Dude don’t you just love the super crisp cut of the phaze blade! I find myself always grabbing that black label master over the entire arsenal of tools I have, My favorite lineup right now is this, both black label clippers, master, m force, (thank you Matt A) the envy 2, the PN slimline, and last but not least, the SC instinct and the Babyliss lo pro with the OG graphite blade, the only reason why is if andis made a soft hitter similar to the graphite blade and a vector clipper it would be a wrap!
Im glad Andis is FINALLY listening to the barbers. In the corded era them and wahl were the GOATs but in the corldess era Andis fell short for me. I will gladly switch back if their updated versions end up being the truth. I still keep my orignal corded masters plugged in at my station but with a new phat master blade. Thing has been running perfect for 12yrs+. PS. Congrats on the new house!
@@madkaw991 for me it works perfect in tandem with detachable blades. im able to blend from 1a - 2 with no guards. great for tapering as well because of the shape.
Andis didn't listen to anyone....... It's the exact same clipper as the 12660 (the last update before this) and all that was is they sapped the motor to lower the RPM so it would be quieter. You'll still have to replace the yoke, bracket and spring every month . The only thing different is the blade and the color. They haven't listened. They are too focused on animal clippers and couldn't care less about barbers. I'm so tired of sticking up for andis. I've gone through 5 cordless Masters in 3 years. It's a great looking clipper, I'll admit. I love the black. But idk if I can justify giving them that much money for a paint job and a blade. How disappointing. Not to mention a slap in the face by forcing us to order parts every month to keep it kinda quiet. How hard is it to put some pride into your products?
It’s so interesting.. some clippers explode. Some short out. Some the blades are super thin. Some clipper companies don’t even design a thing… with andis after 21 years of barbering, I got the new black master and the M force. And then envy 2. All I can say is holy crap! The black master is a beast and the MForce trimmer is incredible. Nothing beats it right now. The phaze blade is a true zero gap. You can blend down to zero and then blend up with the MForce effortlessly. No setup can do that. None! A team brings the heat! Stay tuned because some really cool things are coming…
@the_original_Versastyles of course its the best system for you, you received it for free directly from Andis, why would you say anything negative and risk getting off the get stuff from Andis list? Andis has confirmed in writing that this is the exact same clipper as the most recent model, no changes other than the blade and paint, they are just using this new paint job to market the blade. I dont hate the hustle to get free product and youtube views, everyone must do their own research before spending their own money. you guys push the products and we push back to help others not fall for the hype. the game is the game.
I need a month update on these before i buy em. The old cordless ones cut really good but man the sound bro the sound was so loud i couldnt use em anymore. If they just fix that they will be my main clippers
Thanks for the review! How would you compare this to the .50 Cal BMG? I'm in the market for a new clipper. I've owned the Babyliss Pro GoldFx and Corded Andis Master. I tend to lean toward the Master for its weight and overall toughness.
Love how it looks and sounds. My only super critical critique with the unboxing is that the sticker on the switch says NOT TO TURN ON WITHOUT FULLY CHARGING IT. I believe that is so you do not mess with the batteries memory. I could be wrong , but I don’t think they would intentionally put a warning label on there for no reason. I would personally like to ensure the battery life on that master piece 😉
The Phase blade is basically Andis' version of the Wahl standard blade (as well as the other brands: Stylecraft, Caliber, JRL, RED, Babyliss, etc...). Nice addition to the game☺️.
I don’t understand why they still sound like that ? Every other brand has no sound and cuts amazing. I’m not saying Andis doesn’t cut well but why why why do they still sound like that when there turned on

Congratulations on moving up to the EASTSIDE OF TOWN LOL congrats on the new shop to open! If i was to buy a clipper today it would be this!!! I also feel like the new wahl vapor clipper will probably blow these outta the water!!!!!! Js will see!?
Andis in my eyes have slowly to the "Wahl form factor", and now it's complete. What I mean is that is that just about all clipper companies have use Wahl as the standard in the industry. Andis started by offering the 1/2 and 1 1/2 guard to get some of the Wahl users to move over. Now the new Faze blade is the finishing touch, it cuts to a similar length as Wahls fade blade. Wahl users never liked how long the clipper cut with the lever wide open. The only thing I wish they had left was the ridges on the blade, pretty much just make it a Faper blade. I never liked Surgical blades, because if a customer has clammy skin the blade doesn't glide how I like. With ridges the blade has less drag on the skin due to less surface area.
I understand but it is a completely different blade. All these Wahl like companies get their blades from the same place. Andis makes them from scratch in Wisconsin! USA all day!
@thewoodshedbarber I agree that all the Wahl like clipper companies are using very similar blades. The fact is that they're using what are Wahl Fade blades with ridges. Like I said before I really don't care for the standard flat fade blade because of the drag on the skin. The Andis Faze blade reminds me of the Wahl fade blade with a DLC coating. I don't dislike Fade blades, but I do prefer blades with ridges. That way that it'll glide along all customers skin.
@@Mike-hy8cs I have a Fade blade on 1 of my cordless Andis Masters 2 with the taper blade and 1 with the Phat blade. I actually like the cutting lengths the new Faze blade cuts at, just wish that it had ridges.
@WazzyTV I thought i was the only one who noticed that. I think the one he had was the updated versions tho which also have the improved sound profile already so it makes sense
@WazzyTV Thing is from what ive noticed cordless clippers dont have the power to power through the hair with a lever that opens that wide. A lot of times it will miss a lot of hair because of that. They probably tried to do it and realized it didnt work properly. The cordless fast feeds are a good example of this. If i fully open my cordless fast feeds it misses a lot of hair and you have to go over the area a lot of times. But if you open the clipper halfway it cuts very clean and precise. Just a food for thought
