Paul Walker’s death was devastating. All I could think about when he died was his best friend (his daughter, his father crying and his family.) His best friend who Costarred in the movie “Into The Blue” - when they first moved to California they slept on each other’s sofa’s in-between acting roles etc. ...they were best friends to the day Paul Walker died. I often think about the well-being of his best friend. You can see the difference in-him, in the shows he recorded (from before) after Paul’s death...loss... I don’t know how to explain it but I can see it, even feel it...pain... 🪴🌵💜🎶 Wow You taking great care & they are growing fast & beautiful! Peace&Respect, Shelley
This was actually beautiful. Thank you Dr. Grande. I had the honor of meeting Paul in 2011, and he really was as u described . one of the kindest, most humble people I’ve ever met. May he Rest In Peace♥️🙏🏽
I think people loved Walker because he felt authentic. The drama around loyalty to friends vs. the law came off in the Fast and Furious films because Walker probably was that kind of person in his actual life. He seemed more faithful to emotional connections and passions than to rules. People often are drawn to this sort of energy. He makes me think of David Bowie. People loved him for his authenticity so much that they kind of ignored his moral failings and irresponsibility. Bowie survived his reckless youth as a rock star to turn into a well adjusted artist, it is sad to know that Walker's thrill seeking cut his life short before that could happen for him.
David Bowie tried reinventing himself every few years, each in a completely opposite direction. He was a fantastic songwriter and entertainer, but “authentic” doesn’t come to mind. He altered himself superficially into whatever he needed to be at a given time.
@@redram5150 that was just artistic expression, I was referring more to how he lived his life. His art was chameleon like, but not necessarily how he interacted with people. Being a chameleon was not the vibe he gave off, because characters he played were just that, characters. He put on a new character like Walker might step into a new race car. Personas were simply a way to express an openness to new experience. It might be odd that I make the connection between the two people, but I was thinking of how Bowie was a lover, someone who got into knife fights with his friends, was impulsive, open to experience, and often went against the rules of society. Bowie escaped his impulsive behavior.
Unfortunately Paul Walker ignored the obvious answer to the question: "What's the worst that could happen?" A sad and unnecessary tragedy. Thank you Dr.Grande for your psychological analysis.
I am not going to lie, I have had to re watch videos as I’m THAT distracted by the plants. Indoor plants have been my lift this lockdown, and suddenly everywhere I look there’s more plants.. (kind of when you fall pregnant and suddenly notice other people are all around you) I was so chuffed the first time he brought life onto his filming area I stopped to comment. He’s soo good 😎🌱x
Hi Dr. Grande, this still makes me cry. I remember hearing about his death, I was at my friend Stephanie's house having pizza when she told me, it was awful. I did meet him once when I worked at The Olive Garden in the small Canadian city of Winnipeg Manitoba. It was summertime and he was there shooting a movie. I was shocked to see him and I knew it was him right away. I told him he looked a lot like Paul Walker and he said "I get that all the time." and smiled. That smile of his shines brighter than the sun and I'll always remember it. We was a beautiful man and a beautiful person, I love him.
Your comment regarding people not paying attention to tires because it may boring reminded me of a mattress salesmen that said “People always spend so much money on the dresser but go super cheap on the mattress.”
I'm friends with his cousin, Aunya (not her real name). She was devastated when Paul was killed. She is in each of the first 7 F & F franchise movies. She has an amazing sport car collection of her own. She said that Paul was generous to a fault and was dedicated to his daughter and family as a whole. From the way she spoke of Paul, he was a humble, loving and charitable man. He was also genuine and unpretentious. I'd never gotten to meet him. Aunya now is attending a university pursuing a career in medicine. She is dedicated to Paul's legacy. Thank you for the analysis of a good human being who was taken too soon.
I have to be honest here, I am little disappointed that you failed to mention that many of his relationships were with young girls, specifically his girlfriend at the the time of his death. He started dating her when she was 16 and he 33. I think this is something that is very hard to overlook, and frankly tarnishes any positive attributes he may have had for me. Love your videos but wish this had been at least mentioned.
