Deputy Speaker of Nigeria's House of Representatives Hon Benjamin Kalu has confirmed that he has met with the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu a couple of times at the Department of State Services (DSS) facility. Kalu also expressed high hopes that the IPOB leader will soon regain freedom.
Hon Kalu disclosed this in a statement through his chief press secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu. He expressed excitement over the recent call by 50 members of the House of Representatives led by Hon Obi Aguocha seeking for the release of the detained IPOB leader. This video shows that the deputy speaker misfired in his assurance that Kanu will soon be released to score cheap political points which could jeopardize his release.He should have kept the matter secret until it happened. It also shows other concerns about making political capital out of the quest to release the IPOB leader.

While the Deputy House Speaker, Mr Benjamin Kalu, may have spoken too soon about Nnamdi Kanu's release, the fact remains that using the powerful political tool of Transparency is the best way to handle a determined igbophobian like Tinibu !!! Almost all the forces opposing Nnamdi Kanu's release speak through their political mouthpiece or forum, hence making the individual members anonymous. Transparency or public exposure will force Tinibu to show his hand publicly for all Nigerians to see. Transparency publicly shines the light on bad leaders, forcing them to appear good to the people. That fact may well force Tinibu to play fair and release Nnamdi Kanu for good optics. He cannot afford to show his igbophobia publicly. And that will show the power of transparency in politics !!!
He has not done anything tangible, so long as all the so-called good things he has done have not yielded any fruit. By kidnapping MNK,have they solved the Nigerian problems? The answer is No. If the Nigerian state is sincere in changing the situation of things in Nigeria ,it can not be archived by kidnapping who so ever that raises their voice for agitation, including Simon Ekpa the PM of Biafran Republic government in exile . Because their actions could be the solution to the Nigerian problems.
Your friend Kalu is a strong hater of Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB and therefore Biafran. He will do everything to sabotage MNK'S freedom. Even the speech you just read says it all. How can he claim that Tinubu loves Biafrans or Igbos? However, no matter his stand, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will gain his freedom.
