Have no Idea, but I would Male a party if you jam over some 80 Movie Soundtracks like for example Danger Zone. There are for sure some other interesting tunes, so maybe stuff for another medley?
@@TheRayfield77I have a degree in music, and I couldn’t do it on my own. If it’s true that Mr. Miller handles it all himself (which, respectfully, is unlikely), then he’s a genius (which was never a doubt). That kind of live setup usually takes a whole team, and everyone has to know precisely what they’re doing. The only bands I can reasonably compare this group’s professionalism to are Toto, Dirty Loops, and Peter Gabriel’s Secret World touring lineup, i.e., everyone knows precisely what they’re doing and it just works, and when it works, it’s magical.
Damn! The drummer is outstanding. He knows how to stay in the pocket, not overplay and maintain the groove. Great example of how to serve the song. ❤❤❤
Its funny, because if you watch some of their earlier videos, he gets a lot of stick for overplaying. I've always found him outstanding and find him an exceptional drummer.
@@stoojinatorThe only time I ever found Felix to really be overplaying was that Pink Floyd medley. Because it’s Pink Floyd, you gotta leave some spaces to Breathe.
I saw Bowie live at the Philadelphia spectrum when he did this song. My wife wore a bright red dress and look like a flower and he turned and looked at her right at that point. Trembling like a flower. she just passed away. I'l never forget it. What a great rendition of this song. Thank you guys
I don't usually sit in front of my computer with a smile on my face, but when I do, I'm usually watching an epic Martin Miller band instrumental jam! Everybody is so tasteful and epic!
Have listened to everything you guys have done and you are seriously a stand out group of musos. The sound quality, musicianship and precision in all that you do makes me hang out waiting for the next thing you do. I am a drummer so a serious bias towards Felix (who is so good it is not funny !) but you are all absolutely fantastic - and Mateus is a killer guitarist ! The variety of songs is also a stand out. Keep up the great work and can't wait for the next thing you do. Bit of a request - Would love to hear your version of Rio Funk !!
Martin Milller is a hard act to follow , amazing solo , I thought where can Mateus go after that, omg , freaking unreal, ,I've never seen that side of him, before, there are musicians and there are performers , burning up the fretboard, wow, this whole jam was another level !!
Great performance along with Mateus, simply perfect Martin Miller, let's dance... David Bowie is smiling, where ever he is... Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Came for Mateus, but thoroughly enjoyed Martin and Bens solos. I did have a moment during Martins solo when I thought Mateus might not be able to match that creatively, but he certainly did. Really amazing playing by all!
Mateus tone is so amazing between clean and breaking up with such a nice mix. Martin and the rest of band is amazing as well. Drums is perfectly arranged for song. There is so much bling with the great solos but still with a groove to keep em on the dance floor. Perfectly covered!
Wow. Mateus youre already a legend. Your runs a unique. I mean the solo was amazing, but not only the solo, the small things in the back, so nice.... Big fan!!
The small things in the background really remind me of all the stuff Buck Dharma did in Blue Oyster Cult. A lot of really tasty licks sprinkled everywhere.
Most people don't know that Stevie Ray Vaughan played these parts on Bowie's album. After knowing this, you can tell. He was unknown and playing in London when Bowie saw him. Also heard he didn't want to pay SRV and he was not happy about that. You can really tell in Little China Girl as well.
SRV wasn't an unknown in the blues world, he opened up for ZzTop in mid 70s and played with all the blues legends. Bowie didn't meet him in London but rather saw him play at Montreux Jazz (the iconic live at Montreux album) and contacted him the following year. SRV played on 6 of 8-9 songs. Bowie was an absolute tool to touring musicians and f***Ed over many. Supposedly he dangled an opening act on tour. But after recording, SRV was relegated to backup musician and wouldn't be allowed to talk about his music, Bowie controlled all press. So, he quit. He said to this band,:"We’re quitting this shit and going back to playing in Texas, because the money is better and it’s less hassle.” imagine playing with one of the biggest names in music, touring some of the biggest venues in America ...but only making $300 a week and sharing a van like a group of starving musicians. The bass player said They also wanted SRV to go down this ramp in a choreographed dance way and Stevie didn't play that game. Yeah, he didn't have good things to say about Bowie.
These videos are priceless in how they show the difference between a merely competent player and a superstar. Not even in terms of technical ability, but in terms of musical ability.
I'm so glad I subscribed to this channel 😂 what a masterclass. Never thought someone would do a cover of this song that wasn't boring. The ability to turn the *dazzle* up to 11 without taking away the soul of the original song is unbelievable. Love it 💙
All instruments sits beautifully in place, bass unbelievable, drums beautifully compressed incredible sounds used, organs so tasteful. MONSTER VOCALS A MYSTERY RECORDING LOVE IT LOVE IT. Genre very new for me but production is just ridiculously good! 🍻
Pedro Pascal and Brazilian Jesus on guitars, Chris O'Dowd on bass. Can't get any better than that. This shall be played proper loud and the neighbors shall dance.
Que Maravilha! Sou muito fã do Mateus e do Martin. Essa junção ficou simplesmente incrível. Ainda mais com essa obra espetacular de David Bowie. Lets Dance, Guys! Wow, that's awesome! I'm a huge fan of Mateus and Martin. This collaboration is just mind-blowing. Especially with this spectacular work by David Bowie. Lets Dance, Guys!
O Mateus Asato é um dos maiores guitarristas do Planeta Terra de todos o tempos. Sou muito fã dele desde o início. O Martin Miller estou conhecendo agora, mas já sou seu fã também, toca muito. Parabéns a banda toda.
Que isso meu pai?? Tirando o Matheus que já se sabe ser um músico de altíssimo nível, os outros músicos são incrivelmente competentes. Destaque para o baixista com esse vocal que é só fechar os olhos e sentir o Bowie logo ali.
This is one of my favorites. I found really interesting the evolution you guys have had specially in terms of improvisation. And the guest is from another planet.
Nile Rodgers and Bowie production of Let's Dance has a new fantastic rendition with the MM team. When the musicians are so great the outcome is always a joy. Thanks!
Detrás de una gran banda hay una gran producción... wao, el sonido, las imágenes, el escenario, los camarógrafos... impresionante la mezcla... sigan reinterpretando la buena música clásica.