Too much ego, not enough sense. It was sad, but even beautiful people have to die. It was ironic that someone so physically beautiful was beyond recognition in death, though. Sad, sad, sad.
Can you make a video on chronic pain and and all that entails. Pain is so hard on all aspects of life. I'm a happy person when I'm not hurting. With war on opiods, no one, not even pain doctors are willing to help pain patients.
I know. I hope he does one on chronic pain. It can really change your personality. He seems to be focusing on celebrities, influencers, and current scandals, lately. Not like his earlier videos.
Thanks for reminding everyone to stay safe while telling this sad story about 2 young people with a bright future who died in a dramatic accidental way. Many people in their 20's tend more towards higher risk taking while taking their strength and agility for granted. Some young people who are on the high agreeable side have more trouble with enjoying popularity that includes crushes on them. When it comes to being prone to being irresponsible with money Paul Walker was not all that much different than Winston Churchill who tended to have the same fault in being close to financial ruin most of his life. I don't fault Paul Walker for agreeing to go for a ride in a fast car with Roger Rodas driving who was a successful before his accidental death race car driver. Hard to know what to do when someone is already acting careless. If you tell them to stop after they already started being careless they might get startled, make a terrible mistake while being startled, or just turn out to be an arrogant person who sees it as a challenge to go faster instead.
Dear Dr. Grande, I really enjoyed your analysis of Paul Walker. I think you have a special gift to sift through all facts and present them in a thoughtful way, e.g., you present your insights in a very neutral and natural light that people of all ages can easily understand and comprehend. Thank you, again, I always learn a lot from you :)
Dr. Grande, would you be interested in analyzing the "Superman curse" ? Up until you mentioned it, I had never thought about it. But I would like to hear your thoughts on it.
I appreciate your respect for the vehicles Grande! My husband and friends tell me I’m a weirdo for listening to you when I do my makeup, chores, mindless items. But I honestly find your delivery so calming that even the disturbing stuff feels cool. And always fascinating
The car had ORIGINAL tires that were hard as a rock. tires time out and get hard and do not grip. ON the Carrera GT many times the original tires are kept on to keep the car all original and preserve resale value.
Not only did they know what they were going to do, but speeding was the expectation. I'm so glad Dr Grande put it that way because no one else has had the guts to.
He was raised Mormon. Possible he was a bit rebellious as a result, but fundamentally he was a good person with good values. He never seemed arrogant, he seemed very kind, humble, and authentic. Adrenaline junkies sometimes have short lives, they take too many serious risks. It is really sad, he was so young still, and such a promising actor. Strange death, somehow fated. Reminds me also of James Dean. Nice review, Dr. Grande.
Thank you for another interesting analysis . I was aware of Mr. Walker, although I don’t believe I ever saw one of his movies. I don’t say that as a put down to the actor. I always learn something in viewing your videos and enjoy your ability to look at the subject matter in a way that is left out in the quick 3 minute ( if we are lucky) main stream media ratings endeavors. Your knowledge of the physical world is a definite plus in your analysis and is a large part of your popularity , along with your skills as a therapist and counselor. Your presentation is also excellent. Best.
Dr. G! I get goosebumps when you talk about cars! I always really liked Paul Walker and I felt awful about that accident! It sounds from your description that he may have had ADHD to some degree! Thanks for this thoughtful analysis! 💜
Exactly what I was thinking! Dr. Russell Barkley has a great talk on how undiagnosed and/or untreated ADHD is a public health emergency. Just one example he shares is how high the risk of a fatal car accident is for someone untreated.
I hope the plants are behaving themselves and are playing nicely! Dr Grande "Today I've been asked to analyse Zappa Wench. She seems to be delusional and believes that plants have relationship issues and like to play together..."
