I feel for you I really do but at the same time it’s encouraging for us novice crafters to know that these things don’t just happen to us.😜. Your card is gorgeous. I love it. Thanks for sharing.
Oh yes we all do silly things or have trouble, my thing seems to be putting my card together ont a card base upside down, so when I go to open it, the opening is at the top! Editing videos is a tool lots of card makers use, I think we all have things happen 💙💚💜
I just came across your channel as UA-cam went to the next video for me. This is the second video I've seen and both cards have been so beautiful! You don't ever need to apologize for leaving in the parts of a video from when things go wrong. Those are the real moments we all deal with (well at least I know I do). I think it is great when paper crafters who make videos show their at least some of the problems they have, because it helps me remember it is just part of this fun hobby we share. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
This card was definitely worth all your struggles! It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! and a Beautiful Work of ART! Thank you so much for sharing. Merry Christmas :)
Hi Helen, thank you so much for carrying on with such a beautiful card. It’s horrid when your tools let you down, and I class tape as a tool because it’s very hard to make cards without it. You have shown how to overcome such difficulties which is so important for new crafters to learn how to do just that. It is us that thank you for all of your cards, time, and talent you have shown us throughout this year. So Thank You for all you have done, and I wish a happy Christmas to you and yours, and a healthy New Year. X Ros
Thank you so much ros. My channel wouldn't exist without wonderful people like you that takes the time to comment and validates the reason for doing it at all. Merry Christmas to you and your family, and best wishes for 2018 💙🎄💛
Thanks for another lovely tutorial (warts and all!:) I also get "those days" when I seem to struggle to get things together, but this is a beautiful card that the recipient will treasure. Blessings for Christmas and the new year xx
I love the card. Just beautiful and it is actually a little encouraging to see that even the experts have difficulties from time to time. Wishing you a very Happy Holiday.
Thank you for all your inspirational cards. I particularly like how you keep it real and keep in the things that need to be fixed. Have a great Christmas and look forward to seeing what you make in the new year :) xxx
Love the card, Helen! It is so pretty! I also appreciate your not editing out the challenges you came across! It happens to all of us so it's nice to see how you dealt with them. I think that is really part of the creative side to this hobby. Not just the design but the execution of putting the design together as well as the troubleshooting. Your videos are always fun to watch and I appreciate your sharing your talents and techniques. Merry Christmas to you and yours! Look forward to seeing you in the New Year!
I'm still pretty new to card making, and I'm always running into one difficulty or another. It actually helps me to see how others overcome their "mistakes". Yoir card is absolutely beautiful ! Watching you blend your background was another great learning moment for me. Thank you for taking the time to post your card !
you all probably dont give a shit but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@Alessandro Josue Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Beautiful card, know you did it last year, but I'm going to do it for 2018, thanks for sharing your talent with us, and even the bloopers, makes us feel we aren't by ourselves when things don't go right.!!!
I love it Helen. It was well worth the wait. Didn't get bored watching it at all but I think I have the same roll of tape as you. At least you're guaranteed that card will not fall apart ;) See always a silver lining and all that. Fabulous card and great to see an honest broadcast, warts and all. It's good for us to see that it happens everyone, it's not just us. Have a wonderful Christmas, you and your family and your gorgeous dog(s). Hope it's filled with warmth, love and laughter and through the oncoming year too.
I learn from my mistakes, fixing them makes me more creative. I think that's may be what make you a wonderful card maker! Have a Great Christmas and the happiest New Year! TFS
Thank you Denise, I think you are right, although with me it is more stubbornness as once I have done a certain amount of work on it, I don't want to throw it away and start again, so yes that's when the creativeness comes in, sequins are a great way to cover up booboos haha. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
I don't like to give up and trash anything either. I make it work! I call myself Mrs. Fix it, not just for card, it make me handy around the house. Take care.
Hi Helen A really lovely card ....am so glad you left in the struggle bit,as we tend to think you never have the kind of glitches we have on a regular basis!!! Really liked how you used your frame dies to make some depth for the scene..a really good tip there. Thanks for this great series of cards leading up to the holidays . Hope you have a wonderful Kiwi Xmas with your family!!!! xx
I put foam tape into 2 categories. 'Crisp' or 'marshmallow'. That first tape was definitely marshmallow! The green backed tape is very expensive but it's so worth it. Your card is beautiful.
If you have trouble with the the sticky tape keep the backing from the normal double sided tape stick this to the back of the foam tape it’s easier to cut and prevents sticking to everything and ruining your scissors .
So pleased i found your channel a couple of months back, i have enjoyed watching your videos and look forward to seeing whats instore for 2018, best wishes to you and yours for the festive season
Thank you Rennie, I think the tree dies were from Aliexpress, just do a search for tree craft dies and you will find them if they are still doing them, the video was 2017, so they might not be. 🎄🎄🎄
Lovely card. I know how you feel about that tape as i had one lot that stuck to me and the scissors. The only place it didnt want to stick to was on the card i was making lol. I threw it out and got some better stuff that was so much easier to work with. Very frustrating.
Thank you Sylvia, yes I have better stuff now, but had found this thinner stuff, I had forgotten I had it, but soon remembered why I hadn't used it for a while LOL. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
Actually I loved all the oops parts. I chuckled out loud with the tape part especially when the frames tried to stick together. Been there done that. The card looked perfect in the end. Tfs.
This is a beautiful card Helen. Have you tried putting your trees etc on with Pinflair silicone glue, you can then vary the heights. love and best wishes for a Peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Christine x
Thank you Christine for your very good suggestion, I do have some of the silicone glue, but I haven't used it enough and has dried up on me, need to get some more, it would have been good to use! Merry Christmas to you
Love this card...so pretty!

