I am 44 y/o and after 8+ years in AZ USA, my hubby proposed the idea that we go home to be with our family in the PH. He is retired military and the truth is he is tired of the politics, the rat race, the outrageous inflation in the US, and he said I am hurting myself giving my all working in health care. After working fulltime as night shifter for years, now I am dealing with several health issues. It is not all about money, good health and being with family are more precious. It took us 8 months since we made the decision to sell the house, get all documents sorted out, sent 100 Balikbayan boxes and even get our 2 pet dogs ready and approved for importation. By the good grace of God, we are almost to the finish line and our departure date is next week. We are thankful and excited and so looking forward to be home in the PH!
Wow.Congrats.yes if you can retire early and you are financially independent.its the best decision I ever made.Good luck to your retirement and be safe.
Wow congrats Jessa! That’s awesome that you will finally get to enjoy life the way we were intended to. Ingat to you and your husband on your next chapter in life! Jake
I grew up in SF, CA for 28 years, moved too many places because of my husband job relocation (IBM), Bangkok, Thailand, Germany, Boulder, Colorado and so on. Now, we live here in AZ too. I worked at Banner Thunderbird, working overnight shift too.
We appreciate this channel. This would help fellow Filipino nurses like us who are planning to spend part of our retirement years in the Philippines. Your new subscriber here in San Diego, California.

Pare thanks for sharing your experience! I’m a blessed Kano married to a Filipina and my goal is to also retire at 55 or earlier from Kaiser as a nurse. The culture and quality of life here in the US is definitely not what it use to be. I appreciate so many things about the PH and plan to spend most if not all of our time there once retired. Sub’ed your channel and will watch for more great content! Ingat, Jake
@@nicholasdeguzman4241 Oh Fontucky? Lol. I use to work for PRN Ambulance and we did CCT transports for Kaiser there in SoCal. Also worked at LAC/USC in LA. for some time.
Brother, you're living the life many of us Fil-Ams and expats are just hoping to live one day. I'm just stacking my chips right now. Bohol will be my target place. We've visited last Feb. and fell in love with the island. Vloggers like you inspire me everyday. Much love brother!
Nice decision. Me too I am retiring soon and go out of stress life here in Canada. Live a simple life is the key. I agree with you. Soon be there in Philippines, just taking care of my medical health which I usually get from my previous job. Thanks for sharing
❤❤ i love this video. im a FNP. i used to work at kaiser irvine as a RN. vested 5 yrs. i totally agree with everything you said. i feel better on deciding to build a smaller rest house for my family. Live a simple comfortable relaxed life 👍🏽👍🏽
Also a nurse here in the US and planning to retire there as soon as possible. Thanks for sharing your experiences and God bless you Brother. Like and subbed.
This is our dream too! Me and husband are both born and raised in Philippines. We experienced living and working at California (Bay Area) which we all know had the most ridiculous living expenses specially rent. Now, we are living in Florida for 7 years and fortunately had bought our house during the year that the rates are the lowest-2020. We do not plan to live here forever. We live simply and teach our child to do the same. We wanted to share our time with PI family and stretch our retirement budget there.
Retired, single RN 10 years now from NYC in Florida and hate it ! prices way up and people here are angry and stressed....I pack a gun now when i go out (concealed carry license) why do I have to do this in my retirement???....crime everywhere. my pension is only 2k/month, i'm 59........been there many times on advice from the pinoys I worked with many years and enjoyed it a lot..........visiting in October for 2 months after 3 years of covid scare, etc....to scout out a place to retire full time next year.
Wow sorry you have to do that.there is no safe place.you just have to know where to go and not to go.there is crime every where.Goodluck to your retirement.be safe😇
Thanks for your inspiring video, greetings from Texas USA... Being a OFW nurse for 20 years and now an immigrant here in US I always wanted one day I can come back and retire in the Philippines... I pray your channel will grow more and more to serve as a motivation to all Global NURSES!!! Good Luck and more videos to come.....
We are in the process of building our house in Bohol. We are very excited about simply laying low from daily grind and rat race. We are trying to save a little bit more and stay healthy.
I totally agree with you. Even here in the U.S. a lot of Nurses competing each other. Who has a big house and nice cars. Very materialistic people. They don't think how hard they work and their future. One nurse working for number of years and retired now she cannot even enjoy her life because she ended up in nursing facility because she had a stroke. She's by herself in the U.S. and if she die the retirement money it will go back to the company. How sad is that? I will be retiring soon to.
@@awbeanseng3533 there is no one size fits all expenses.it depends how much you want to spend. And depends if you want to rent or buy for housing, and what part of the philippines you want to stay at. I made a video about the cost of living here.please watch it. And if you have more question just put a comment.thanks be safe
That's a Filipino mentality that you have to compete with the Jones'. I'm Filipina, a retired Navy Chief as well as a nurse. I don't give a crap what other Filipinos are wearing nor driving nor 6 of my siblings who are highly successful financially...our mother didn't raise us that way.
Congratulations 👏🎉👏. I am with you my friend. Nurses are overworked,we deserve to have a life! The only way to do this is to plan carefully while we are earning our dollars. We have the same way of thinking regarding expenses. My husband and I are retired and planning to retire in the Philippines by October!!!! May I know how old are you? The reason I am asking, because I wish to know what kind of health insurance do you carry to cover USA and PI? Thanks and good luck to you!
I retired at 55 and I am 58 now.I have health insurance just for philippines carehealthplus and philhealth. When I turn 65 I will have kaiser/ medicare.Goodluck
Medicare and medical I think are accepted on JACHO approved Hospital not sure how much % coverage.but Kaiser Permanente only covers emergency cases. You pay first then KP will reimburse you in a certain % not 100%.thats why you got to have phil health ,cash and private insurance here.In case of Emergency. So when I turn 65.I can buy my medicines at Kaiser paying only tbe copay.then my sons will mail it here in PI.😇
@@nicholasdeguzman4241 do you still carry a kaiser insurance in addition to phil health while in the Philippines? may i know your monthly premium for care health plus?