Wow. I most definitely had a complete picture of who Paul walker was before this video. Another superb examination and analysis of a pop culture icon on the bag for the Dr.
Great analysis! The point about the tires is spot on. Fast cars; one I had, replacing only back tires caused the car to drift sideways out of control. I had to go right back to the shop and buy 2 new ones for the front. That said, the driver was a professional race car driver. You would think he would confine his risks to the track, where there are constant reminders that cars lose grip. God just took these 2 guys.
I missed getting on you tube and on your channel the day this was posted. :( This was amazing, Dr. Grande- the way you covered his story and personality was so well put together!! SO loved the way you said "Pampers" 😊
Thank you, Dr. Grande for this analysis. I really did like Paul Walker, but he never grew up to be the man I think he wanted to be. People do tend to overlook the tires on a car. I would never get into a cruising car with 9 year old tires, much less a race car that I intended to drive at high speeds! As an aside, I miss the big floor plant! I hope he is just taking a break and will come back to join the others.
More of good content. I've said it before but I really like it that you explain the case and then go to analysis. I like true crime and such but those channels are like " you know whats going on(propably) here is the analysys of the fifth court case". No normal human has time for googling all that information. So I appreciate your videos. You always provide all informaition and I'm satisfied.
Great analysis as per.. Despite not knowing who he was as an actor, your description of the blonde hair , blue eyes (swoon) for me anyway lol.. was exactly my fleeting view of him.. Thanks for putting me straight and your balanced , truthful perception 😊x
I enjoyed hearing Dr. Grande saying the name of my home town. Santa Clarita used to be a small town - but I guess it's not any more. With regards to his personality - some people just enjoy fighting, he probably didn't fight people out of a desire to hurt anyone, but just for enjoyment and thrills.
Wow, I did not know the tires were 9 years old with 3,500 miles on them. That is an interesting fact and provides some great insight into the accident. I have not had that experience with a car but I had a bike I did not ride for about 5 years and first thing I replaced getting it back into riding condition is the tires.
Another great analysis that each of us can learn from. I learned that the upspoken but always impending corollary of Murphy's law will in the end be invoked. As you pointed out the most basic barrier between life and death in this case was overlooked, the tires. How much more tragic was a similar incident concerning the failure of the tires on the Concorde in 2000. There's a book warning us about pushing our reliance on science and logistics to the point of fragility. Faith in Christ may at least save us from sinning against humility and thereby becoming more and more arrogant in our assumed knowledge.
Thank you, Dr. Grande. I always learn something in each of your videos. Would you consider analyzing the Brooke Skylar Richardson case? That one always puzzles me.
My brother was a huge fan Walker and I remember he was devastated by his death. Such a tragedy that truly didn't need to happen. And honestly after this video and seeing how much Dr. Grande seems to know about racing and cars, I'm even more interested in an analysis of Ayrton Senna. I think the video would be truly fascinating. Thanks for your content as always
Dr. Grande, another excellent analysis, like always! You really know how and when to change the tone whith each theme you cover. Very thorough and clear and loved the conclusion of the video as well. Thanks again!
I never really care for celebrities. But Paul was very different then most after i watched his first Fast And The Furious movie. I know nothing about him until his passing. To me Paul he was a free spirit with genuine heart. What I love about him. R.I.P Paul. Dr Grande you're so correct about him. I know I'm a little late for the party lol. Thank you.
I'm not gonna lie, I have no idea how I'm still alive now that I look back at my early 20's. I was beyond reckless and lived for the moment. The birth of my daughter at 24 literally saved my life. It stopped being about my enjoyment, and became about her happiness and health, mentally and physically.
Holy crap, thanks for the tire fact... I had no idea that was a factor in the accident. It's just shocking a professional driver wouldn't consider 9 year old tires as a serious liability since most drivers appreciate "warming up tires", the effect of tread, rubber pliability etc. I can't imagine this didn't play a serious role in the accident, how unfortunate.