Thank you Lesley, that's a good way to look at it, and yes definately marshmallow haha 🎅🎅🎅

Thank you Deborah 💚💜💙
Just beautiful can you throw it in my bin lol
Thank you Norine 🎄🎅🎄
Beautiful card to end your series with. Merry Christmas!
Thank you Amanda and Merry Christmas to you 💛🎄💙
Ja
lovely card
Thank you dawn 🌻🌹🌻
lovely card, I can never get my sentiments to embossed the glitter always runs and I end with a blob
Bunty Bunny I think the answer to stop glitter blogging is to have fairly thick glue, once it's dry it doesn't look blobby. 🎄🎄🎄
I was confused as to what a Squeer die was. Then I realised you meant a Square die. lol. Nice card.
Lol 💛💙💚
I would love to know the brand of die you used for the trees? Beautiful card...
Thank you Rennie, I think the tree dies were from Aliexpress, just do a search for tree craft dies and you will find them if they are still doing them, the video was 2017, so they might not be. 🎄🎄🎄
Watching this in 2021. Lovely card. I know what you mean with foam tape like this, its like trying to get sticky Marshmallow to behave.
Thank you Emily 💙💛💚

Thank you dianne, I like to keep it real!🦋🦋🦋
Great card Helen, that foam tape looked like a real pain tho!
Yeah it was a real pain, its going in the bin! Thanks Helen
Merry Christmas to you
Beautiful if your foamy tape sticks to your scissors wipe them with a baby wipe once the scissors are moist the tape no longer sticks :)
paula thank you for that tip, that will make a difference next time, ☺💚💜💙
you struggled, but it still turned out great! very pretty card :))
Thank you Candace. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
and Merry Christmas to you too!
Really nice card, but i did smile because i have some terrible foam tape and i end up with more on me than the card.
Yes I have too Haha, you can get a bit of a predicament! 💜💙💚
I also enjoyed the music being soft, most tutorial music is played too loud and I have a hard time hearing the instructions or what is being said.
I agree Bettye, I have some awful ones with music blaring! I prefer it soft. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
