I know this is a very old comment, but I'd just like to add my piece. I know that the final film is supposed to be the "finale", but who knows if it was the actual end of Bruce as Batman? I mean, we see how he restored everything in the end, like how the batman symbol was fixed, and that someone's running the batcave. Alfred's dream was that Bruce would finally be happy outside of the cape crusader... and he did just that. Alfred wanted Bruce to find a good wife and have kids he knew if Bruce stays in Gotham bane kills him that ends Wayne's legacy bloodline ..bruce was like a son to Alfred he wanted to see him happy
The acting is great in each movie of the Dark Knight trilogy
Agreed. All of the characters served a role and were terrifically played.
This scene helped me out a lot. Powerful stuff.
I’ve always loved Alfred, he spoke the truth and always full of wisdom.
I come back here once in a while to hear that talk from alfred cause thats what i need to hear sometimes but nobody does so here i am...its a great scene.
Goddam the music really does it for me
This is one ☝️ of the deepest scenes in the Dark Knight Rises
nothing beats this trilogy
A father's love.
1:42
my family walking in my room when im wasted giving me "the talk"
Hans Zimmer music makes this 10 times better. It fits every scene perfectly.
Christopher Nolan's directing is out of this world imo... People would notice how Michael Caine and Bale nailed the scene here, but there are subtle audio differences between Bale and Caine when it comes to the serious scene. People won't notice it consciously, but it certainly set the mood to the scene.
Alfred here is like that father who.. actually cares..
Honestly what caines Alfred is to the Nolan trilogy a father to Bruce
Alfred is like a father figure for Bruce in this scene. Providing direction for a lost soul.
1:14 is me in a nutshell
OhHiMark I hoped you’ll find someone what you’re looking for. There’s still time.
Same
Same we know those feels
Feel like Alfred talking to me
This is like me; I don’t want to be in the outside world with people, Because civilization made a outcast because they abandoned me and broke my heart. So I don’t even bother anymore. This scene just showed me that.
Bruce wayne is truly lucky to have Alfred for him even though he is not a kid anymore !
"You're just waiting, hoping for things to go bad again."
Yeah Alfred, I am. It's familiar.
This movie only gets better.
Feel this more than ever now. And we still have to go on living and not give up.
Batman had a happy ending and that’s why it’s one of the best batman stories out there.
This was me every time when summer was over and I had to go to school.
After seeing Trilogy I can proudly announce
Alfred as an immortal. 🙏🙏
This scene matters to me much....thanks for sharing this here brother.
Alfred is more than anyone can expect in life, perhaps more than parents and life partner..kind of person everyone needs in life
after you watching this movie, only question one ask when life would come back...it move like moved for Bruce at end of film...not asking much from life I suppose
Scene hits home. Kind of like the speech Ben Affleck gave Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting
Alfred MVP
He really is the worlds greatest detective, Sherlock Holmes 🕵️♂️
Anybody get the reference?
Damn that really got me when he said “Alfred I did find someone” we all got that someone!
I love this scene.
That's how I feel sometimes, a lot like Bruce.
I hope this scene doesn't emotionally relate to you, at all. If it does, I'd know you had lost something or someone so deeply dear to your heart. I'll probably come back here years later, having gotten over all of it. For most that is the good part except for me
Finest joke in Dark Knight Rises 1:10
Bruce Wayne is a man destined to be alone.
He should have said "Mastah Wayne, there are plenty of Tangerines in the fruit basket of life."
Alfred was talking about selina kyle cause she looked like a match . Cat + Bat .
I highly doubt it. All Alfred knows of her at that point is she stole a necklace and is a criminal. Why would he say Bruce get with her! Of course he’s just saying he wants Bruce to find someone in general, there’s no reason why he would be talking about Selina at this point in the movie.
Alfred: "You two should exchange note over coffee".
They will do Alfred. They will.
Basically the batcave is my gaming room dark loud sounds and a computer
At the start of quarantine I didn’t get out of bed in the morning and my mom went up to me and wanted to take me hiking and I said no and she said “you really gave up didn’t you” it reminded me of this scene
Great scene, great writing. Three great movies.
I realised, Alfred never aged.
This scene is so intense it made my eyes sweat a lil
I feel the same way. Nothing out there for me
Pretty underrated movie
the music for this seen is so melancholic
Magic of Christopher Nolan.
Batman was so lost without Alfred
best movie ever
Bruce turned into the Batman. He wasn't able to go back to before
Alfred not wanting Bruce coming back to Gotham is something I wished my father would tell me.