My father worked with Paul Walker at the post of a location manager when Paul was filming in the Czech Republic. He met many famous actors over his career like Tom Cruise, Anthony Hopkins, Milla Jovovich (who gave me her sword from Joan of Arc haha)... But to this the day the best time he have had was with Paul Walker. It didn't matter if they were working, chatting or drinking... With Paul it was impossible to have a bad time.
BRILLIANT thank you Dr Todd Grande, this was insightful, thoughtful, sensitive and also funny as hell. 'a thrill-seeker with money is like a stick of dynamite dancing with matches'. YES spot on
Dr Grande is flexing his car knowledge muscles in this video! I drive an old Ford Exploder myself - oops, I mean Explorer! Lol! Guess I’m a hopeless thrill seeker 🤣
Great content! I've said this before but I like the analogies used. I was raised in a way that gave me a curious mind, I wish I could speak with you as I have many questions. Thanks for the work you put into this!
had no idea that this was the way the accident took place. pretty irresponsible to go at such high speed in a 45mph limit area. could´ve killed an innocent bystander or passenger from another car.
As always Dr. Grande, spot on analysis. Always enjoy your videos. I wanted to put in a request, and hoping that one of these days you break down River Phoenix's life.
My children grew up with the F & F franchise...now my grandchildren are fans. When my daughter and I travelled to the States in 2015 we visited his death site. I know that seems rather ghoulish but we couldn't head home to Australia without standing at that sad spot for a while...we all loved him.
Yep, that’s why we love Dr. G...he’s honest :) I liked Paul Walker but agree with Dr. Grande. He was a decent actor and had the potential to be great but wasn’t quite there yet.
@@HiddenHandMedia I dunno Paul wasn’t a bad actor at all. He was in a movie with TI and Chris Brown called “Takers” and next to those two I could see that Paul did actually take acting classes and work at his acting. He never over acted and was pretty subtle- he didn’t fidget or react when he wasn’t speaking, and he could handle being watched without getting uncomfortable. These are the basics of acting but it takes some actors a really long time to get it right- Jared Padaleki from Supernatural still doesn’t have them down and he’s been on tv for 20 years.
@@TheWrestlingful It’s okay, Paul Walker was a character actor- meaning he plays the same actor in every film because of his appearance. In Takers he actually played a bad guy though. I think Paul was a good actor, just next to TI and Chris (who think they are great actors lol) I could notice all the finer details of Paul’s acting. I personally don’t find Robert Deniro that great, he is a character actor also. Many of the big names I think are very over rated and just get roles all the time with the same people. I think Daniel Day Lewis and Val Kilmer are great actors, Paul was a solid actor and was a very good leading man. Dependable performances- even that corny Christmas movie Paul was in he said the lines very convincingly.
Big Buddy aka the big plant is still gone. And another interloper has joined the little plants. My head is spinning. As always another great video. Great color shirt.
I agree 100% with this doctor. Everyone knows that I was a huge Paul Walker fan but in watching the Paul Walker story and realizing that he basically was so disrespectful to date and underage girl and having a relationship with her when she was considered a child and driving so recklessly by himself or with a person like his friend that had no respect for other human life on the road I really feel nothing more for him but disrespect and that he kind of got what he deserved in the end because of his lifestyle being so careless, selfish and reckless. It's very sad to see what's becoming his daughter as she is a thrill seeker as far as Fame and will show her body parts even to try to get likes. Any man that looks at her as anything but a very sick young woman that has some sort of eating disorder as she looks like a skeleton embarrass her body thinking it's beautiful no she has serious mental and physical health issues and should be hospitalized before she dies of being undernourished. I have seen pictures of kids in Africa look more healthy than Paul Walker's daughter. The family needs to step in especially since Paul Walker was such a horrible father and didn't give her much attention in life and put her in a hospital and set her straight before she follows The reckless pattern that her father did
Running Scared was actually a pretty good movie. It’s definitely worth a watch if you’ve never seen it’s got some really good action scenes and a really good cast of actors.