RN for 30 y in Canada. Visiting in Pinas. To live here, you need to accept the negative side and positive side. Currently am still working FT in management position. You can stretch the dollar here, but know what truly makes you happy, and the definition of happiness is different for everyone. Yes, money is not everything, but it certainly makes life easier.
Your right, the dollar goes a long way here in the Philippines. Retired 2yrs ago with wife and two girls now going to college here in Manila. I can get anything here, Im love the mornings waking up smelling the coffee and getting fresh bake goods at our local bakery.
I liked it when you said “Don’t keep up with the Joneses”, a lot of pinoys are like that, it’s the culture which could ruin their retirement savings(not unless they are healthy and super rich). Kaiser RN here too, but still can’t get use to the weather , traffic and crowded places in pinas Yet! I love my life here in USA but looking forward to retiring in pinas(husband’s idea) Happy for you that you found your dream life in Philippines. Have a blessed life!
It’s nice to retire where one feel like it. You’re a retired Kaiser RN, you are well off and can have choices. I have been going to different islands in the Phil scouting a place to maybe buy and have a vacay house there. I figure I’d be there for 3 months out of the year. Staying here in Southern California is comfortable and convenient . I enjoyed staying in Airbnb in different islands so now I think it’s better to rent there in the Phil than buy since it will cost me $500./mo to maintain a house there while I’m here in California.
i wish my family can come at the same decision you made. There are risks involved but the positives are overwhelming for settling back to the Philippines if and when you decide to retire.
Thanks brother, I just wanna put in the record that I’m your 28’s subscriber. Please do more contents like this, I’m an ofw as well and looking forward of retirement in the Philippines.
Congratulations on retirement. Do y'all have kids? If you do, did they adjust well? I didn't know Kaiser had a pension plan. I would've moved to Cali and worked for them years ago if I knew that.
Yes we have to boys.they have their own lives.doing well in Cali. And yes they adjusted they know my plan even when they were little. They call us via instagram everyweek.Be safe😇
I'm turning 50 in September, just recently hit me thinking what's my plan in my retirement. Then suddenly i had this idea to retire in the Philippines in my 60 years old, well it's me and my wife's idea. I think we're gonna be ok with saving, my superannuation like $01k in America, my investments, and pension. Well I'm not gonna receive pension until I turn 67 but, I'm sure well be fine. Planning to buy a house and a SUV that's it. Hopefully everything goes well, and will make Vlogs. They say time in the Philippines is slow, so that's good I'll have plenty of time to kill. I'm excited!
We have the same MINDSET. As a nurse myself. Hopefully, with the grace of GOD. I will be financially independent at the age of 45 yrs old. God bless you and your family ❤ Plan to retire EARLY in the Philippines 🇵🇭 its not PERFECT but i just want to have a peaceful and stress free life. USA is not PERFECT either.
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 I too am a (male) registered nurse here in the U.S. I worked in a large trauma/medical center for over 27 years. I am semi retired now, but when the time comes when I fully retire, my wife and I will remain here in America because this is home to us. America is where our 2 now adult children and our 3 grandchildren were born. We made so much memories here so we don’t want to break our family bond by moving to the Philippines. And we love America, it gave us lots of opportunities that we wouldn’t have otherwise had we remained in the Philippines. Our adopted country provided us a comfortable and a lovely life. It is not perfect but I am so happy to be here and I am very thankful and appreciative to be an American. I wish you all a happy retirement wherever you decide to live in your sunset life. 🏖️🏖️🏖️
My whole family worked for Kaiser. My mother was a retired Registered Nurse from Kaiser Permanente in Hayward, California. My sister just retired too as an OR Registered Nurse, 36 years at Kaiser Permanente in San Leandro, CA. I worked in the Pharmacy at Kaiser Permanente, Pleasanton and Boulder, Colorado. My parents has a condo at Vivere in Alabang. We don't use it too much. I cannot retire in the Philippines, because medication I am taking may not be available in the Philippines, and if it is available, it will be too expensive.
im from Germany n planning to retire there too in Phils. My big question is how is your medical insurance there sa atin. Here in Germany we got it all free. Most of those who retired there are coming back here when they got serious health issues already bec of the insurances. Thanks for your video. Very encouraging.
Thanks for your question.Health insurance are purchase here base on the amount oof coverage you want.from 50k to 10 milllion.the higher the coverage the higher you pay on premium.when retire here just get a basic health insurance.and have cash to pay for more serious illness hospitalization.doctors visit dental visit are like 10 to 25 dollars.medicine is cheaper.
you mean po bumili ka ng private health insurance sa pinas? not including pa po yun sa amerika nio na private i surance for health?@nicholasdeguzman4241

