What if I'm using find match but it's only bringing up figures less than the amount to be matched? I'm trying to match a banking transaction to a deposit. The amount was separated into $9000 and $21,800 when it came into the bank but we deposited it into QB as one figure of $30,800. When I click the $9000 or the $21,800 line item and select find match - it does not bring up the $30,800. How can I match both the $9000 and $21,800 to the $30,800?
Great video but I have an issue. If a payment is received where a customer has made payment for multiple open invoices and QB has not been able to match, I can’t search by customer in find match. If I search by invoice number and select all the relevant invoices and then match, each individual invoice is posted as a deposit in the banking register and not the total received. How to match one payment received to multiple open invoices for a customer and the total amount deposited in the register after the match would be great 😊
Hi there, I'm completely new to Quickbooks and want to set it up correctly. I have square batching so the end of a day I'll get a deposit in my bank however, this will make up several transactions - just want to make sure the matching will still work nicely in quickbooks. Also some of the time our day ends in square and we are still at an event 2am - not sure if it's possible to add other transactions to make a match...?
Apart from the pennies thing, I find another useful method is using the bank feeds record for closing bill payment. It can eliminate the exchange rate difference on bill payment transaction
Hi Aaron. Been watching a few of your videos and think they're great so want to start of with a massive thanks, however, can't seem to find a video on how to get started on quickbooks with ebay. I've seen your video on OneSaas integration and I've managed to set that up but not sure what else to do next. i.e. how do I set up a control account, etc. Do you have a comprehensive eBay set up video as I can't seem to find it.
Thank you for this video, it has really helped. Question: does it matter which I process first, bank transaction or scanned receipts? also I don't always know how an invoice was paid (bank or credit card) so I process that as a bill? Thanks to your channel my bookkeeping and vat returns have become less of a headache. xx
Thank you for this video, it took me an hour to analyze a transaction that doesn't match til I saw this video. The date range is indeed important.😅
Excellence Aaron, I did it. It's really the pennies causing the matching. Well done and thanks again.
Excellent! Glad it helped
Aaron I have a supplier that was paid in two separate payments for 1 bill. How do I allocate each payment that does not match?

Use find match - or mark the records as paid using bank deposit

I will include this in a future video, but best option is to us undeposited funds to make this work with bank deposit 😊👍
Beautifully explained thank you very much

You can create a workflow for both, but we always do the receipts first then the bank 😊👍