This balanced review of Paul Walker's life is both insightful and informative. A cautious weighing of his authenticity against the dangers he did not seem to understand or chose to ignore. Genuine respect for a well made manual transmission sports car. Love the control!😌
I have an issue with a person his age dating a 19 year old. She was almost a child. It's creepy. There is no way the mental or emotional maturity will ever be equal. And what is her motivation? I just feel that anyone in a relationship with this kind of age gap are in search of something that they have lost or are losing and not necessarily a natural attraction.
What happened to Paul was truly tragic. He seemed like a really open hearted person. He did a lot of good with his charity that helped disaster survivors around the world. He always had a smile. His daughter I'm sure misses him like crazy.
His voice is so soothing. I suspect that even hearing very bad news would be less traumatic if it was coming from Dr. Grande.

Wow. Presented with insightfulness and sincerity. Could have been a eulogy.
This was actually beautiful. Thank you Dr. Grande. I had the honor of meeting Paul in 2011, and he really was as u described . one of the kindest, most humble people I’ve ever met. May he Rest In Peace♥️🙏🏽
Yeah, my beautiful sister Darcy, age 22 also died in a horrible car accident on August 12, 1978, at the hands of another driver. never get over it.
@@redram5150 A certain kind of chameleon.
@@IndieAuthorX I would like to see Dr Grande do an analysis of the life and personality of David Bowie
Unfortunately Paul Walker ignored the obvious answer to the question: "What's the worst that could happen?" A sad and unnecessary tragedy. Thank you Dr.Grande for your psychological analysis.
But then again that's the thing about speed, isn't it? Things just happen so fast. Who's to know? Not to defend it.
That little desk and those plants are making my night.🤗and like always great videooooo Dr G
I am not going to lie, I have had to re watch videos as I’m THAT distracted by the plants. Indoor plants have been my lift this lockdown, and suddenly everywhere I look there’s more plants.. (kind of when you fall pregnant and suddenly notice other people are all around you)
I was so chuffed the first time he brought life onto his filming area I stopped to comment. He’s soo good 😎🌱x
Is there a new cacti hiding in the back?! 🌵
Is she older than the sixteen year old girls he preferred?
I was hoping that Dr. Grande was going to talk about how Walker started dating a 16-year-old girl when he was 33
Oh, but wouldn't you now. Don't do it. Why ruin a good thing? Three thumbs up.
I love it when Dr. Grande shows us his inner fanboy. Doesn't compromise any other part of him!
I'm at an impasse. I judge anyone who could bear to watch Fast & Furious and now I've learned that my favorite thinker and UA-camr enjoys the series.
Too much ego, not enough sense. It was sad, but even beautiful people have to die. It was ironic that someone so physically beautiful was beyond recognition in death, though. Sad, sad, sad.
I'd really be interested in an analysis of the writer Franz Kafka.
now that would be interesting (no roaches though, please, leave that to Biden)
Yes!!!
@@cynthiaschell7246 I don't get what you mean about Biden. I do get the reference to Kafka.
Will you do a video on Dr. Jack Kevorkian
10 months later. I missed this one! Loved your take. Realistic, respectful, kind. I also concur... The voice makes it. Thanks doc!
When I was a teen I had mad crushes on Paul Walker and Heath Ledger. I still get sad thinking of them. 💕
Get 'em quick before they're gone!
There how I feel about River Phoenix and Corey Haim
That's how I feel about Johnny Depp. :)
The car had ORIGINAL tires that were hard as a rock. tires time out and get hard and do not grip. ON the Carrera GT many times the original tires are kept on to keep the car all original and preserve resale value.
That's WHY these guys buy it in these cars: cuz they assume the car is perfect.
Not only did they know what they were going to do, but speeding was the expectation. I'm so glad Dr Grande put it that way because no one else has had the guts to.
