Love the hi-tech hunting boots - aka Red Bands...classic. I've only previously watched your South Island stuff that's popped up in my feed, but it looks like your home base is near Ruapehu. Do wild deer roam on to the farm from the national park and Doc areas?
Yea mate pretty fancy alright! There is a big reserve that bounds on to our farm. I imagine the deer originally came from Ruapehu main DOC bush and spread around the nearby farmland. There are also fallow though which must have been released at some point a while back.
@@clarkeboyshunting Good stuff, beautiful hill country and i like the way you capture your tight knit family vibe in the vids. I'm not a hunter (am a fisho) but enjoy them a lot. I once visited a farm that backed on to the Pureora - not that far from you. The canny farmer had sections of sloping fence which deer could jump over in one direction only (into to the bush areas on his farm!).
@@thor_6886 thanks for the feedback we are trying to incorporate a bit of the family/work side of our life in the videos so it’s good to know you enjoy that side of things
Love the vids lads. Question, have you guys worn the Huntech butchers jacket (sleeveless pig hunting vest) much? And if so, what are your thoughts? Looking at them vs Stoney Creek Big dog. Cheers lads
Yea we wear them lots on the farm and out hunting. They are great for keeping warm while still being able to get your hands and arms dirty like when we are milking cows. They are really good and tough and the pouch and pockets are well designed.
Nice. Are use based in ohakune now or still up coromandel. If use need help keeping the deer numbers down im always keen im just in taumarunui lol. Nah good stuff
Hey clarke boys I love your content. I love hunting my self I have shot 4 deer and I’m only 11 haha. My first one I shot was at 325 meters in the neck running
Yea this hunt was just filmed on the iPhone so the sound isn’t great and if there’s any wind it’s not ideal but we didn’t have the big camera with us so it’s the best we could do.
@@clarkeboyshunting fair enough. There are some DIY hacks you can do to cut wind noise down when using a smart phone, UA-cam has a few videos. The video is a great video, tells an awesome story. It’s just painful having the volume up to hear you whisper with the wind noise. Thanks again for the good content.

shootin a deer with a300 is like shootin grouse with a 12 g lmao
Well they do normally shoot Grouse with a 12 bore so i'm not sure what your point is?
@@serverlan763 of course you do! Lmao 🤣

@@clarkeboyshunting thank bro I was very happy when u got it haha
Please buy a wind sock for your microphone. It would make such a difference to your videos.
Too true...the majority of the video was low level audio whispering and then continuing low level while walking and no longer hunting.