It’s too hot over here. Can’t enjoy to go outside due to severe heat and humidity. Traffic is horrendous. Meralco , water, and food are expensive. Drivers are always in a hurry. 51 here im waiting just to finished my mortgage this year at mag retire na ako Too tired to work two jobs everyday… Too much. Salamat sa Mga inspiring comments and vlogs.
Hi, a new subbie of your channel. I'm just amazed I can relate partly with your experience and lifestyle choice-- retiring back in Ph early. It's nice to know it's not me alone thinking and planning of life this way. Some of my family members thought I'm kinda crazy. I will be leaving my job and returning to the Philippines. One thing, there is no place like home! I would love to establish my life back in the Philippines way before my retirement age...before i'm too old, with crumbling knees to enjoy life. I'm 56 and retirement age here is 67--- that's long way tormenting, just the thought of the years gave me the cringe. I have no joy permanently working on regimental work pattern for a company that makes themselves rich while I'm a glorified slave of the company. I hate the rat race and the cold weather too. I don't like winters. I love gardening -- just crazy with collecting plants. I love garden blooms. Actually I'm a mad one in terms of gardening...I'm obsessive. This is when the utter frustration starts when cold weather esp when jack frost kicks in, most annual summer varieties of blooms will die out and gone. I have many collection of plants through the years, but I lost many of them too. In the Philippines, that's not the case. Plants thrive there as long as they're taken care of, climatic seasonal changes isn't a big issue. My children are now adults, one will soon tie the knot and both are out of the nest, with promising careers. My plan is to come back to the Philippines and live there for good before retirement age. Possibly be back visiting my second home country 3 months in a year or so and return back to the Philippines. It's hard being away from my children, but I like living in the Philippines. I felt I will live longer for more years added to my life span if I'm living in the Philippines than living in the west. The house mortgage already paid off few years ago, but I'm not selling my house. I'll be renting out this house while I'm living in the Philippines. Although, I inherited from my parents better location property for business, but I also bought for myself few properties couple of decades ago, which I believe (God willing) can sustain me for a shift of income generation should I decide to come back to Ph much earlier.
Thanks for your comment.yes if you can get out early from the rat race.do it.just do the planning the way you want to live.you will be happy.like ours is simple but comfortable.the goal is to maintain the lifestyle you have before retirement .and dont expect US standard in PI.Goodluck be safe 😇

I also am moving/retiring in the Philippines; I'm moving mid-next year. I made a promise to myself that I'll turn 50 overthere. I don't want to buy any property or own anything big. I just want to rent an apt. in a decent area where it still has some of the lifestyle that I'm accustomed to & travel as well. Manila could be my hub to see other Asian countries-Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, etc. And since I love diving, I'll be in the right area for that type of activity. Good luck to me & individuals like me. I do have a question, what area is that you're doing your vlog at & is it for rent? If so, can I have the info for that place? Thanks.

