Cattle Rack For Trailer! What's Your Thoughts?

- I sold the small 2 horse trailer and bought a cattle rack. What is your experience with one? I think it will be easier to load cows and pigs. This rack is 16 feet long with a middle gate and slide gate on the back. Thanks to my friend Tanner for selling it to me.

Pretty good idea right there. For us small guys this is probably the way to go. Thanks for sharing
That's a good idea..we made one for goats and pigs and it's handy
Looking forward to using this one for pigs too, my horse trailer was so dark they didn’t like going in it
I like it! Especially how you can take 1 trailer and use it for all your needs. I have a two horse trailer and I like your approach better than mine here. That trailer just sits and rots here, where your strategy keeps it working year round. Bravo! You look like your starting to feel better! Glad your on the mend!
I like the idea. To fix the spacing issue, I was thinking you could weld on a hook type fasteners to the 2 sides and front that hooked over the rail of the trailer. Then just use a tractor with forks to lift it off and on to the trailer. Just a thought.
Nice! We got ours from O’Quinn’s in Coeburn, VA. We haul cattle and hogs. It works like a charm! Close the cut gate and keep the livestock up front when traveling. If the animals get in the back, it’ll get a little light on the hitch. Found that out the hard way on the way to the slaughter house!
Thanks for the advice!
also when not using it you could cover in plastic and use for a hot house to start seeds in. God bless.
That’s a good idea
Enjoyed the video Jared. That is a very nice cattle rack. My Father in law had one and we used it for moving furniture and other things. You could pack boxes and furniture up high with very minimal tieing down. Y'all take care and God bless.
Thank you Jared. God Bless and stay safe.
Howdy Jared- that’s a nice find on the cattle racks. I remember people with the wood racks on their pickups. Haven’t seen one those in many years. Take care and God bless y’all
My grandpa said that’s how they always hauled cows and mules. I seen an old wood set for sale other day but I think they were past there prime!
Still have my grandads Ford F100 and the wooden cattle racks!....but not enough nerve to try to haul livestock like that!
Nice purchase, that should serve you well. 🙏✌️
Trying to save a dollar is what its all about in this day and time. The trailer rack looks and sounds like a good idea to do just that.
Have a Great Week Jared and God Bless 🙂.
I don't know how sturdy it would be... but cost wise you can always use a painters drop cloth canvas n make your own grommet holes
Good idea
What a great idea!! You always come up with some ingenious idea! Amazing.
Thank you
I'd say you made a wise decision. I'm also thinking a cattle rack might make a nice frame for a small "shed". ??? God bless.
Yea I’d say it would be
Yes Sir. That should do the job. Sure is pretty country over there.
beautiful country
Looks good. Perfect for cattle.
Looks very nice! Makes good sense!
Good morning Jared, check the floor for soft spots. They rot real easy setting in the sun. Keep it working and it will be a handy addition around there. Stay safe and have fun. Fred.
Yes for sure, I just had to change this floor, it looked good but when we stepped on it you could hear it cracking
Love the scenery
Looks like you got a good deal. Using some 4X4 blocks screwed right into the floor boards would be the easiest spacers to come up with. Pretty cheap too.
They work great
Great video! Blessings
Nice trailer..❤
That looks like it will work.
I need one of those. Thanks
Looks great, Should do a great job for your needs.
Looks pretty slick should work
very nice. I want to find one for my 10’ trailer.
Looks good.. Do you know who made it?
I’m not sure!
I’ve not seen one before.
Been a while since I’ve seen one. I think it will work fine for you! I saw your black dodge back there. Did that guy buy it? How much are you asking for it. Sorry to bug you.
Take care.
No he didn’t buy it, shoot me an email flutylickhomestead@gmail.com