the camera man at 6:47 :D
The engineering is next level. Every instrument sounds so perfectly balanced in the mix and has such a great unique tone. I am floored.
Underrated comment. I don't think most people understand just how difficult that is to do.
We want a video explaining this mixing process
It's Martin himself I think :)

My exact thought
But then Mateus stepped forward, and then massacred
@@jacobmoux5235 i actually preferred martins solo. it sounded more rock which i like. mateus solo had alot of jazz influence.
When Martin releases one of these videos, nothing in the world matters for that period. Such class
Voa Mateus!!

Boa! Assino embaixo!

Mateus is one of the best.
Great mix of skill, shred and feeling.
This band continues to impress, thank you for blessing us with gift after gift.
Totally agree. Martin and Mateus both did very different, but equally complimentary solos.
that producer deserves a raise.
Martin Miller himself 😁
I love the dialogue between the keyboard and the bass. ❤
Fantastic solo by Mateus Asato... No words.. congrats to the full band, excellent!
STILL the best band in the world right now as we spin around the sun. TY Marty for sharing!

Felix, that guy is a mammoth. Rips the fabric of time.
The pocket is deep with this one. 😎
I f love his drumming
It's so nice to see someone who knows how to craft a solo. There's a clear arc all the way through and I love it!
from 6.40 Mateus shows where the hammer hangs. Whoaaa. a guy in his own class. Totally in control of speed, expression and tone...great fun!
The drummer is the MVP over and over again
Martin Miller and friends + Matheus = Perfection
Great memories and time period.. a legend David Bowie greatly missed never forgotten.

Cat People too, same album
Didn't know that. Nice one 👌
SRV only recorded the solo at the end of the song. The rest of the guitar parts were arranged and recorded by musician/producer Nile Rodgers.