Good morning. I'm a new subscriber. Like you I worked in Healthcare but had retired. Thinking of retiring in P.I. Our main concern is health insurance.
2 ways to deal with health care in the philippines.one is cash payment as needed.or you purchase an HMO with a certain amount of coverage. With Us we have a HMO and Philhealth plus Emergency health fund aside.Goodluck.
retired last year at 55 also, as a physician. my son is just starting college in our state. i haven't really thought of retiring in the Philippines. i used to say mainly because of the high crime rate but it is just getting bad where we live also. i always go with the example of the abu sayyaf kidnapping a subsistence fisherman for ransom during the burnham years( wala na ngang pera 'yon nakidnap pa, more so if they get wind that you retired from the US). the congestion in metro manila is another thing, 2 hours to go a few kilometers' during rush hour by car, no thank you. the floods, grew up in Valenzuela before it was a city. the places that are really nice are really expensive also such as BGC. clark city looks promising and away from the congestion of metro manila. ideally i could retire in the province but i grew up in metro manila so i don't really have a home province. one thing that i am handicapped with is i don't drive when i am in the philippines. i learned to drive in the US so i haven't had the nerve to drive when i am there. i like the freedom of going whenever and wherever i want without having to hire somebody. what's so bad about eating in the cheaper restaurants, ha ha... honestly, fine dining turns me off with having to wear "nicer" clothes. you nailed it about not getting into politics with other people much as you dislike certain candidates. it's a good rule to follow anywhere. keeping up with the joneses anywhere will always get you in trouble. i have a sister in law who's a nurse and i remember conversations with other filipino nurses centered on what car so and so is driving etc...who cares. visiting is nice but we haven't gone back yet for a visit after retirement. health insurance is certainly the biggest cost to consider with early retirement in the US, so far it costs me my wife and my son $1191 per month , not so bad but we have to get another plan for next year as our current plan is leaving our state. did you retain dual citizenship? i assume you sold any property you had in the states prior to moving. the weakening peso certainly works to your advantage.
Thanks for your comment pare. And congrats on your retirement.retiring here is not for everybody. Even my brother dont even want to visit.life here is good if you accept what the country offer.dollar goes far. Crime is anywhere wherever you are .even in US.when we where in the US somebody broke into our house.you cant escape crime. And yes I sold everything before we move. So I dont have to worry about maintaining or repairs or somenody vandalizing our house in the US.to avoid traffic, you just have to plan driving after and before rush hours.yes we are dual.Goodluck bro.be safe😇
i just learned about reactivating your filipino citizenship for philippine born now american citizens this past year. still not sure about the ins and outs of the process and not sure if we will go that route but it will make the process of buying property there much simpler in case we change our minds.
@Random when I applied for dual.It only took me 1 day.got there at 9am and I did my oath at 3pm.I think now due to pandemic.its by appt. Only.have your PSA issue birth cert. and US passport available.Goodluck bro😇

That's true... retiring in U.S. .. all the money savings you have will be gone in no time.. take that savings in the Philippines will come a long way! as you've said it's stress free! I'm here in Minnesota.. i've decided to retire in my homeland.. I refuse and hesitate to retire early here.. right now I'm still stressing bec. of rushing ..work... life is about work here... which is good but I think it just a dead end when it comes to retirement! You are so lucky kabayan you retired early and healthy. But others who have health issues is not confident of the health care system specifically the expenses . That’s why as much as possible let’s take care of our health , kasi sa probinsya wala naman doon protocol for sepsis, stroke or heart attack pag na admit ka sa mga small hospital, only the tertiary hospitals in the big city do that .
Thanks kabayan.yes most hospital in the province are are not equip and trained.you have to go to the city get better care.but when its your time you cant stop it.even in the US,we are equip but if its time for the patient to expire, they will nobody knows.thanks for the comment.be safe😇
Yes..kabayan, I agree with you pag oras na ng tao kahit bata at healthy kung yun ang nakatakda..walang ligtas 😁 Goodluck kabayan, I'm an RN too (OFW) planning to retire soonest GODwilling 🙏
Aloha from Hawaii Kababayan...I'm already retired and contemplating moving there in Pinas to retire, however, my biggest concern is medical insurance. I currently have 100% medical coverage for me and my wife here so I'm wondering if it would be worthed to make the move and retire there. I also have a question for you. Are you a dual citizen or on a retirement VISA that's why you're able to reside and retire there permanently?
Aloha bro.Insurance is everyones concern. You can buy insurance here but its not the same as Your insurance in US.I made a video about this topic.please watch it.and yes I am dual.Goodluck😇
What insurance do you have? Some insurance will cover international. You will have to pay first, then you send the bills to your insurance for reimbursement. I am retiring in November and I searched for insurance company that will cover globally. I found Kaiser will cover globally. I know someone’s father went home in Cebu and had an emergency brain surgery because of aneurysm. Luckily he has Kaiser. Kaiser sent their representatives to the Philippines to settle his hospital bills. It really depends of what type of insurance you have. Call your health insurance company and find out if they will cover Philippines.
Hi thanks for watching my video and question.short advice is save and invest.save and plan early, like me I started planning 30 years before retiring .save until it hurts.I am not familiar with canada.if you have employer sponsored retirement.make sure you put money there up to their matching.and the rest of the money .invest on a brokerage and Roth.investing on stocks and bonds.depend on your risk tolerance.live with in your means.dont compete with the jones. And if you are really retiring here.start checking the area you want to retire and start investing on your home slowly.Goodluck😇

