- In this video I will explain to you why applique is a good technique to use when embroidering designs with large areas of the same color. I seen this tip on another site somewhere. Lightly spritz the back of your design with water (don't need much) let it sit a couple minutes and the water soluble topper will come right off. Works great. Thanks for your vids, I always learn something...

Hello! New to embroidery. Do you use Aqua topping on all of your applique projects or does it depend on the thickness of the garment? Also, do you use applique if you were just embroidering on the same hoodie without any applique?. Thank you!
Great stuff if you didnt know if you just hit the start button after you frame out and cut what you need the start button bring it back in. Then it starts right away instead of hitting the frame in button and then the start again.
Well, yours works different because mine does not do that. I learned that the hard way. It started embroidering right where it was. Maybe because i am manually making an appliqué in digitizing as a pose to digitizing and using the create appliqué feature, idk but that does not work for me.

Hey Wade, im finally going to get the Mighty Hoop for EM1010 13x8 size hoop. Do you know if i can use the whole hoop size? I have a 12x8 hoop. And not sure if the EM1010 can do 13x8/

You have to create it in your digitizing software.

Because that’s how you have your letters arranged in digitizing.
HI AWESOME VIDEO, VERY DETAILED WITH GREAT INFO. CAN YOU PLEASE ADVISE ON WHAT TYPE OF FELT TO PURCHASE? I WENT TODAY AND WAS ADVISED NOT TO USE FELT FOR APLIQUE EMBROIDERY. ANY INFO IS GREATLY APPRECIATED
I’m not sure what type of felt it is, my Joanne Fabrics only Carrie’s the felt that I purchased. People will advise you not to do something based off of their experiences and needs but if the fabric gives you the look you are going for and you take their advice are you gonna get the look you want or the look they want you to have? Did they tell you why or was it just a you shouldn’t do that with no reason why? Just curious.
Can you show how you designed this in chroma luxe? Like how to program the placement stitch and how to do the tack down stitch. I want to do big letters on a hat.
Several people ask me to do digitizing tutorials and when I do then no one watches because honestly digitizing is super boring and takes a long time. When no one watches the videos it tanks my UA-cam anylitics and I have to post at least 3 good follow up videos to get back to where I was before I posted the digitizing video. For that reason I will not post any digitizing videos because people just don’t watch them. You can watch the beginner digitizing videos I have on the channel to get you started. Why do you prefer those Bent shank scissors over appliqué scissors ?
For me these are more precise. I have the appliqué scissors and hardly ever use them.

May I ask where do you got the design from?
This one I digitized from a picture a client showed me. Some are ideas I just create but I pretty much digitize anything I want to make.
How do you know which color to frame in and out?
When creating the design in digitizing you know what you want it to do on each specific color so when you bring the .dst into the machine you program your stops, frame outs etc.
