Rajiv Kapurji it looks like you are right about the chakra between the eyebrows. I do my vichara lying down in bed. I lie on my back. I don't fall asleep when I lie on my back. Being still and focusing on the 3rd eye seems like a good practice. I have no faith in any deities and I don't like to identify with any religion. Bhagavan says this world is an illusion I have never liked murti worship and that sort of thing from my childhood. I don't know why. The teachings of bhagavan resonate with me because he says the I I consciousness is the only reality. We need to cling only to the feeling "I exist". So that is the only reality. So I am able to still the mind to an extent but not able to go beyond that state. So what do you suggest.? No yoga only bhagavan's teachings please. Thank you, sir.
Sri Ramana advised that one method cant be given to everyone. Each person is different and methods needs to be tweaked individually to get proper results. There are karmic impressions/tendencies and temperaments to watch before anything should be advised. There are layers of I sense that need to be peeled to finally reveal the background SELF (the substratum). It’s like digging a deeper hole which requires continues efforts and more advanced tools (practices). You can write to me on my email mail@rajivkapur.com and I will try my best to offer any advice to you.
Pranamam. Thanks for sharing this insightful interpretation of Shri RAmana Maharshi's Upadesa Saram. Posted to Bhagavad Geethaamritham, facebook.com/BhagavadGeethaamritham

And when I say advanced I dont necessarily mean yogic Kriyas or breathing. It could simply mean being more aware.
