I really wanted to get back to it because as a teenager and young adult I KEPT my nose in a book! I truly feel like it feeds my spirit and my anxiety is overall lower when I read.

I read over 20 books this year and two of them from your list that I also read are 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck' and 'The Hate U Give.' I enjoyed them both. If you like fantasy, you should try reading The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemison. It is a trilogy and I'm currently reading the second one, but the first is so good I have to recommend it. The author and the characters are black and you don't get that often in fantasy.
