I Tried This DROP TUNING and the Riffs Got HEAVIER

- This is the first time I've used Drop A tuning on a lesson. The riffs came out very well and I was happy with the sound of everything. It definitely gives off a heavier vibe and makes creating ideas a joy.
I played an LTD EC-1000 Deluxe through an Audient iD4 mkII using the Line 6 DOOM Metallurgy preset Off to See the Wizard in REAPER.

Corey just what I needed some sick heavy riffs to start my Friday! Definitely would like to hear more of this ☝☝
Neurosis are masters with this. Build some tension with some weird stuff, then hit those low octaves. It sounds like the world is falling apart.
I love Neurosis. Been listening to them since the late 90s.
These Drop A riffs make my teeth chatter! \m/
Such a low tuning gets me in the mood for funeral doom. Would you consider doing a video showcasing something somber like Doom:vs or Mourning Beloveth?
I do some Doom lessons occasionally. I'll check them out. Thanks.
🔥as always. Do you know anywhere in Sydney for a good setup(possible plek also). Cheers champ
I used Deep Tone Music last time and he did a good job.
@@CoreyHunter good man,I’ll check him out. Thanks so much. Now…go to bed🤜🏻🤛🏻
Sounds SICK! In the patreon lesson do you talk about how you built the guitar tone too?
high gain / fuzz + octaver. untouchables type tone
@@tfwnoyandere It gives MASSIVE, NASTY (also sludgy) tone 🤘🏻
I used Line 6 DOOM Metallurgy preset 'Off to See the Wizard'. It's an excellent sounding set of amps and the presets are actually very good.
Corey, how can I contact you to ask you a question about one of your courses (which I just bought)?
@@alfredovitori the email you received with your purchase should have an option for contacting me.
random but I fee like ever since i put on locking tuners, my strat doesn't like getting dropped down but I might of cut the strings too close to the knobs
You physically pulled the string too tight before locking it off. It’s now unable to tune below that point.
Thats why new strings get tuned to B standard when they go on mine.
I use the polycapo feature from Line 6 and Neural DSP to detune. Tracks very well and saves the hassle of string changes.
I used to have that guitar in wine red, bought it for $200. I sold it for $300, dumbest mistake of my life. Miss it so much now.
Great video!
It will sound heavier in standard A
