can we appreciate this guys ability to explain his process in a way thats so easily understandable yet it shows the years of experience that he has? its like he was born to do this
thanks for sharing the struggle! this channel has inspired me to move to a dfferent part of my country where there's more nature, beaches, lakes etc. just watching his vids calms me down, now I' ve gotta get outdoors as much! better than any meds for depression!
When he said jewels...and that knife came down, I thought for a horrific moment he was using slang to describe the reproductive organ of the fish 🐟🤣 And before that he said "I know and imagine that I look like a smooshed avocado 🥑. Can'thelp it I just woke up." LOL 😆
He does keep fish alive too long, sometimes. If you know you're gonna throw it back then definitely hang onto it and have a quick talk about the fish then let it go. But if you know it's going to be dinner then it really doesn't need to be sitting there suffocating for ten fucking minutes.
Hey Mate, I absolutely drawn to your enthusiasm in everything you do. To be honest you have got me of the lounge with your positive outlook. Thank you for what you do. Love catch up one day to do a fish together I’m live in Mandurah. WA Regards Matt Somerfield Retired Army Veteran
Thank you for your service. Actually, if you see this reply, could you please fill me in on how you thank someone for their service? Online I always see veterans saying different things. Some say they like it when someone thanks them, others say that they would rather they didn't. What's your experience?
Absolute Dank Thank you very much most veterans appreciate the gesture but we do not seek it , as most of us consider it a privilege to serve our great country and contribute to the security and wellbeing of our brothers and Sisters in Australia and abroad. Thanks again mate
@@andycampbell6032 actually all vertebrates have them and they also aren't bones, their rocks, because they are made of calcium carbonate, as like chalk or limestone. otoliths help the animals' balance, movement, and direction and also can help with hearing sound, so it's like how our inner ears work, but for fish and birds.
Matt, those 'jewels' are called otoliths. And, you can use them to find out the age of fish. Under a microscope you will see rings, just like trees, and you can count the rings to find out the age of the fish.

Hey TD, I'm re-watching the video, Wanted to say Thank's for Sharing your catch, and showing how to get the Otolith out of the fish! Very special stuff interesting! 👍 Super! GBU.,SM.,NZ.! ✌♥️🙂🙏🌊🐟😎
Another great video brother! Ty for your hard work! I used to live near the coast and surf fished all the time. Have got some of my best catches in all that whitewash! BONITO is also an awesome fish if you bleed it out, it will taste like a nice tuna!!!
Hello, I live in the Northern part of the United States. Lake Erie is my backyard we have a fish here called a sheephead and it has what we call stones in it’s head and their is also two in their head. Sheep head stones on the one side of the head has an indent of the letter L. People call them Lucky stones. Just love your videos. Love seeing what the other side of the world is like. Love your enthusiasm. Your the best.
Great vid yet again .Thank you for bringing back memories of my youth in the 70s and early 80s fishing beaches north of Perth. Insane .Thank you again.
Thanks for showing this part of Australia, we have nothing like this in the States. Well nothing that butts up against the ocean. It looks kinda like the great salt flats but beside the ocean. Fish are put here on this earth specifically for us to enjoy and eat. Looks like matching earrings for Mac10, thanks Matt!
I didn't even realize that as well, not until I finished the video and I was scrolling through the comments and see this! 😁 man, this guy's life is fascinating like that.
Awesome Video MATE!!!! Just wanted to say those silver ghosts look a lot like an American redfish. Same body structure and they fight the hardest of any fish. Also the barramundi look a lot like our Snook! Same body structure. Florida is where I am from and we too have sawfish and bull sharks. Your country is awesome and thank you for showing it to the WORLD MATE!!!! You are the real deal dude. Please come to Florida and the gulf states you will not be so disappointed. The freedom you have in WA makes me want to visit and defect to Australia. USA has a lot of no trespassing signs and it all bought up. Your better off staying in remote areas. Too many rules in USA but we try...LOL. Thanks for all you do!!!!!
Absolutely frothing after watching this episode. Those drone shots of you driving were epic! Can’t wait for the next one! I have literally 0 fishing experience but your vids make me wanna learn so bad 😅
God I miss Australia, lived in Melbourne for years. Living in the US now, land locked Midwest. I dream of the ocean and watching your vids gives a tiny taste of home.

I just came here because your latest videos have been a bit low on the catching. I wanted to see you get a big one again, and here I am. You're so lucky, here in South Africa we can keep these fish (we call them Dusky Kob) but they are endangered in our waters, so we tend to release them again. They are farmed here purely for eating, and then they're greenlisted, but man, that's a nice fish. Just beautiful.
Can you do a full tour of your truck? All electronics? Make, model, upgrades you’ve done. What specifically you have in the back. I just want to know and think it would be a great 10 minute video!
i love the ahhhhhh with rock heavy metal song in the back ground and now i will the rest of y video field days haha ps very great job with y 2nd channel
I do not know if you read every one of your comments. But I suggestion. That I think a lot of people would agree with. I think you and Macky should make a calendar? You could have beautiful scenery pictures with you both in the pictures of course or funny pictures each month? I sure would buy one

Do you have house with a shower? Any personal heigene?

Are they in all fish, or just certain kind of fish?
