Fieldwork921. Kyoto, Matsuo Taisha Shinko Festival HD 1080p

Third Sunday of April. I went to the Shinko Festival held at Matsuo Taisha Shrine in Kyoto City. The fourth big mikoshi takes to the streets, and then crosses the Katsura River by boat. Then, he wanders around the city again and heads to Otabisho. The mikoshi is a shrine with a god riding on it. It is a festival where the gods come to town.