Mag visit ka muna for a couple of times.stay for a month leave like the way you want when you retire.para alam mo magkano gastos mo per month.everybody is different.Goodluck. and your still young ipon pa ng konti.
What? Sorry but retiring before 50 way too young, not saying you cant, but I hope you are being serious, sayang ang time and money that you have left to make money, but hey if you want to live and have a normal life style sa pinas MAYBE if you retire now you can stretch that money. It might be cheaper in the p.i but money goes fast too over there
Maybe you misunderstood I retired at 55.early retirement.I plan this 30 years ago.if you plan it right it is possible.with our pension and investments it s more than enough to cover our living expenses and we have emergency fund in case health or other emergency. No regrets I am enjoying life in PI.like what I said on my video.its not for everybody.I just want to share my experience Goodluck.😇

Nice bro.I would plan to seek a finacial advisor do a retirement plan and calculation.even just one time.its all about what you want to spend on your retirement.everybody are different.work hard save invest and plan to make sure you are ready.try to visit ilocos for a month or so so you can see and figure out if that is the place for you to settle. Goodluck and God bless😇
If you are a US citizen, you cannot stay there that long without getting tagged. Unless you apply for immigrant visa status to re-acquire, you have to come back to the states and get your passport stamped. Many Pinoys take off coz many are running away from their extensive debts in the US. LOL - You can enjoy the Phils. but not stay there permanently if you are sickly. Few months visit is plenty for us. I enjoy winter hunts here in the US and there is nothing like that in the PHils. It is a fine place to relax there if you have steady income. But life can be harsh there if you do not have cash.
We are dual citizen. We planned our retirement Properly.no debt even when we were in the US.I hate debt.and Philippines is not for everyone.I just want to share my experiences.so people have an idea. All I can say life here is good.no regrets. Goodluck bro😇
@@nicholasdeguzman4241 -sure you can have without debt if you are rich to begin with. You must have bought your home/s cars, and send kids thru colleges all in cash. Impressive! Me and wife are also in healthcare - and prepared our retirement in Phils in increments. We bought 32 hectares of farmlands there to start us out a long time ago. The place is self-sustaining now. We plan to buy more lands before we completely retire. As you get old, you will spend all your savings on hospital bills. And Phils will milk you like a cow before they even treat you. LOL.
@@VigilantEagleVictim good to know about going to Guam for treatment. I was deployed many times to Clark for Cope Thunder back in the mid 80's and worked w/ many from Guam. The Phils. is great place to unwind for months. I like coming back to the states for winter hunting season - I cannot say I will settle in the PHils. for good.
@@VigilantEagleVictim Guarding WalMart w/ all the Demcrat looters now? NO thanks -LOL> I am gonna be farming in the PHils - looks like a nice little hobby to make some cash too. I got less.but worth it.instead of working till 65 dealing with stress and miserable work environment.its all calculated with my planning.thanks for asking.😇
That's partly why you should try to put as much as you can in your 401k so by the time you reach 55 between half your pension and your 401k you're not missing much. The average life span of an American I've seen is anywhere from 79-81. That means at 55 you only have about 25 more years left maybe 30 if you're lucky. And of those years you likely have only about 15-20 years left where you will be healthy enough to do just about anything you want to do. Time gets more precious the older you get so don't let money be your compass once you've reached a certain level of wealth.
How big is your condo? Do you have enough room when your children visit? Did you have any hesitation at all when you decide to retire in the Philippines, knowing that your children and grandchildren are back in the US? This is the reason why we are hesitating.
@@LD-li5zz Hi ,if my children visit.we have sofa bed ready for them.no grand kids yet.and if they need more room its easy to rent another condo unit here.No when I retired there was no hesitation.I was planning this retirement 20 years ago.my kids know long time ago.everytime we visit here I tell them PI is my retirement place. So when the big day came.it was a smooth transition.we have place to stay and everything set.thanks for your question😇
Good for you sir facing realty for some it's very confusing to give up USA cause for the reason that hospitalizations is very expensive in the Philippines but if you have dual citizenship it's worth it you can leave Philippines any day to get operations done or if you have some major medical issue so your not feeling stuck in the Philippines. I would suggest that you choose a rest house in a gated community cause you gonna have problems home invasion, thief's climbing up your fence
Yes its reality.US is so expensive.if you want to talk about healthcare.US is the most expensive. Here in the philippines, hospitalization is expensive but its still a lot cheaper compare to US. With the inflation going up.its getting harder to stay in the US.but everybody are different.some choose the american lifestyle .but if you want your dollars to go far this is one of the choices.Good luck to you.be safe.
Its a good company to work for when it comes to benefits. You just have to deal with management, politics and co workers that they think they dont have to work hard.I just did my job,did my time and took my deserve benefits. And now enjoying my retirement.Goodluck be safe😇
No we sold it. I Dont want to rent it out and deal with renters and maintenance.and my kids dont want to stay there either.tahnks for your question.be safe😇
Are you talking about dollars or pesos. One million pesos is not enough. Since you're not a citizen you can't own any properties. $1M it doesn't matter what countries it goes a long way.
For the 2 of Us.we budget 2k a month but we only spend 1500 the most.no rent and car payment.its all up to a person how much they need.what kind of lifestyle they want.thanks for your question.
Not really accurate statement. Only in a Democrat states there's problems. We don't have any issues in Florida (the state I retired from the Navy) nor here in TN where I'm currently residing (open carry). You come acting like an idiot. You go home pretty holey.
i'm also a nurse and currently residing in california. i must say that i don't have plans in going back to the philippines since my life here is 10x better compared over there. i also waited for my green card before for 10 years so it's a hell to the no. and now that i'm a citizen, why still go back if we have a corrupt government and worst president specially digong