I love Paul Walker! Thank you Dr. G! ❤️🛼🥰
This is absolutely one of your best videos to date. Well done all around 👍
Grande.
Dr. G. - always fast but never furious (at least not in the vids 😁 )
I was thinking that he sounded like he had symptoms of adult ADHD
I hope the plants are behaving themselves and are playing nicely!
Dr Grande "Today I've been asked to analyse Zappa Wench. She seems to be delusional and believes that plants have relationship issues and like to play together..."
His face was a work of art. Tragic.
Wow. I most definitely had a complete picture of who Paul walker was before this video. Another superb examination and analysis of a pop culture icon on the bag for the Dr.
There's no question.. I hit the 'like' button first.
As always, you are amazing Dr Grande! Thanks a lot for your analysis.♥
This was amazing, Dr. Grande- the way you covered his story and personality was so well put together!!
SO loved the way you said "Pampers" 😊
I’ve driven several Porsche Carrera GT, they were horrible cars. Very very easy to get loose and crash. Tragic death in any case.
Great analysis
Even the hot wheels version couldn't stay on the orange loop track.
@@MrDpbazan1955 lol
I literally only came here for this beautiful guy Paul Walker ! RIP he was a good soul.
Love your analysis on this one Dr G! You're videos have become the highlight of my day! Thank you for all your time and effort!💙💙

Hello from Sao Paulo, Brazil
I never really care for celebrities. But Paul was very different then most after i watched his first Fast And The Furious movie. I know nothing about him until his passing. To me Paul he was a free spirit with genuine heart. What I love about him. R.I.P Paul. Dr Grande you're so correct about him. I know I'm a little late for the party lol. Thank you.
What an endearing and lovely tribute - and honest analysis - of a public figure. A lot of stars are simply that! Thank you Dr. grande :)
Dr Todd thank you very much. I love the way talk, smooth and structured delivery. Keep on with the great work!.
I'm not gonna lie, I have no idea how I'm still alive now that I look back at my early 20's. I was beyond reckless and lived for the moment. The birth of my daughter at 24 literally saved my life. It stopped being about my enjoyment, and became about her happiness and health, mentally and physically.
Same here,I was reckless from 15 all the way to 30 when I had my daughter. She changed my life for the better and haven’t looked back.
Smart here 😂😂
Do you have any audiobooks? I like your calm voice.
My notification worked, Yay :))
Love these analyses greatly. You should do an episode on Bam Margera. Pretty one of a kind case.
Lol! Guess I’m a hopeless thrill seeker 🤣

had no idea that this was the way the accident took place. pretty irresponsible to go at such high speed in a 45mph limit area. could´ve killed an innocent bystander or passenger from another car.
Thank you again for another great video. Love to you Dr. Grande 💙
"He was a satisfactory actor." 🤣😂
Yep, that’s why we love Dr. G...he’s honest :)
I liked Paul Walker but agree with Dr.
The family needs to step in especially since Paul Walker was such a horrible father and didn't give her much attention in life and put her in a hospital and set her straight before she follows The reckless pattern that her father did
This is EXACTLY the eulogy Dr. Grande, would've given at that funeral.
Tyres are your connection to the road, I'd say they're the most important thing on the car, great vid once again Dr grande.
I didn't know much about Paul Walker except for his tragic death. I very much enjoyed your analysis of his life
I have an issue with a person his age dating a 19 year old. She was almost a child. It's creepy. There is no way the mental or emotional maturity will ever be equal. And what is her motivation? I just feel that anyone in a relationship with this kind of age gap are in search of something that they have lost or are losing and not necessarily a natural attraction.
Ahh good to see you again , Doctor! 🥰♥️
What happened to Paul was truly tragic. He seemed like a really open hearted person. He did a lot of good with his charity that helped disaster survivors around the world. He always had a smile. His daughter I'm sure misses him like crazy.
I didn't know most of what you covered here. It was interesting. Could you do one on H.H. Holmes, the con man and murderer? It's a great story! 😁
