The Sautter Family, last night I had lightning storms around my house and after looking through the footage I found 2 bolts so far. It was cold and raining but I didn’t give up. I was so happy
These types of storms usually have quite a bit of lighting, but often 99% of it is very high in the cloud so it's hard to see on a time-lapse video during the day.
There was probably a lot of lightning under the rest of the storm. But in low-precipitation supercells, lightning doesn't form directly under where the tornado would form. It would be behind all that, where all the dark clouds are.
Incredible! Normally, you'd find the rotating supercells in the Midwest, Plains, and Deep South, but in CA, this is almost unheard of. I've noticed what looks like a rotating wall cloud in the time-lapse footage. I foresee that these storms along the west coast states will become more frequent in the not-too-distant future.

Amazing supercell structure with Meso and wall cloud going almost right over your head
you can't deduct whether or not it is a meso without using radar such as GR2 using storm top divergence.
Looks like a low precipitation supercell. Beautiful structure.

Lightning often occurs between timelapse frames.
There was a lot of lighting on the south end, down in Cottonwood looking south south east from there
