I’m hoping that special referee is not necessarily a match type selection. Rather, the position of the referee can be selected in the character select screen. Assigned in the same way we assign managers.
I will be a fair Referee until you piss me off then I’ll drop you with an El Slam (Reverse STO) handing the opponent the win and after the match drop him with an El Slam walk to the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship look at it ponder then drop it and walk off.

There is one problem I think is pretty big with almost ALL wrestling games and I've never seen anybody talk about it, so I'm just gonna put my opinion out here Commentary. The commentary in wrestling games is the worst of all sports games. 70% of the wrestling experience is the announcer calls. It's fine when the match is going on normally, but when something crazy happens (like a ladder or table finisher or announcer table break or someone falling of HIAC), it would be nice to hear the commentators have more energy. They sound so robotic. I mean, the game would be 100x times better if I could here Micheal Cole, JR, Mauro Ranallo SCREAMING THEIR LUNGS OUT when something crazy happens. It just makes the game way more immersive and real. Now, I do understand it's not an easy job for 2K. It's not a simple concept and I'm not expecting it right away, but in the future with development of newer technologies and next-gen consoles I think it's safe to say people would 100% enjoy more real and intense commentary. Hell, I wouldn't mind it even if 2K just ripped off commentary from actual matches in put them in-game. As long as it doesn't too repititive, I don't think people would mind, It'd just make the game feel more real. I'm glad the ambulance match is finally coming to the main wwe series. I never played the DS version of Smackdown vs Raw 2010. I only played the ps2 version of that game. The one thing that only appeared on raw 1 or 2, that i would love to see come to the 2k series is the replay. A replay of a move while you're still wrestling in the ring is something we haven't seen in a long time. Other than It’s great to see all of these future come back.
Please remove the ejection meter for Special Guest Referee. It takes the fun away. Or, at least there should be an option in the settings to turn it off.
Unpopular opinion: Cole Quinn needs his own showcase mode so we know the full story of his career, and it should have revamped versions of his original cutscenes with better graphics and whatnot

We need Smack Down Pain Hardcore mode! Where we can ride bikes and push opponents like 20 feet 😂 like powerbomb them and put a ladder down and jump 10 to 20 feet with a frog splash or Swanton that would be sooooo cool do things freely with Objects
They should just bring back Paint Tool in full. It'd be nice to be able to make designs in the game witout leaving it to use the uploader (that won't work anymore as soon as the next game comes out)

And if create a sign allows you to use custom images on signs… that’s gonna be GREAT for created wrestlers especially wrestlers from other companies and from past that are not in game.
The only 2k games I have played are 15-17 so the backstage features, special referee and anounce table moves all seem same to me as I was considering buying this one and it seems like I am buying the same game
This is literally what they do in games like this and Call of Duty. They take away or tweak features to add them back later cause there is only so much you can add to a formula. They literally purposely don’t have shit so that you have something to look forward to in next years release.
Never buying another one of these games unless they bring back a traditional button mash kick out instead of the silly meter flipping back and forth. Plus every year game seems the same.
I love the 2K games, I buy them every year and will be getting 2k24... BUT... Let's be honest. It's very ironic that these matches (Referee, Casket, and Ambulance) along with the hardcam feature don't get put in until after the hacks/mods on CC get banned by 2K. They know fans would be mad. But props to 2K for actually making these into actual features. 👏👏👏 I'm just saying though. 🤷♂️ But go figure when they let us have the Special Referee mode back, it's the return of the crooked referee replacement (WWE 13 style) 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Unless they're gonna dump the clunky convoluted grapple system that was introduced in 2k22 and bring back the old system then these games will continue to be a hard pass for me
Can we get a better myrise? My best way to describe how disappointing it was is this, I still haven’t finished myrise on w2k22 (because I keep abandoning the game but I always come back) I haven’t ever finished it, W2k23 I finished in 1 day, And I was just in disgust from playing, there was NO Decision making it was all pretty much a campaign (I’m saying the 2k22 version is better btw, it probably looks like I’m hating on it)

6:30 MyGM definitely doesn't have lifetime contracts in 2k22 & 2k23, some were permanent but the majority were temporary.
