Moved to this area 4 years ago. Finally able to fish it this year. I love eastern Idaho! Oh and that first fish you caught was a nice brookie not a brown. Just an fyi. Frost Stop is a must have burger on my way home from island park! Perfect way to end a day of fishing. Next time you’re in the area try the Buffalo river. Most beautiful river in Idaho! There may be a few people on it but it’s loaded with fish. Caught my PB 3 weeks ago. A toad of a rainbow at 18 inches and thick. Love the content! Come back soon!
Good graciouis,m beautiful easter ID, now you go me salivating for my own slice of paradise i streamside private Idaho, thanks for sharing the inspiration and passion Mike, hope 2024 is awesome year full of new fishy adventure and few outstanding meat hang slabs along the way!
I didn't enjoy seeing you struggle but it's nice knowing that the struggle is real, even for people that fish very frequently. All of the struggle side of the equation certainly makes successful experiences so very sweet, and that's what I love about fishing I guess LOL!! Love your videos man. I hope you always find the support you need.
@@FLYALLSZNlet’s goooo! Great video, didn’t have time to take a lunch these last few days and finally got around to watching! As always great job capturing these moments and the commentary tho I’m a 22 year old weekend warrior myself leaves me more than excited to get out on the weekend and keep my lines tight and feet in the water! Cheers man!
I stayed in the Driggs/Victor area last year for 4ish days. I loved East Idaho. Huge rainbows and browns where I fished! New to your videos, but definitely a new sub. Great content!
I struggle with the Henry's Fork every time I go there. I always catch good fish on the lake, but little fish on the river. Sometimes no fish on the river. Great video, Mike!
We were there this past June 3-7 saw hords of salmon flies but fishing was slow, got in a drift boat for one day in box canyon and went 14 of 15, dragging pmds and rubber legs, at the end of the day we went straight salmon flies on the surface and I got 1, still beautiful country, and I'll be there next June as well
Fishing in my backyard. It can be tough during the stone fly hatch with critters and gored fish but, if your willing to get off the path a bit and good timing, fishing can be magical. Good luck next time.
Great video and descriptions - I'm curious about what you wade in, it's more close fitting and almost neoprene looking. Are those waders, does it have stockings attached, or are you just kind of wet wading but with underarmor type stuff on for a little warmth? It definitely looks easier to hike in than traditional waders. Thanks
We were there at the same time 🤣. I've been down there a bunch now. June is tough. The salmon fly hatch is kinda overrated. It's hard to time, and even if you do the fish might not cooperate. My brother, cousin, and my buddy all had a rough go in all the same areas generally, as you. Unless you are floating Henry's fork, or know a really good spot, the fish are too pressured. But, I'll tell you a secret. It's ok because very few will do it. You want those fatty 19 to 23 inchers, without crowds? Shots at bigger fish possible, and more likely in my opinion? Winter has it all. My best days are mostly in the winter. I won't even brag but if you can watch the weather and time a trip for Henry's fork area above freezing, it's totally different than the pressure of summer. The hell of it all with our June excursion is just over the divide, the Madison was on fire. I hit it on the way home for two days and caught a bunch of twenty inch rod benders, some in one of the coolest, most unique situations and spots I've ever seen. Maybe you'll find it if you poke around in the area. Keep that rod bent. 🕉️🏔️
@@FLYALLSZN for sure. Hit me up when you're in south west Montana. At the end of March early April I got a spot. One particular day I caught 7 fish in a row that were exactly 19. Many other fat 17 to 23, rainbow and cutbows, and that is the norm. If you wanted to join me to make a video I'd do it. It's roughly two hours outside of Bozeman. Usually get an air BNB and troutbum it for a few days straight. Honestly some of the best fishing days of my life.
Just wanted to ask if you know any good rivers or creeks to fly fish a couple hours west of Denver? I'm actually headed over there this week and was debating bringing my gear. I probably should have done more research but it was kinda last minute 🤷♂.
I loved your videos in Missouri I'm a Missouri boy but please take the words that cover the video out. I've fished many of the places you have gone however 35 to 40 years ago and wanted to see how it has changed. I couldn't see over half of the landscape because I couldn't see it. Please post videos without the screen being blocked by the words that you are saying anyway.
It's so great watching someone actually hike and travel for fish... instead of just plopping a boat and hitting the best spots.
Always so real
I had the same experience on Henry’s Fork this summer. I felt like a failure, glad to see it wasn’t just me!😂
Sometimes big rivers like that can be tough!
productions like this one make me wanna drop my hammer, pick up my fly rod, and never look back lol.. sweet video man!
I am always glad to see your work! I appreciate you.
Thank you so much!!

Hits the spot when I got my toasty
PB&J and milk on the side and forget about doing home work, and watch some fishing adventures
If I ever head out west, I'll check out Jet or Teton Peaks first for lodging. Those waterways look beautiful. Thanks for the video!
Yesssss! Can’t wait to watch this tomorrow on my lunch break! Nothing like a flyallszn vid to cheer me up from all the crazy in the world!
Hope you enjoy!!

I’m sure you were itchy for days with all those darn bugs 😂
I also have had a tougher experience with them darn drift boaters in idaho! I stick to the utah mountains near fish lake!
Your content is outstanding...keep 'em coming.

Sometimes too much food for the fish can be a tough thing for us anglers
Great video. Always appreciate your sharing. Great work.
Another good trip, Mike. You're right, it is beautiful country. I couldn't tell; were you strip-setting with the streamers? Stay safe.
Thank you!

The feet get a little wet! But the legs stay warm and protected!
As a die hard Oilers fan, idk if I can watch footage from someone who like the Flames now. Just joking, beauty as always!
Go Flames!!

What’s that blue pole you have there?

I would highly recommend more research!
Hahaha the wisest advice for most anything! Fantastic video, as always 👍🏻
I felt like your vibes were off, maybe it’s just me haha, hope all is well 🍻
Might be reading into it too much! Things are great!
@@FLYALLSZN you’re the one I come to for the good vibes, don’t ever lose them!
Your narration is truly second to none. The best I've ever seen in youtube fishing videos.
He’s so talented at this it’s crazy
I'll take you next time you go. Don't be afraid of boats. Fish see them all dah and trust me they still feed!
It is time!!! 🎣🙌😎
Does that look like a red band at the 15:50 mark?
Could be! Love that red stripe

Good man, Henry's Fork is a clown show. These various river systems are full of good trout. Get out and walk people, there are some gems out there !