Hi, a new subbie of your channel. I'm just amazed I can relate partly with your experience and lifestyle choice-- retiring back in Ph early. It's nice to know it's not
me alone thinking and planning of life this way.

New subs here in support of my Kababayan. Life here is really simple, just be content with what you have and you will have a happy life here.
Absolutely correct bro
That's true... retiring in U.S. .. all the money savings you have will be gone in no time.. take that savings in the Philippines will come a long way! as you've said it's stress free! I'm here in Minnesota.. i've decided to retire in my homeland.. I refuse and hesitate to retire early here.. right now I'm still stressing bec. of rushing ..work... life is about work here... which is good but I think it just a dead end when it comes to retirement! Most of seniors here are still working 62 and up just to get their needs as or bored as hell ! Born in Pilippines and moved to Minnesota age 10.. i do have recollection of our homeland.. living in 2 worlds that I'm familiar with.. these day's I chose Philippines!

@@besmart2-w5o kaiser will cover emergencies if you are outside US.we have local base insurance right now.
That's good to know. I do have Kaiser so I will definitely inquire more about it. Thanks for sharing this information.
Did you get health insurance there and how much?
Thanks for your question.the premium depends on how much coverage you want.
It could cost from $700/ year to $3000 / year.be safe😇
We’re both RN me and my wife here in Canada in our 40s ..What can you advise to plan to retire in PH ?Thanks
@@nicholasdeguzman4241 Thanks for your reply .Yes we do have employer matching sponsored retirement too ,thanks eh and enjoy your retirement there in the Philippines.

We planned our retirement

LOL.

How much is your pension from Kaiser permanente
I’m shooting for 57, for my PI retirement.
Wonderful Goodluck bro
Were you able to retire at 55 with your full pension? I would lose half my pension if I retired that early.
Yes thats exactly what I did 😇
Are you collecting Social security? When did you move there? Are you in Manila and which part?
No too young for SS.3 years ago.manila.😇

How big is your condo? Do you have enough room when your children visit? Did you have any hesitation at all when you decide to retire in the Philippines, knowing that your children and grandchildren are back in the US? This is the reason why we are hesitating.
