Can easily spend ~$300 per person, ten (10) people for dinner, can and will set you back $3,000. Holy God Almighty... that's what most spend in a year for car payments... The point is that even if you do not plan to have any fancy meal, at least you know how it feels (to a certain degree) and what to expect in case you come there one day. Also it may spark you an idea that, if you're creative enough, you might be able to recreate their fancy dishes and enjoy that for the fraction of $.

This place was really good. I suggest looking into The Butcher that is right next door. This place’s price does preclude many from visiting but the taste was amazing. It is however so genuine and authentic and you can trust what you’re getting is legitimate. Enjoy 😉

That first filet is not Wagyu... Lol. Even the lowest grade A-1 Wagyu is $190 per pound cost to the restaurant... and WAY more for nice cuts like filet. You can see the A-5 stuff farther in the video.

Hopefully you were able to pick up some A5 Wagyu at Pape Meat Company while you were in the Bay Area. The selection at Niku fits your title description.
At that price its not a5 wagyu. Ive had a3 and the first time i tried it and for an hour after the only words i could say were "oh my fucking god". It was that good. A3 is like 4$ an ounce buying it unaged uncooked. A5 is more like 8.5 to 9$ an ounce. Honestly, for A5, this Niku is pretty affordable for restaraunt wagyu.
