He was deemed the prince of folk music and the “voice of the generation” but he wanted to be anything else but that even if he pissed a lot of people in the process. He said it was too much pressure at that time so he switched to playing with a band. And yes, he was a big a**hole. Being a big Bob fan I really feel like Timothee nails how he talked. The scene where he’s confronted for not talking about his past it’s true. In his early days he never talked about his family and said he was from Oklahoma (i think) when he is originally from Minnesota, very strange. He arrived in New York with a new name (he changed it one year earlier when he went to school in Minneapolis) to look for Woody Guthrie who was really sick. So I think it’s going to be interesting how they’re gonna portray this “Complete Unknown” narrative and make it connect to the general audience.
Not a massive fan of Dylan but do respect his contributions to pop culture and music in general. I think he's considered more of a folk artist than a country artist. Edit: I also think he's known for his words more than his voice. I think Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel are like Dylan except they could sing. LOL. Movie looks interesting. My mum was invited with her best friend to go and see Bob Dylan in 1966 (she was 15). She left the concert with her friend before Dylan played because they were only interested in seeing the opening act. She is not a Dylan fan.
